      I didn't understand the clips that u were pushing in to the foam . What was the purpose of those clips. Did the replacement seat cover attach to those clips? I did not see how you connection if that was the case. BTW that particular video had bad sound. A lot of background noise. Sorry to say that. I love ur work.

    Great video! Since a lot of sportscars require removing the whole seat assembly due to hog rings in hard to reach areas, I normally have to disconnect the negative terminal on battery and then disconnect the air bag wires under the seat. This is the only way I can remove the whole seat assembly. Sportscars can be challenging...

    Rudolph, you have amazing talent and skill my friend! I've watched a couple of your videos so far and you're nothing short of just AWESOME brother!!! I have a 2000 F-350 with the bucket seats and it seems like in the last year and half they've started tearing at the seams and the leather is just flaking off but mostly it's my fault, I didn't take good care of them like I should have. I've been thinking of purchasing both seat and upright covers from The Seat Shop in Texas but they are very pricey. I would much rather pay you you to do it😄. I've been looking here in NC for an auto upholstery service and I'm going to check them out soon, I know I'll probably get "sticker shock" when they tell me how much both seats will cost, I'm sure. Anywho, I'll be watching your videos my friend and you take care and God Bless. Jay 👍👍

    Wow, the color match of those aftermarket seat covers looked great and the install was super clean.
    Odd question- with the customer going through the bother of getting seat bottoms, did they at least have you restore the worn upper seat back so that everything looked new again, or did they just leave it like that?

    I wanted to see how you take off the back side of the front seat specially taking it off at the top where the headrest guide are located and you did not co er that part. That’s the difficult part that you bypassed all together. You generally great about all kinds of repairs but unfortunately fell very short in this one. Thank you for all the good ones, though.

    • @oldschoolautoupholstery
      @oldschoolautoupholstery  5 месяцев назад

      Hello Offbeat, Thanks for the compliment? For the good ones anyway... You know this was a basic explanation that can apply to most if not all aftermarket seat covers. I try to make it general and not for any specific car unless it is for a specific car in a title. Sometime in general how to videos, I will say how I don't show how something comes apart because it wouldn't be fair to the viewer if it is not their car. It is better to search for a video that is car specific. Please keep liking and watching!

      Hello User, All cars are different. Really there are four methods of reattaching the listings. 1 most common among older vehicles is hog rings. 2 is velcro. 3 is plastic clips in modern vehicles. 4 is tying twine on after market cushions that are missing listing wires. • @oldschoolautoupholstery
      @oldschoolautoupholstery  Год назад +5

      Hello Phamine, usually, there will be 1/4" scrim or even 1/2" scrim sewn into aftermarket and most made seat covers. Adding more foam than that is totally up to you.
