I think this concert was held in Bhaidas Hall in Vileparle...This was his first public programme one year after his son's death.Chitra sat with him in white saree, did not sing. He released a cassette someone somewhere..

I was little depressed due to managing of loads of work. I heard about this song and the history behind the song just today morning. I tried. I forgot everything. Lyrics , music, and overall his voice. Thanks still I m living .

i started to listen Jagjit jee in my teen age and its been more than 20 years.... the ambiance is still magical ....uss umar mein bhi barbaad kr dia tha aur ab to vesy he barbad hyn ... may your soul be in peace .... as your voice always heals the hearts in pain.... aik meharbaan aur pani ke tara behti hue awaz shaid he dobara sunn ne ko mily.

I was totally lost when I first heard this gazal. Later Lataji's versiòn also came like a polished diamond. But the acute feeling in Jagjit's version was there, although he got the news of his son's accident later.
Your immortal voice and songs keep me occupied to the hilt.

Surprisingly,lata ji has sung this song better than jagjit singh ji,though this composition should suited jagjit singh jis more, than latajis voice.but then.......

Mr. Raj Kanwalji, Namaskar. With my due respect, I would like to say, Lataji absolutely sang the Ghazal really wonderfully in the Album Sajda composed by Jagjitji, but, as per my very little knowing about the album, I guess Jagjitji never recorded the Ghazal at that time. He rendered the Ghazal in various programmes in various orchestration n forms. I listened to many of them. Those were also wonderful as well. My respect.
