“3M E.A.R. foam classic” are my fav ear plugs when we camp. Comfortable to wear and block out road noise but I can still hear any louder noises like bangs & thumps outside. Love your stealth camp vids but prefer ones where you are somewhere more scenic like city or urban parks (not dodgy ones though! 😳) The simple life is the best life! 🥰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I think I like these, because when I was 11yrs old (about a million years ago) my dad, mum and I used to drive to the South of France (there was no motorways then) My dad just used to pull over anywhere and sleep til the morning and we would make tea on a stove in the boot, so it was always a suprise where we woke up ! We found orselves in a driveway of a farm one time. Sometimes we would pull into a campsite of which there were many, and pitch the old canvas tent that we had. They had the usual awful old French loos and cold showers., I used to wash in the streams that were often there. My dad did the shopping as he spoke French, we seemed to live on Port salut cheese, peppers and a bag of peaches, steralised milk and several bottles of local wine. When we got to the South we pitched up in the grounds of a small hotel, they had amazing parties in the evening, I remember a fancy dress one they had, as an 11yr old it was so exciting and exotic, the girl who won was dressed in hula-hula costume , she was beauitiful ! My first dip in the Med was freezing and I was amazed that I could see my feet. Oh, I have gone on, hope I havent bored you !! x

I think people like these sort of videos as it brings everyone down to earth and shows people stuck in the rat race that you don't need the fancy cars, big house, corporate job etc to live and as you say its the simple things in life that give you the most pleasure. Am looking fwd to you completing your van build and in the meantime you have a new subscriber - loved your NC500 trip.

Tip Top Tip....I live on Tortellini when fishing, camping etc as it's so easy and quick but tasty and filling.
Anyhow get a jug bigger in capacity than your saucepan and drain the hot pasta water into there.
Finish your scoff then use still very hot water to wash out pan covered in Pesto, Cheese etc....simples!

I think the reason that allot of us like your stealth camp video's is because of how you present them.
There is not many of us that will be able to do one of these stealth van camp because for one you need a Van besides it's much more fun watching you go through all the trials and tribulations.
All the best and look forward to the next video.

Always enjoy the stealth ones because it seems a bit cheeky, but I think that relates to us all.

    Easy sleep ear block 500
Comes as a gel or pellet.
The gel is applied around the top of the ear to stop the ear vibrating when there's heavy traffic. , pellets are used as normal, combined you won't hear anything. Not even a broken window to steel your drill. Great vids

Ear plug wise for the foam ones, you need to squeeze and twist the end that goes in your ear and insert them while squashed. They then expand in the ear fitting you perfectly and making more effective 👍🏻

The best technique I have found is to pinch them small at the end wet them the reach around your head with the opposite hand and pull your ear up and back. This opens your ear canal. Then just pop them in. They go so deep you may have to pull them out a bit.

Night shift worker here, i wear howard leight earplugs. They are pink/yellow and the softest i've found. Ebay - few quid for 10 or 20 pairs. If you get the ones with a cord between them, this easily pulls out. I also cut them down a bit so they dont stick out too much and interfere with the pillow!

Love these little Stealth park ups Will. I can't really put my finger on what makes them so compelling. Perhaps it's the thought of being nice and cosy in the van and being able to shut away the elements outside. Your Supermarket Stealth bucket list surely must be to park up at as many UK Supermarket chains as possible. Boots do a good range of earplugs that aren't too expensive. The problem with earplugs is that you can't really try them on in the shop 😁 The fact that you take on board what are said in some of the comments means a lot to your fans Will. You don't mind taking advice and changing things along the way. That way we feel as though we are in it together with you. All your vlogs are great Will, looking forward to the next one. Graham 💪

I like the earplugs you bought as they fall out over night. I put them in and fall asleep, when I wake up I find them in the bed.
The benefit of this is I will be able to hear things later if required, but was quiet enough to fall asleep.
Make sure you properly roll them as thin as possible to get as deep in your ear as possible and alow them to expand naturally to fit your ear.

We use a little USB-rechargeable white noise machine at home, and then take it with us when we travel and camp so we have the same consistent background noise. It's a dense enough sound to screen out basic road and weather/nature noise, and keeps it from being "too quiet" so you're jumping at every little real and imagined sound. And it's shouldn't be detectable from outside the van - in fact it might even sort of "blur out" small sounds of you moving around inside. But it's not going to cover up someone talking right by your van or messing with it, so you're still being as safe as possible. Ours is a Lectrofan Micro2, it's slightly bigger than a golf ball (I put it in a bowl or mug for acoustic oomph), it will run 9ish hours on a full charge, and it will also run plugged into a USB charger.

4mm or 5mm ply, cut out with a jigsaw the same shape as the window, they just slide very quickly in place, let no light through and if you spray them same colour as the van blend in nicely
Paint white for the inside, reflects more light back too

I've been sleeping with earplugs every night for over 10 years because I live near a busy intersection. The disposable orange type they sell at hardware stores are the most comfortable, the best bang for the buck, and also the most quiet, (If you use them correctly they make a significant difference, if you don't they're worthless.) It took a little while to get used to them, but now I can't sleep without them.

As Merv said in a previous comment, I agree that a yellow vest or jacket on the passenger seat with a white hard hat will definitely do the job rather than a DE WALT tool box. Twist the earplugs before you put them in so they are long and thin. This lets you poke them in quite securely and get a good seal. Then let them expand to their normal width.

I don't know why, but I like this kind of activity, maybe this is our nature and I know there are people out there also who have the same ideology with us, who loves camping, loves being alone, and prepping for a survival situation, thank you for your videos bro, may the Almighty will bless more on doing more activities in the future, this is Amiel from the Philippines...

Grab yourself a pair of sleep headphones off Amazon. They're just a headband with a thin padded speaker by each ear. Then just stick some white noise on. Works an absolute treat for me.

Use a duvet instead of a sleeping bag. I used to use sleeping bags then tried a duvet and was just as warm and can move around more. I sleep year round in my van, don’t have a heater either

I think these vans are notorious for false electrical warnings, I have a door open warning light on yet the doors are fine and when I first turn on the ignition it tells me the oil is low, yet its not. I've been told it could be where any faults have not been correctly turned off from the ecu, this is on my citroen relay van. Good video will👍🏽

Nice video Will. Glad you've got away without fines. When I did a parkup in an Aldi n the Medway towns I got a fine. The signs were all there warning me. I had no other obvious options so I chanced it. Cost me £40 so avoid Aldi. Keep them coming mate. Cheers.

Enjoyed the Video Will, but I was sure you were going to spill that dinner all over your bed - followed by a few F**ks !! (bleeped out of course).
Some sensible comments here about that toolbox! Take Note. HiViz gilet most sensible and cheap. I've often thought about putting a "Horse Manure" sign on the outside of my van then no-one would want to steal it 😃
I like the tip about putting duct tape on outside of your stripey curtains. Again cheap and cheerful. The ceiling looks very nice. Hope you are pleased with it.
    Here's hoping you don't get a fine.
Sainsburys is the dearest supermarket - Then Tesco - Then Morrisons - Then Lidl and finally my favourite (cos it's cheap) is Aldi. Looking forward to next Video

In regards to your number plate bulb issue ,If you have or anyone previous fitted led style rear number plate bulbs it will drigger the bulb failure light due to resistance difference to standard, If you have standard bulbs in try replacing with new ones and spray electric contact cleaner where the plug connects to them, failing that you may have a bad earth point for those lights that needs cleaning up.

Really enjoyed this video. If I was Will I wouldn’t put a tool box on the front seat, I’d put a high viz vest & a hard hat there. Plus a “No tools kept in this vehicle overnight “ on the side or wherever. Also, a high Viz vest can get you into places where you’d otherwise be challenged.

You can get travel black out window covers that have suction cups meant for babies rooms in some baby stores, i work nights and stay in alot of hotels and these work perfect for sleeping during the day, be a good temporary solution for the side windows ✌

You should make a cook book with all the simple recipes you cook. I’d buy it
