    Don't get too discouraged. Win some, lose some. But you figured it out in the end and that's what matters! New tires probably wouldn't hurt, but I imagine they'll be fine for quite some time.

      Good, cuz they aren't really in the budget right now lol, I just love the way cars feel with new tires.

      @@FixLife119Bro, you and I both. Mine needs them currently, but I'm not ready for that expense. They definitely aren't bald yet, but worn for sure. Be safe, have fun!

      @@JosiahMcBeth At least the Sammy's don't weigh much on those tires. Thanks bro, take care!

    The tread life looks decent but you might need to have those tires re balanced at the very least, also check the bushings. If that Silicone doesn't hold up Harbour Freight has those nifty plastic welding kits.

      @FixLife119  8 месяцев назад +1

      They have some dry cracks but I wasn't too worried cuz this thing is so light but I'm sure it would ride way better with some nice new tires. Didn't think about the plastic welding tool. This is why I love the comments section!

    Flat cheap mud tires don’t drive very well on the street. All radial tires can get what is called ply separation. Cheap made tires can get t worse especially when driving off road a lot. It will cause a pull or drift to that side along with uneven wear. Usually I will swap it to the other front and see if the pull goes with it. If it does then I know for sure that tire will always remain a rear tire. But you have a matching spare you can throw on then make the bad one a spare. Also those big long lift shackles in the front will subtract from your caster angle which you really need all you can get with such a short car. Later on when you get to the suspension put a set of good quality lift springs like OME or BDS along with stock length shackles or even a shackle reverse kit for a really good ride.

      Wow, thanks for all the great info! Yeah those shackles in the front look goofy, my front leafs are basically flat. When I drive it, it kinda doesn't want to go straight, it either wants to go right or left, it's not bad now that I swapped the wheels, but I thought maybe that was from being toe'd out slightly, do you think it's because of the camber from those shackles? Thanks again!

      @offgridliving4128 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@FixLife119 yes the shackles are probably part of your problem along with flat worn out springs. Samurai caster angle is supposed to be 3.5 degrees. The longer the shackle the less the caster angle. You can correct it with shims between your axle and springs. 5 to 6 degrees would even be better. Also a tow in of the front tires of 1/8th inch will also help.

      @@offgridliving4128 OK, great info. I think I'm toe'd out about 1/8". I'll have to check a ninth time to verify lol. Hey thank you again!

      @@FixLife119 any tow out is going to have the tires fighting to get away from each other. So as you drive down the road and run over ruts and uneven pavement you will get that back and forth feeling. If they are towed in 1/8 to 1/4” they fight against each other to go strait down the road. Caster helps to return the vehicle to the center. Just like when you push a good shopping cart and let go. It will try to track strait. If you push one that has a wobbly wheel the caster angle has been bent out of alignment.

      @@offgridliving4128 Yup that's what it kinda feels like. Took it to emissions again today. When it was on the rollers the back was kinda hopping. One of the rears is out of round. Might put the spare on the front and put the front on the rear, and the egg shaped one will be the new spare lol. I gotta get the ass end up and see which one it is. I failed emissions again today, I don't get it. I was confident a new cat and muffler would help. Not sure if you saw that video but the muffler was blowing everything out rust holes in the front. I assumed the cat had busted up and clogged the muffler but when I replaced em they were basically fine. It doesn't smoke, doesn't smell rich, plugs look good, gonna check timing and stuff...
