I just made this. It is delicious. I did reduce the chili pepper flakes to slightly less than 1 teaspoon. It was still plenty spicy. I did not simmer the meat as long (per the instructions) only about 45 minutes. I also only simmered the rice for 15 minutes. My gas cooktop has a pretty hot burner. I almost scorched it. It still had liquid on top. When I stirred it after 15 minutes, it was done...perfect.😀
