REQUEST TIME - Pete, please please STOP apologising for any of your cars not being clean. You are constantly having to do this and its getting boring. You & I both live in the UK and the weather here this year has been awful. You use and test the cars as they should be used. You take great pride in all your cars and its fantastic content you give us all three times a week, every week ..... Chapeau. We are not overly interested or get a buzz out of "garage queens". The people who seem to be always commenting on the clean car subject ...... Well !! I suggest they all go to the dealership showrooms and stay there (sparking cars there every day). Onwards & Upwards Pete, keep the wonderful and interesting content coming our way .................... Enjoy Le Mans.

I would vote for having The Highway Code made part of the National Curriculum. So that kid will learn that it's for all road users, and not just ones with engines.

Brilliant Midweek 180! Well done Jamie! She qualified in pole and led the race from the start with her two rivals hot on her trail. I believe she can get into F1 at some stage. Its good to see you so busy. For me I was at (and filmed) the London Concours last week, and may attent Cars at the Castle this weekend at Hever Castle. Good luck at Le Mans!
Hi all Peddlers, watching from sunny Tenerife on a weeks holiday with my wife, celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Day trip today to La Palma to see how the recent volcano has effected the island, it was amazing to see.
I think a policy of bringing back 1970's car colours would get my vote. Maybe lower BIK for cars with stuck on brown vinyl roofs. I think these are the things that the electorate really cares about, not cuts to National Insurance 😃
Hi Pete, great to see you on Wednesday this week, I was in Chichester working, and you went roaring past me in Ruby with the roof day, it brightened up my day.
Aussie and Volvo Pure Electric 2022 Volvo C 40 Crossover owner. Love the channel Pete. In Australia it would be more funding for EV purchases and charging station. We are way behind although we have huge distances to cope with.
My motoring policy: spend the revenue raised by fuel duty on our roads! Enjoy Le Mans - I was there when Jaguar won in 1988, an epic weekend. Enjoy the pilgrimage down there, thousands of petrolheads make the journey! AVOID the dodgy fairgrounds rides and questionable sideshows featuring ladies sans clothes! Make sure you visit the gantry over the pit lane at 0400hr on Sunday morning - it’s a magical time to see the cars pulling in, covered in grime, and to see the tired mechanics and drivers keeping the cars in the race.
Great midweek 180. I’m loading the car after watching this and getting ready for the ferry to LeMans tomorrow. Can’t wait. Better pack that PP T shirt again then 😂. I hope we see her in an F1 car. So deserved. The Alpine looked cool. I have a good friend who is on the order list 👍

Answering your motoring policy question … and linked to your EV comment, I think the government should say - reduce emissions in any way possible, as each option has it’s place. Either - EV, hybrid, synthetic fuel, hydrogen, or by keeping your car for many more years, and stopping this 3 year replacement craziness. I know that will upset the car companies who want as short as possible ownership!

Plenty of content for a MW180🤭 Congratulations to Jamie on her success in NXT well deserved. Will she get into F1, I doubt it, not because if ability but there are limited places and mountains to climb to get into running. Forthcoming election, as a motorist I would not trust any of them. Why do they suddenly promise the earth and yet they have had 10 yrs to deliver and failed. Waste of space.🤐 Watching progress with the garage with great interest, unable to comment whilst we were away in Cornwall owing to comms issues 🤐🤐 Looking good .

I'd love to see Jamie Chadwick in F1, but there are only 20 seats, well, 19 if you count the second Aston being hogged by Lance Stroll, so its difficult, she needs backing, big backing.
She has the talent. Indy would be good. Jamie and Katherine Legge at the 500 next year maybe...
I would like if we had our own version of the autobahn. Maybe if car drives have to do 35 hours of the same CPC course that bus and lorry drivers have to do.

Make councils spend the money they do get to fix potholes on fixing potholes. Currently it’s not ring fenced so they can choose to spend it on other priorities. I’m not against spend on NHS or social care but they should also have their money ring fenced.

Id say for the government to build rapid chargers with the use offered free to anyone with an ev. Or if they charge an absolute maximum price of 5p a kw. Im talking hugely government subsidised charging.
Also, when you hear some of the stories of the crashes journos have had in cars…. They’re probably just happy it’s not wrapped£ round the nearest bit of forestry, or got massive scratches etc in the paintwork from; parkin* dings etc. if you have the time, nobody would return a car filthy, but it’s probably policy to fully valet whatever condition the car is in.

One useful thing an incoming government could do is restore our roads to how they used to be before potholes and craters became an almost accepted feature.
There must be a huge unresearched cost for repairing tyres and suspension that we all end up paying for one way or another.
She's a good driver, but she only won a minor US race , while W series is a sub F4 series against below par drivers, I'm looking at you Naomi ! Good luck to her but there are 100s of good drivers in the world who don't get anything like the exposure Jamie receives.

Washing cars…don’t read the comments about why, when and how…most of us understand the pressures you have and remember I’m fanatical about it BUT a dirt covered car you have been reviewing is just fine!
Govt….Graduated driving licences..100 bhp 1.0l cars for 12 months..Advanced standard test then up to 200 bhp followed by another IAM test and then get going in what you like…but traffic offence takes you back to Stage 1!

Anyone buying a car has to take a mandatory spatial awareness test….it seems passing a driving test isn’t good enough. Fed up of people who are unable to keep traffic flowing because they think their car won’t fit in a gap that a bus has just gone through!!!

No, she's miles away from being fast enough for F1. I'm happy for her, the win in the NXT series is a big achievement but levels wise it's a mile away. She has a massive weight advantage being that she's about 3 feet tall and weighs about 3kgs though...
I think the next party elected should commit to bringing back the Romans and rebuild all our roads no potholes there 😊

I dont understand why women are not in F1. They are generally lighter than males and i cant think of any benefit male drivers have over female? In football or rugby males obviously have a physical advantage but motor racing is very different
Being lighter in F1 gives no advantage, there is a minimum weight for driver and seat, and ballast is added if they are too light.
