This video is exactly what I was looking for and needed. I wanted to make sure this was possible because I really don’t want to stencil each one. I knew there had to be a better way. Thank you for sharing 💕

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!! 😊 I've been looking and trying to figure out how to do these for awhile!!! Everyone else does the flat canvas 🙄. Thank you so much for your video! And love that it wasn't an hour long...very to the point and so helpful!!!!
Ooooh lawd, I'm so glad you video popped up!! I did these for Christmas with vinyl and the weeding bout kilt me😵lol. I said there's GOTTA be a better way, let me run to RUclips, and here I am😁 THANK YOU❤!
thank you so much didn't know how to do this with this type of canvas you really helped a lot and u didn't take long to learn either love videos that get straight to the point
Thanks for sharing...I happen to come across your video from my search...This came out cool...but unfortunately this wasn't what i was looking for...because i do not own a heat press yet...but I still enjoyed this video and always ready to learn how to use it from others so whenever i do invest in one I will know exactly what to do when creating projects and art work etc...love the art design you chose for your clients...❤😊😍😁
Great tutorial! Thanks for sharing. I've watched other sublimation on canvas videos that included adhering laminate on the canvas prior to the printed transfer image. Would the reason you did not use this process be that your image is black vs colorful? Thank you in advance.
The reason behind it is because these are canvases that are intended to be painted on. If you were to add the laminate the paint wouldn’t stick to the canvas. The image isn’t meant to be super dark or super vibrant, they are just an outline for someone to paint. If I were going to make a canvas with a picture or something that is going to be a finished product I would put the laminate on the canvas. I hope that helps ☺️ -India
Hi! Great video! Have you tried using the cricut infusible ink? I have but my image is not as crisp and sometimes pretty blurry. Also, do you know if I could use the infusible ink on sublimation paper?
I tried your method. Worked great. I always scan my illustrations before adding color so put one on the canvas. I made the insert like you did but I noticed that the image transferred on the part of the insert right under the canvas. Will that transfer to the next one I do. I see yours looks good. Also would I be able to use the same process on a canvas panel board. Thanks for the video.
I wouldn’t know the difference 🤣. I just buy the pack from Michaels or the single ones from dollar tree. I can look in the morning and let you know what the pack says ☺️
what paper/ink you using b/c i did 2min & still comes out light & not dark like my paper & ink still on paper & i used 4dif paper vendors i have,, iused koala the green backing & they all look grey on the canvas & these are the 1 on the michaels...n also if you do laminate it sticks when you paint i have few i did like that, but i wanted to try w/o laminate
I use koala paper on this video. Make sure your heat press is hot enough and make sure you have enough pieces of cardboard underneath so you have enough pressure on the canvas.
Great video. Are those the Artist loft canvas from Michael’s? And what type of sub paper did you use? I tried it last night using artist loft canvases but it came out blurry. I’m going to try removing the mats and placing card board behind it.
Thank you ☺️ Yes, they are artist loft canvases and I used Koala sublimation paper. If it is blurry it could also mean the sub paper moved. Try taping to down as well.
@@shaypa7880 that is what I used. Maybe it is the pressure issue then if you shoot me a message I would be happy to hop on Zoom or something to help you sometime tomorrow☺️.
I used the same techniques but my canvas had these little brown spots everywhere. I think I used the wrong tape as well on my cardboard because it was stuck to the inside of my canvas.
Hey I love your video. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but when I go in2 pressing my image on the canvas it comes out with brown spots. Any suggestions?
thank you 😊. It could be from moister from the canvases or the cardboard you used in back. Or possibly your press being too hot. It is hard to tell without seeing the spots.
I have but the warping has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes it happens and other times it doesn’t. So I guess my answer is I don’t know 🤪😜☺️. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful🙃☺️
You would have to convert the printer for sublimation or buy a printer specifically for sublimation. Typically people use Epson printers for sublimation. So the short answer is if you haven’t converted it then it is not a sublimation printer. I know it can be very confusing but if you would like I can make a video on sublimation next week sometime ☺️
Yes, you need a new sublimation image each time☺️. For this type of image I just fit as many of them as I can on an 11x17 sheet which was like 5 for this image. Hope that helps! I would really appreciate it if you subscribe if you haven’t already ☺️
Hello, So I followed everything told me, but I just need to know what kind of masking tape did you use because I used the light masking tape and it look like it left a burnt mark on my heatpress. Nothing to bad, but is it common for that?
@@colorcreateandchat8445 😜. I get it now 😂. The cardboard goes under the canvas so it never touched my heat press directly. Are you talking about the bottom of the heat press? You could add a piece of butcher block paper if it is an issue. I just used regular old marking tape from the DT.
Where have you been all of my crafting life???????? Love this!!!

Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me what type of transfer paper do you use?
Thank you for this video. It was very helpful.
Is the black and white print out on sublimated printer or regular printer?
Helpful and to the point!! Love it. Thanks for sharing

Thank you so much for this simple video. I will start this today 🥰
What did you use to print your picture?

Are you saying that you can press one sheet 5-6x before needing to make another sheet?
No, one per print. I just copy the image several times on one page.
What type of paper you use to print picture and did you use a regular printer to print it
What kind of paper was your image on
Hello, Great video! Question what is a good paint to use?
super laterally but any kind of paint will work. I would suggest acrylic paint :)
Where u get the paper that the drawing is on ?
Thank you very much for sharing. I was wondering what type of paper are you using for the print to stick to the canvas?
How do you paint over the sublimation? is it just the lines that get transfer or the whole sheet?
Thank you!
do you have to a heat press or will an.iron work
Is the canvas covered in primer or totally blank/untreated? Will it work if you buy the ones with paint primer already on it?
I wouldn’t know the difference 🤣. I just buy the pack from Michaels or the single ones from dollar tree. I can look in the morning and let you know what the pack says ☺️
I’m convinced I can do it
Could I do it with a Cricut heat press?
How do you transfer the images from the cricket to the paper
Thank you so much
Does the canvas have to be coated with something?
Or do the prints come out ready to press?
No. As long as you use sublimation paper and ink you are good to go ☺️
Thank you , I really appreciate your video . Good explanation!
Does the printer only print for sublimation?
@@crocifissakristinagrillo5961 no, it is a regular printer converted with sublimation ink☺️

So do you have to create a heat transfer / vinyl print of your original.

A real plain small one. Nothing special about it. It is a little cheapy one from eBay ☺️
