This game is gorgeous, no doubt about this. Love the Streets of Rage city in the background. And that wasn't just any dolphin, it was Ecco the Dolphin 🐬
I love that reference. That game itself is weird i played it on a emulator but its just so cool!
btw, Sonic's fall animation in this fangame, appears to be his Sonic CD sprite, specifically when Sonic is so bored with you, he jumps off the stage and gives you a gameover
This kind of reminds of Classic Sonic Simulator but you can play as every character you unlock that is not in Classic Sonic Simulator.

On 9:08, this part is really funny because you just riding on the freaking dolphin! LOL 😆🤣😂
btw, incase you somehow don't know, Lilac and Milla are from the game Freedom Planet, that started as a 2D Sonic fangame during development, but then the devs changed their mind and went to make their own franchise, instead of having the game have ties to the Sonic franchise. Despite that she doesn't look like it, Lilac is a dragon, I'm not making this up, the game has characters say that she's a dragon. In her home game, instead of a spindash, she has abit of a mechanic similar to Boost Sonic's boost mechanic, except Lilac's version of it, starts with a slight pause before dashing, and she can use it in midair and bounces off walls if she hits into a wall. Milla I'm not entirely sure what animal she is, but I want to say, dog? There's a third member of this trio of characters, but is not present in this fangame it seems. Carol the Wildcat. Her gameplay involves using a motorcycle that in specific areas of levels, she can jump to specific areas if she jumps at specific spots on the level. And, she attacks with her claws

You should play the CSS test servers. It got a new update. LOTS of new test skins, time leaderboard, new backgrounds, better way to change object types, (and maybe more). It's an amazing update and you should really play it.

I just looked at the game and it says its not family friendly. I'm glad you didnt show it but, its kinda weird that a creator made random things inside of an online hangout game. (edit : it still looks epic tho I'm just suprised)

I just love online multiplayer, mindblowing and mania-like easter egg and lore-filled, level up Sonic and Mario fangames like these. I mean that fact that you could chat and draw onscreen like in SMM2, make your own levels and the town with the train. Heck, this was even better than the Roblox Sonic Simulator. I would love to see more of those awesome both 2D and 3D boss fights and unique special stages for sure. I love how there were all those characters too like Ugandan Knuckles (except that he is an NPC, if only you could play as him, dang it), Mecha-Knuckles, Somari, Pika-Sonic and that flying Motobug which was fun to see up against the giant Motobug named "Lady Bomb" for some reason.
I may be wrong, but my guess is that with that 3D boss fight on Ecco The Dolphin, the Tails was probably on a different quote unquote "Plane Of Existence". It's hard to explain, but I mean it's like how in the Roblox Sonic Simulator (and probably the 2D levels of this game), you can see where other players are at but when they (for instance) collect a ring, on your screen the rings would still be there and you wouldn't be able to interact with the other player (well I mean, you will be able to chat but won't the hitboxes of each player won't interact as in blocking each other or whatever). Come to think of it, that is how it is in Bee Swarm Simulator with regular enemies and mini-bosses, but with bosses it's a shared 'universal' (to the server) boss but I think it doesn't get more health from being fought by more people unless I am wrong. But yes, there are boss battles like that in other games.

Metal Knuckles, was in Sonic R, that one sonic racing game, for PC. And that level, felt like a Knuckles level.

I tried it from this video not too long ago, but my fps was awful and turning off all of the settings or having it in a smaller window didn't help, so that's a shame, but at least I can see how it would be from your end!

Like if someone wanted to make a level where the only characters you can play as are Sonic, Tails and Knuckles, can they do that?
I've seen Classic Sonic Simulator do something similar, but I wonder if it's implemented here.
