- Welcome to a captivating discourse by Bodhisattva Swami Anand Arun, as he delves into the rich tapestry of the Jataka Katha, unraveling the mesmerizing relationship between Buddha and his devoted disciple, Ananda. 🌟
In this enlightening video, Swami Anand Arun shares the timeless stories from the Jataka tales, where Ananda and Buddha traverse through numerous lifetimes together. Ananda, born on the same day as Buddha, wasn't just a disciple; he was a constant companion across lifetimes, sharing varied roles such as king and subject, each lifetime deepening their connection.
Explore the fascinating journey of Buddha's family in Kapilvastu, where Ananda, Buddha's cousin, played a pivotal role. Discover how, influenced by Buddha's presence, many princes, including Ananda, were initiated into Buddhism, forming a spiritual community that lived alongside the enlightened one.
The heart of the video unfolds when Buddha, at 55, seeks a permanent caretaker. While other disciples eagerly raise their hands, Ananda remains silent. Witness the humility and love as Ananda expresses his unworthiness, leaving the decision to Buddha himself. Buddha acknowledges Ananda's exceptional connection, spanning countless lifetimes, and appoints him as his caretaker.
As Anand takes on this responsibility, he presents six heartfelt requests, revealing the depth of his devotion. Explore the positive and negative facets of these requests, showcasing Anand's unique love and compassion for Buddha.
The narrative takes a poignant turn when Buddha, at the age of 80, leaves his physical form. Ananda's grief is palpable as he cries for 24 hours beside Buddha's unburned body in Kushinagar. Yet, in this moment of sorrow, Ananda's enlightenment unfolds, illustrating the profound impact of his devotion and the transformative power of his connection with Buddha.

In 1974, he took initiation from Osho at Pune. After a few months of staying with his master, he was instructed to open an ashram in Nepal and spread his vision. Today, he has initiated around a hundred thousand seekers from 90 different countries into Osho Neo-Sanyas.
