    I’ve heard standing still creates a shield around your body so you don’t get as cold. Vs moving constantly to feel the cold on your body. Thoughts?

    • @MichaelKummer

      That’s is absolutely true. That’s why I started moving around while cold plunging. It’s significantly more uncomfortable 🥴

    WHY DOES NOBODY JUST TAKE A BATH IN THEIR BATHTUB PLEASE TELL ME WHATS WRONG WITH ALL THE INFLUENCERS BATHTUBS WHY CANT THEY HANDLE COLD WATER

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  Год назад +1

      There is nothing wrong with filling your tub with water and ice. But if you want to take regular ice baths, using a dedicated tub that remains cold and doesn't require you to add ice all the time is more convenient.

      @@MichaelKummerBut how do I keep the ice from melting, or the water from assuming room temperature ?
      Plus the water should be changed anyway, every so often.

    • @MichaelKummer
      @MichaelKummer  9 месяцев назад

      @@stevejoshua9536 The tub I use comes with a chiller/filter that keeps the water cold and clean 24/7. Without a chiller, your ice will melt and you have to keep pouring in fresh ice before every plunge. Some people use an old chest freezer to avoid having to pour in ice all the time but you'll still have to change the water frequently. Does that answer your question?

      That's because the water temperature in my tub is 39 degrees Fahrenheit. Cold enough to get all the benefits. But if it makes you feel tougher when you see ice, throw in a bag of ice cubes :)
