Many channels claim they remove for the filming. I believe that but it also seems like more work to take it off and back on later. I think it’s a toss up for viewers and we decide what to do anyway. Table saws are scary when I think of the suddenly violent force that can happen. That’s enough for me to think about ways to cut the safest way possible. Really comfortable with standard cuts with the blade only up past the teeth to minimize burn.
Hey curious to why nail the bottom of the tool tray vs running a grove? Love this design and anything you change about it since you got a years (at time of me watching) on this little guy?
Thank you very much for this great article and the great content. I find many of the steps in the process very exciting and are done the same way all over Europe. There is a big difference that in Europe it is not allowed to work with gloves on rotating machines. That means that hand shoes are not allowed to be worn on drilling machines, circular saws, table saws, electric planes, banks, thicknesser planes or whatever else is available. Also in case of an accident the insurance would not pay here. But in principle the work is absolutely identical. Well, how could it be different if you work with wood. And we do not have to reinvent the degree every time. I think it's really exciting how you have worked in the inlays for the clamps with the cnc milling machine. That inspired me a lot. But unfortunately I don't have such a big cnc milling machine at home. A great job and great furniture that was built here. I love your content and am already looking forward to the next affectionate greetings from Germany (Europe)
I'm only a hour or two south of you guys. I'm not sure you will find much use for the coat and jumpsuit unless you are working in a freezer. I didn't even need my big coat all of last Winter. LOL Good to be prepared in case we have a new ice age though. Love the bench.
Really beautiful work, Linn! The workbench looks fantastic! 😃 I was thinking about making mine with the tool tray in the middle... But after seeing yours I guess I changed my mind! 😬 What is the width of your top? Thanks!!! 😊 Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Wow! Been awhile since I’ve watched a build video. I did watch your new maker space video. Is this a local studio you use? Or is this all your new equipment?
Might it have been a better option to refrain from gluing the top to the frame so that when it needs re-flattening/cleaning up you could just pop it off and run it through the planer?
Bigleaf maple. I wasn't aware you could get it on that coast. Must have brought it with you when you moved. Speaking of: what was the name of that hardwood dealer you used near corvallis? I cannot remember.
I like my workbench, hate the tool tray. It constantly gets filled with sawdust, chips, lost pencils, etc--almost like a sewer, very annoying. I intend to remove the "tray" someday but not an easy job
I confess it was a bit of a shock to see you place the slab on the CNC to bore dogholes and mortises. I have no issues with using CNC machines...I just didn't expect to see it in your video on building a joiner's bench. Beautiful bench, btw.
Stół ładny tylko nie potrafię zrozumieć jaki jest sens budować w ten sposób kiedy jest na 1000% pewne ze blat zacznie pekac i rozwarstwiać się. Przecież to najważniejsze narzędzie w stolarni ?🤔
You are one of the few channels that use the blade guard on your table saw footage. I appreciate you showing that.

Linn your modelling skills are getting better with every video , nice work wear , the machinery made the work top easy.

What beautiful wood for a workbench and you will be reminded of it every time you work on it.
damn, it goes so well with the room

Enjoy from the bench!!!
Belle réalisation,ça fait vraiment un bel établi bravo à bientôt salut Jeannot 🛠😉
Merci beaucoup!
You make that clothing look good
Do you have a video for your collection of CNC locating and workholding fixtures along with the storage board. That looks pretty handy!

You're AMAZING Linn!!! Congratulations one more time 😊 Panos from 🇬🇷❤️
Good job
Wow.. your tools are so well organized!... I want to invite you to my garage. haha. did a good job!
Do you sell plans for the Joiner's Workbench with tool tray?
you are an amazing cool model , and make things look cool
Really enjoying channel, it’s going to be a great work bench 👍

Thanks! The top is 15 in and then another 10 for the tray.

That is a lot of work but very beautiful work bench !
Thanks!
Why not just use a countersunk bolt to secure the top to the frame tenon, so that when it gets beat up you can refinish the surface with the CNC?
Might it have been a better option to refrain from gluing the top to the frame so that when it needs re-flattening/cleaning up you could just pop it off and run it through the planer?
It's part of the rigidity of the whole unit. Easy enough to hand plane if necessary.

It was the last bit I had from Oregon. Check out @kghardwood on instagram for that type of lumber.
@@darbinorvar thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing that
amazing
Very Cool!!!
Excelente trabajo, saludos
Are you going to make some leather sleeves for your hold downs to protect future projects?
I already have put leather on the holdfasts, glued on.
Who is the guy doing all the work?
I love that figured big leaf!
Mr Orvar
It's a 50/50 divide amongst RUclips viewers, I know, but I miss the commentary! Will you make more without in the future or is this a test?
not sure, sometimes i do, sometimes i don't
Do you have a link to that horn version of Ocean Eyes?
Did I see a pair of Engelbert Strauss Work pants in the sponsor part? :D
Who has best dove tails?
Gorgeous bench!
Lovely. How long did it take?
I did the top last year but it sat for a while. Overall just a few weeks.
@@darbinorvar cool. It looks great and will last for years!
Hi,👋well done nice work table.
Thanks Vicente!

Great looking bench! I’m sure it will serve you well.

Why use the handsaw when cutting to length?
Too big for the tablesaw.
cool
I don't remember seeing Hubby doing so much work in these vids. Has he always been there and I've just not noticed?
We both run the channel, sometimes I do the building in front of the camera, and sometimes he does. 🙂
@@darbinorvar that’s good to know! This whole time I was thinking to myself “gee this lovely gal sure does have some masculine hands”
I think the coolest part of them being a team is that they’re both into similar projects. I think that can be rare for many married couples.
Darbin, your husband doesn't have a youtube channel, I really like how he works and what he does, because I guess those aren't your arms?
The Channel belongs to both of them. Her name is Linn.
One of the most unnecessary uses of the CNC ever
