    The stock gauges on the 2021 Road Glide Special were just not adequate from my perspective. Check out this video and learn if you can indeed put CVO gauges on a non- CVO bike. The CVO gauges on the 2021 Street Glide CVO are super bright and very readable in any lighting condition This put me on the hunt for something that would do the job, be plug and play, and not be digital. See if this was a success.

    You should always pull the main fuse when working on your bike. Especially unplugging connectors, it’s an electronics thing.👍

    Nice job Rick. Enjoyed this. At least you don't have a light that stays on constantly like John Cyclefanatix. That I wouldn't want. I'm sure I would be looking at that non stop. Great video!! 👍. Stuart

      @@HDVIBE what do you think of the Dakota Digital gauges? I am on the fence between the ones you showed and Dakota.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  8 месяцев назад +1

      @Travelin4us The Dakota Digital gauges are good as well...I've never had them but I've heard nothing but Good things. I personally like the analog look so that's why I went with the CVO style. 👊✌️👍

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. I would not suggest putting used guages on your bike. You will get and error in the odometer showing VIN ERR. Once guages are on a bike foe 30 miles or so, they are "married" to that bikes ECM. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm am familiar with Dakota Digital however I decided against them as I like the classic look vs. Digital. Install is basically the same. You may need the dealer to flash them to the ECU but I'm not 100% on that. 👍

    If I Buy A Used Set Of Cvo Gauges And Do The Swap Does My Mileage Go Back To My Current Mileage Thanks In Advance

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  7 месяцев назад +1

      If you put used gauges from another bike onto your bike, you will get an error on the odometer that read VINERR. After 30 miles, gauges are married to the ECM of the bike. I'm not sure if a dealership can even clear the error with the digital technician. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👍✌️👊

    • @zman6939
      @zman6939 19 часов назад +1

      No, you'll get a Vin error code, which you can't clear,I rode 250 miles and it never married to the gauges, also my cruise control wouldn't work. Talked with HD service and they said it can't be done.

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  19 часов назад

      That is correct. The 30 miles I was referring to was if you out a NEW gauge set into a bike. Sorry I wasn't clear on that sentence. So used guages are definitely a do not waste your money situation. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. ✌️👊👍

    Has anyone ever tried putting take-off gauges on a bike?

    • @HDVIBE
      @HDVIBE  5 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching. If you use take off guages, you will get an error message....VIN ERR. Basically the guages are married to the ECM after 20 or 30 miles. So I would avoid using take off gauges unless you don't mind seeing the error message constantly. If you are already a subscriber to the channel...thank you. If you haven't yet subscribed to the channel I'd be honored if you'd consider doing so. Thanks for your support and ride safe. 👊✌️👍
