Hey guys thanks for all your comments and suggestions on the video. I defiantly won’t be leaving my tool box in full view again 😂. As suggested by many of you I have created an Amazon Wish List for the stealth camping, van build and videos in general. If any of you would like to contribute and help me to be a little stealthier then I’ll leave the link here for you to check out - www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/1QFVV2GCNP8DY?ref_=wl_share I didn’t really know what else to add for the moment so leave any suggestions below! “3M E.A.R. foam classic” are my fav ear plugs when we camp. Comfortable to wear and block out road noise but I can still hear any louder noises like bangs & thumps outside. Love your stealth camp vids but prefer ones where you are somewhere more scenic like city or urban parks (not dodgy ones though! 😳) The simple life is the best life! 🥰🏴
I think I like these, because when I was 11yrs old (about a million years ago) my dad, mum and I used to drive to the South of France (there was no motorways then) My dad just used to pull over anywhere and sleep til the morning and we would make tea on a stove in the boot, so it was always a suprise where we woke up ! We found orselves in a driveway of a farm one time. Sometimes we would pull into a campsite of which there were many, and pitch the old canvas tent that we had. They had the usual awful old French loos and cold showers., I used to wash in the streams that were often there. My dad did the shopping as he spoke French, we seemed to live on Port salut cheese, peppers and a bag of peaches, steralised milk and several bottles of local wine. When we got to the South we pitched up in the grounds of a small hotel, they had amazing parties in the evening, I remember a fancy dress one they had, as an 11yr old it was so exciting and exotic, the girl who won was dressed in hula-hula costume , she was beauitiful ! My first dip in the Med was freezing and I was amazed that I could see my feet. Oh, I have gone on, hope I havent bored you !! x
I think people like these sort of videos as it brings everyone down to earth and shows people stuck in the rat race that you don't need the fancy cars, big house, corporate job etc to live and as you say its the simple things in life that give you the most pleasure. Am looking fwd to you completing your van build and in the meantime you have a new subscriber - loved your NC500 trip.
Tip Top Tip....I live on Tortellini when fishing, camping etc as it's so easy and quick but tasty and filling. Anyhow get a jug bigger in capacity than your saucepan and drain the hot pasta water into there. Finish your scoff then use still very hot water to wash out pan covered in Pesto, Cheese etc....simples!
I love watching you...Steve Wallis... Mav...ab camping.. my basic journey with Chantelle... Vancity Vanlife... The cat lady and stealth camping adventures because I get to live vicariously thru you guys as I'm no longer able to do it myself. So enjoy yourself while you can. Life is short!!!
Will I recommend you get a construction worker vest that you can just plop down to the front rather than a toolbox. That way folks who do get close enough can see it yet those who arent trying to break in will respect it as a construction vehicle
Leaving tool boxes on view is a big no no. Love the blackout curtains, I stealth camp every day so I know what to look for, even parking so light doesn’t shine in your windows.
Hi Will, Great video with the usual mishap (you burning yourself) be careful putting the hot pan on your new floor. I think the reason that allot of us like your stealth camp video's is because of how you present them. There is not many of us that will be able to do one of these stealth van camp because for one you need a Van besides it's much more fun watching you go through all the trials and tribulations. All the best and look forward to the next video.
Watch all of your vids mate, here's why I enjoy them - it's authentic, no bullshit, if you fuck up, we see that, but also awesome to see the progression of the van build bit by bit and how you're adapting. Always enjoy the stealth ones because it seems a bit cheeky, but I think that relates to us all. Keep 'em coming.
I enjoy your videos and a few others who do similar things is because I do not have the time or money to go and camp or camp in a car over night. I feeling of freedom, no strings, no worries just drive park up and relax. Your videos and others gives us folk who are tied up with life a get away, a freedom for 20-30mins once a week. For that I am thankful. I can relax with you. That is why we love your videos.
Tools on front seat lmfao !!! Your insurance will love you “so you left a drill in a box on the front seat, on full view, is that correct sir’ lol good luck with that !
I think one of the reasons we watch and like your videos is because you do what some people would like to and its great escapism Keep up the good work mate
Easy sleep ear block 500 Comes as a gel or pellet. The gel is applied around the top of the ear to stop the ear vibrating when there's heavy traffic. , pellets are used as normal, combined you won't hear anything. Not even a broken window to steel your drill. Great vids
I think its that kind of wanderlust feeling you get from stealth camping or watching others do it! I love watching the process & not alot of UK peeps are doing it as much as in the US (becoming more of a thing within last year or so)! keep it up & inspiring others to go for it & live out their dream/passion!
Ear plug wise for the foam ones, you need to squeeze and twist the end that goes in your ear and insert them while squashed. They then expand in the ear fitting you perfectly and making more effective 👍🏻
The best technique I have found is to pinch them small at the end wet them the reach around your head with the opposite hand and pull your ear up and back. This opens your ear canal. Then just pop them in. They go so deep you may have to pull them out a bit.
I’m not really sure why I like these videos so much. I enjoy summer tent camping personally on a campsite. However I think it’s like you say they are relatable. Most of us have been to a sainsburrys and can think I have had that pasta before. I think it’s also showing simple pleasures in life are achievable. It’s also a little bit of fairly safe adventure.
Your supermarket camps are always faves. Also really hope you do another pre-Christmas stealth camp this year. And I agree with everyone else... put a visible ~used looking~ clipboard (with boring paperwork) and a work vest on the passenger side. Make it look like a work van, just a bit. No tools! Anyway, great vibes as always.
I love watching the stealth camping videos because you seem so happy and free. Sometimes you get introspective about life after a great dinner and you are very relatable.
I think having ear plugs in when you're on a stealth camp is a bit of a risk, you need to be able to react in those kinds of situations if things go bad
You are so true about the little things. I have a few incurable health issues that stop me doing what I love (camping, caravan, stealth etc) Thanks so much for your videos. It helps me seeing places. Take care and all the best from South Yorkshire
We love them (stealth camps) because we would love to try doing them but rarely get the chance. So It's nice to see someone, especially someone who who appreciates it, doing it. Love it!
Night shift worker here, i wear howard leight earplugs. They are pink/yellow and the softest i've found. Ebay - few quid for 10 or 20 pairs. If you get the ones with a cord between them, this easily pulls out. I also cut them down a bit so they dont stick out too much and interfere with the pillow!
A good friend of mine years ago lived in his van and one one thing he always said to me was... I'm houseless not homeless but get a different view each time a wake up.... I'm very envious Will... keep up the great video's..
WILL! We love the videos! Just very calming and shows that simplicity is the most satisfying. We are expats living in Cannes, France. Why not take a gorgeous drive down to the Riviera and do the coastal roads to Monaco and beyond. We will buy you a Pan Bagnet as you drive through!
Love these little Stealth park ups Will. I can't really put my finger on what makes them so compelling. Perhaps it's the thought of being nice and cosy in the van and being able to shut away the elements outside. Your Supermarket Stealth bucket list surely must be to park up at as many UK Supermarket chains as possible. Boots do a good range of earplugs that aren't too expensive. The problem with earplugs is that you can't really try them on in the shop 😁 The fact that you take on board what are said in some of the comments means a lot to your fans Will. You don't mind taking advice and changing things along the way. That way we feel as though we are in it together with you. All your vlogs are great Will, looking forward to the next one. Graham 💪
I like the earplugs you bought as they fall out over night. I put them in and fall asleep, when I wake up I find them in the bed. The benefit of this is I will be able to hear things later if required, but was quiet enough to fall asleep. Make sure you properly roll them as thin as possible to get as deep in your ear as possible and alow them to expand naturally to fit your ear.
When we visited the UK for 36 days in 2017 we went to several different supermarket chains. Morrison’s was our favorite but there were a few Tesco snacks that were very nice too.
We use a little USB-rechargeable white noise machine at home, and then take it with us when we travel and camp so we have the same consistent background noise. It's a dense enough sound to screen out basic road and weather/nature noise, and keeps it from being "too quiet" so you're jumping at every little real and imagined sound. And it's shouldn't be detectable from outside the van - in fact it might even sort of "blur out" small sounds of you moving around inside. But it's not going to cover up someone talking right by your van or messing with it, so you're still being as safe as possible. Ours is a Lectrofan Micro2, it's slightly bigger than a golf ball (I put it in a bowl or mug for acoustic oomph), it will run 9ish hours on a full charge, and it will also run plugged into a USB charger.
at last an U.K stealth camper, I have been watching canadian and american stealth campers, I didn't realise we had people doing that over here too - you have got a new sub
For the side windows Will, I had a Vauxhall Vivaro with side door windows either side. 4mm or 5mm ply, cut out with a jigsaw the same shape as the window, they just slide very quickly in place, let no light through and if you spray them same colour as the van blend in nicely Paint white for the inside, reflects more light back too Stealth without curtains
I'm in New Zealand we are all ways in lock down, I love the journey, build and travel. The failures are just life , this isn't a Kardashian life where everything this is perfect . Ups and downs, make for interesting content 👌
Hi Will that hissing from the travel hob is the canister isn't in properly, it just needs abit of fiddling about so it stops, b really careful as it can set a flame off near the canister. Stay safe xx
Hello will, I’m a viewer from Singapore and your question why i watch your videos? Well, I was actually watching a few similar RUclipsrs like you that does van camping and it has always been a dream of mine to go on to such trips. I especially love winter van camping and the ones you do. Love the freedom to go anywhere and able to stay in a van. For now, I can’t do such trips yet but watching your videos and from other youtubers, it makes me feel happy for you guys. It’s interesting to watch how you all deal with different daily problems while on van camping, pretty relaxing too! So keep doing what you are doing now, Will!
For our household, we like watching your videos, because you are as “awkward” as we are. You don’t know how to build a van, but you’re doing it anyway. That and You are fairly funny without trying to be. Keep up the great work.
Hi Will, great vid! If someone has fitted LED bulbs in your number plate lights they may be the wrong resistance and bring the warning light on. Have a check and put normal bulbs in. Probably a festoon type bulb. 👍
Mad idea putting the tool box on the seat Will why don’t you put a sign on the side of your van saying please break in expensive tools inside. Any random smack head will think black Friday has come early if they saw that. Loving your vids though 😉
Random tip but hopefully it helps - try rolling your earplugs really really thin (bit like a golf tee) then put it in your ear and let it expand. Used to recommend this to customers as they all had to wear earplugs in an old job so hopefully it makes the cheap n cheerful ones go a bit further 🙏🏻
I've been sleeping with earplugs every night for over 10 years because I live near a busy intersection. The disposable orange type they sell at hardware stores are the most comfortable, the best bang for the buck, and also the most quiet, (If you use them correctly they make a significant difference, if you don't they're worthless.) It took a little while to get used to them, but now I can't sleep without them.
First video of yours I’ve seen! I heard you mention Foresty Forest, who is around my general neighborhood. Who else do you know? There’s Vancity Vanlife, Cat Lady Vanlife, Sharing the Wild, Tideline to Alpine, and Jeffie Bear. What’s great is all are friends, and are connected to a community who support each other and can give you great advice.
Why do you always feel the need to hover your hand over a gas flame to see if it's hot. I get it if you were checking water coming from the hot tap. I promise you, if you see a flame, it'll be hot! 😂🔥
I laughed at the placing a hand over the flame to see whether 'fire was hot' as well ... !!! Another classic was 'I don't want to put this lid on the bed, so I'll put it on the other side of the bed ...' ! 😂
Coz spirituality is the way ahead and outta this matrix! Well done you for realising and making plans for your future to free you from these systems which are destroying themselves from inside out! I knew there was another reason I resonated with you, deeper than just stealth camping, from the very beginning! Good luck with the build and to your new found freedom when your home in wheels is complete to your liking 💕
Its something exciting about camping in stealth mode. One tip from me is to hang the curtains a bit higher so the light isn’t coming through the rings of the curtains. Like your van built video’s too! Keep it simple
I was wondering why he wouldn’t just reorder the same curtains and remake those stripped window coverings, bad sewing and all. As a viewer I’d rather watch him make them so I can learn how to do it too!
Your inside lights appear to be as bright as a surgical operating theater, dimmers! Yellow vest and white construction hat on front dashboard ads a nice touch. Get your license plates in a registered company like " Willis Construction LTD"....LOVE the Stealth camping, its all about getting away with it! Maybe try and park in Mayfair or Marylebone, hahaha. Cheers Will, great content!!!
Small point but, if you twist ear plugs before placing in your ears, they then expand and block the ear canal more effectively. Even cheap ear plugs should work. Happy camping.
Hi will I don't have a campervan but some of my friends have campervans. I watch all your videos and think your doing amazing job. Your videos are so natural and and your so honest . I'm Waterford in Ireland you should visit Ireland you have lots of viewers here. Keep up the good work and safe traveling
I've found that those gas cans start of good but as yiu use them they get ice cold and the flame goes down. But once you take them out and let them warm up back to room temp they work well again. The first time it did this I thought it was empty. Now I have 2 on the go and change them as the flame goes down.
Will, another great authentic and genuine video with your "signature" mistakes are brilliant (water 💧 scolding). As Merv said in a previous comment, I agree that a yellow vest or jacket on the passenger seat with a white hard hat will definitely do the job rather than a DE WALT tool box. Would you consider making a Christmas dinner in your van on a stealth in December ? Always a pleasure to watch you cook. Remember you can enjoy leftovers the next day. Keep up the good work and your positive vibes Will. 👋👍
Buy a yellow vest put it behind the passenger seat, then security and others might think your working with a mate somewhere inside the buildings Plus who’s going to break the window for a cheap jacket. They may break in for a nice toolbox Just a thought. Great video mate
Have you changed your number plate lights to LED? if you have thats why you are getting the warning coming up, LED bulbs dont carry the same resistance as a normal bulb
Twist the earplugs before you put them in so they are long and thin. This lets you poke them in quite securely and get a good seal. Then let them expand to their normal width.
I don't know why, but I like this kind of activity, maybe this is our nature and I know there are people out there also who have the same ideology with us, who loves camping, loves being alone, and prepping for a survival situation, thank you for your videos bro, may the Almighty will bless more on doing more activities in the future, this is Amiel from the Philippines...
Grab yourself a pair of sleep headphones off Amazon. They're just a headband with a thin padded speaker by each ear. Then just stick some white noise on. Works an absolute treat for me.
Hi Will, awesome video,it's like a different adventure in the van doing a stealth camp.you own private space.maybe your number plate light has a dirty contact for the bulbs, clean them with some wet and dry paper or similar.
Use a duvet instead of a sleeping bag. I used to use sleeping bags then tried a duvet and was just as warm and can move around more. I sleep year round in my van, don’t have a heater either
Why do we enjoy these videos it’s because you’re a legend Will keep the van build going your get there then you can live for free we’ll as near as dammit,,, love it 😊 👌🏼
Love all your vlogs Will, no matter the content, location, talking, no talking, whatever it may be, I find it always entertaining. Just keep doing what you're doing Mate, cause it works well 👍
I think these vans are notorious for false electrical warnings, I have a door open warning light on yet the doors are fine and when I first turn on the ignition it tells me the oil is low, yet its not. I've been told it could be where any faults have not been correctly turned off from the ecu, this is on my citroen relay van. Good video will👍🏽
Nice video Will. Glad you've got away without fines. When I did a parkup in an Aldi n the Medway towns I got a fine. The signs were all there warning me. I had no other obvious options so I chanced it. Cost me £40 so avoid Aldi. Keep them coming mate. Cheers.
Enjoyed the Video Will, but I was sure you were going to spill that dinner all over your bed - followed by a few F**ks !! (bleeped out of course). Some sensible comments here about that toolbox! Take Note. HiViz gilet most sensible and cheap. I've often thought about putting a "Horse Manure" sign on the outside of my van then no-one would want to steal it 😃 I like the tip about putting duct tape on outside of your stripey curtains. Again cheap and cheerful. The ceiling looks very nice. Hope you are pleased with it. Here's hoping you don't get a fine. Sainsburys is the dearest supermarket - Then Tesco - Then Morrisons - Then Lidl and finally my favourite (cos it's cheap) is Aldi. Looking forward to next Video
I love these videos!! I watch them because they are entertaining and learning some tricks for when I start my stealth camps!! Also, I think we need an IKEA 2.0 after the urban motorhome managed to it 😂 keep up the great work. Can't wait to see the van when is fully done!!! 🙂🙂🙂
In regards to your number plate bulb issue ,If you have or anyone previous fitted led style rear number plate bulbs it will drigger the bulb failure light due to resistance difference to standard, If you have standard bulbs in try replacing with new ones and spray electric contact cleaner where the plug connects to them, failing that you may have a bad earth point for those lights that needs cleaning up.
Enjoyed this video and seeing you have fun is all good aswell as means you can chill out and have a break to come. Back to doing the van build with a nice clear head
Really enjoyed this video. If I was Will I wouldn’t put a tool box on the front seat, I’d put a high viz vest & a hard hat there. Plus a “No tools kept in this vehicle overnight “ on the side or wherever. Also, a high Viz vest can get you into places where you’d otherwise be challenged.
You can get travel black out window covers that have suction cups meant for babies rooms in some baby stores, i work nights and stay in alot of hotels and these work perfect for sleeping during the day, be a good temporary solution for the side windows ✌
I used the cheap foil insolation from tool station (16779) cut to size with magnets glued on to cover my windows just as good as blackouts a little bit of insolation and cheap!!
Hey guys thanks for all your comments and suggestions on the video. I defiantly won’t be leaving my tool box in full view again 😂.

Due you can get black washable die off eBay. Iv use some and it’s cheap as chips 🍟
I would hang a used warn vest at the driver seat. So it looks like a handcrafter van.
High vis would do the job

Not sure if I missed it on the comments, but did you get a ticket in the post
A genuine trades person wouldn't have a tool box on show, inviting a broken window, all you need is a hi vis vest and hard hat in the cab.
Exactly this!
oh shut up
and some trash (e.g. an empty coffee cup, a tabloid, ...).
100% spot on
I think I like these, because when I was 11yrs old (about a million years ago) my dad, mum and I used to drive to the South of France (there was no motorways then) My dad just used to pull over anywhere and sleep til the morning and we would make tea on a stove in the boot, so it was always a suprise where we woke up ! as a guy who used to live in London i would say putting ur tools case on the front seat is a begging to get robbed xd
phahaha im sitting here thinking thats asking to be broken into lmfao

The fact that that van is not fully upgraded makes everything much better and more enjoyable to watch 100%.
Ear plug wise for the foam ones, you need to squeeze and twist the end that goes in your ear and insert them while squashed. They then expand in the ear fitting you perfectly and making more effective 👍🏻
Works even better if you just moisture your ear a tiny little bit prior to inserting the plugs
Wet willy anyone?

Appreciate the kind words 👍😃

Ours is a Lectrofan Micro2, it's slightly bigger than a golf ball (I put it in a bowl or mug for acoustic oomph), it will run 9ish hours on a full charge, and it will also run plugged into a USB charger.
Check out MORTS stealth car camping build what he uses on his windows maybe something you could be intrested in I think it's a great and simple idea.
His videos are great.
at last an U.K stealth camper, I have been watching canadian and american stealth campers, I didn't realise we had people doing that over here too - you have got a new sub
For the side windows Will, I had a Vauxhall Vivaro with side door windows either side.
4mm or 5mm ply, cut out with a jigsaw the same shape as the window, they just slide very quickly in place, let no light through and if you spray them same colour as the van blend in nicely
Paint white for the inside, reflects more light back too
Stealth without curtains
Loving your vids though 😉
exactly my thought lol
Yeah. I would put a yellow work vest and a clipboard with something about Septic Installation and sewage management. In BIG letters.
@@samanthagaudet1461 best idea yet!
@@samanthagaudet1461 Can confirm this works - At least as of so far 😂
@@Isomoar love it.
Another great stealth!
Those expensive silicone ear plugs can be found for around £1.50 in HomeBargains or B&M.
Love the stealth camp videos. Thanx Will
The stealth camping is really the best content here. Not a fan of the in video adverts though.
About the blackout side curtains, you could do the same as the front but put one above the sliding door and one above the window on screws or hooks.
I like watching your videos because it has shown me more possibilities of doing this myself.
Your video's show all the ups and downs.
Nice one,you have your own unique style, love it,can't wait for operation big willie.
Crawley :) loads of interesting places to park
Small point but, if you twist ear plugs before placing in your ears, they then expand and block the ear canal more effectively. Even cheap ear plugs should work. Happy camping.
I work at Asda and yes you can get a fine for parking to long even colleagues can if they don't input their details in the office
Loving the Foresty Forest mention, he is a legend!
Great video man! Love the grocery haul, cooking and humor. Thanks for making this one!
The simple videos are the best videos I love them fantastic work my friend
Simplicity is sheer happiness. Cheers.
Hi will I don't have a campervan but some of my friends have campervans. I watch all your videos and think your doing amazing job. Your videos are so natural and and your so honest . I'm Waterford in Ireland you should visit Ireland you have lots of viewers here. Keep up the good work and safe traveling
Can visibly see a flame....will: "put hand over and shout ow!" Haha.
Start a new craze flashing the peace sign randomly….brilliant.
Buy a yellow vest put it behind the passenger seat, then security and others might think your working with a mate somewhere inside the buildings
Plus who’s going to break the window for a cheap jacket. They may break in for a nice toolbox Just a thought. Great video mate
Chuck a clipboard on the dash and a hi-viz jacket on the seat, it adds to the camouflage.
Have you changed your number plate lights to LED? if you have thats why you are getting the warning coming up, LED bulbs dont carry the same resistance as a normal bulb
The numberplate light warning comes up as youve changed the bulbs to Led - you need either a seperate resistor or leds with a built in resistor
Look for canbus LEDs!
Twist the earplugs before you put them in so they are long and thin. This lets you poke them in quite securely and get a good seal. Then let them expand to their normal width.
I don't know why, but I like this kind of activity, maybe this is our nature and I know there are people out there also who have the same ideology with us, who loves camping, loves being alone, and prepping for a survival situation, thank you for your videos bro, may the Almighty will bless more on doing more activities in the future, this is Amiel from the Philippines...
i enjoy your videos mostly because i find them relaxing & enjoyable your presentation seems to work pretty well also !!
I do get in a good mood whenever I am watching your videos! It doesn’t matter what’s the subject. 👍
Use a duvet instead of a sleeping bag. I used to use sleeping bags then tried a duvet and was just as warm and can move around more. I sleep year round in my van, don’t have a heater either
We love the stealth supermarkets Will there so funny lol xx
love your videos and love watching you living in such amazing places...... a sainsburys carpark...... what a fun thing to do... keep it up...
Why do we enjoy these videos it’s because you’re a legend Will keep the van build going your get there then you can live for free we’ll as near as dammit,,, love it 😊 👌🏼
Nice Will, looking forward to seeing the van come on once Neil and Emma arrive.
Good video will👍🏽
Good to get back to the stealth camps just like in the Galaxy. Really enjoyed it.
Love watching your videos as youre so down to earth, no frills and give me an my daughter some laughs, keep it up mate
I've often thought about putting a "Horse Manure" sign on the outside of my van then no-one would want to steal it 😃
I like the tip about putting duct tape on outside of your stripey curtains.
When I was living in UK my favorite supermarket was ASDA.
Or get some magnetic "dog security" signs.
You should make a cook book with all the simple recipes you cook. I’d buy it
