When my grandparents emigrated to the USA from Armenia they had never seen a black person. Even the language did not have a word for black race. The only word they called blacks was Armenian word for dark due to darker skin. My grandfather and his sons hired blacks and they worked in segregated town in California. There was subtle racism from people but employees were backed 100% and people came to treat them on their character. We need to do the same in the present and non blacks need to judged on character as well. Works both ways.
I totally agree. So much attention is paid to skin color yet people's lives are never that simple. My paternal great grandparents emigrated from Armenia. On my mother's side they were Irish immigrants. Yet some bitter people would look at me and call me "white" as though that brought some massive family fortune and a life of luxury. I don't know too much about their lives but I have no doubt that things were difficult for all of them both before and after arriving here. I know they didn't quit and I'm certain didn't have a bunch of handouts since they didn't exist back then. Its popular these days to look for scapegoats to blame for life's troubles, but that is a trap. We're all in this together and playing the blame game never helped anyone.

It is not someone’s opinion. It is an overall look at what happened to cause a law to come into being and why it was needed going forward. CRT does target any racism or racist thought that was prominent at the time. For example, when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, the phrase, “all men are created equal” did not include what we see as all people today. Growing up I learned from my parents that hard work, education, being a good neighbor and a responsible citizen would allow me to emulate their success. So this is what kids of my generation, 50 now, did. I felt going to church, raising children as my parents raised me and giving to the community would give me peace when it's time to meet my maker. But I was wrong. For decades now, to avoid conflict, I capitulated, leaving decisions that really didn't affect me, to others, to remedy. Who wants to get into politics? Who cares what idiot is on the school board? Who cares about the District Attorney election? I watched this train wreck coming content that being a good citizen would keep my world on the tracks. You're right back in the 70's when I was in high school, I had friends of mixed race, neither side wanted them or accepted them. They had no idea what culture they fit into but they over came this and went on to college. I was raised in integrated schools and churches.
Which is why these sjw buys had to start accepting mixed people as "full black". Like the comment above stated mixed people weren't treated well in the 60s and 70s etc.. My father once told me he didn't want me to date a black girl, my mom thought it was racism but I later found out his reasoning was that he was raised seeing mixed children treated terribly and didn't feel like they belong anywhere. He said he wouldn't allow his grandson to be suscepted to that kind of cruel life. Many might still call that racism but I see it as genuine love of family. He was in his 70s when I was 20 so he had seen a thing or two.

Glad you asked my children are mixed race and love all of their family and is loved by all of their family. My kids are also smart enough to know the history of this country. My kids accept the love shown to them. Brave enough to recognize racism when it presents itself and always challenge it. Finally my kids are wise enough to recognize the difference between the two. My kids will tell you America is fundamentally racist. They see it first hand when some people look at them and assume their identity and feel comfortable enough to show their true feelings. Matt Gaetz, Josh Hawley, Marjorie Geeene, and Mitch McConnell just to name a few are great examples of what is fundamentally wrong with this country. I am glad to be in a country where someone like Liz Cheney can be a role model for truth and show by example what happens when a brave sole speaks truth to the corrupt power in her own political party. When my grandparents emigrated to the USA from Armenia they had never seen a black person. Even the language did not have a word for black race. The only word they called blacks was Armenian word for dark due to darker skin. My grandfather and his sons hired blacks and they worked in segregated town in California. There was subtle racism from people but employees were backed 100% and people came to treat them on their character. We need to do the same in the present and non blacks need to judged on character as well. Works both ways.
My grandparents who escaped the Soviet Union were the same way. My grandmother was loved by her black neighbors, because she treated them like humans.
I totally agree. So much attention is paid to skin color yet people's lives are never that simple. My paternal great grandparents emigrated from Armenia. On my mother's side they were Irish immigrants. Yet some bitter people would look at me and call me "white" as though that brought some massive family fortune and a life of luxury. I don't know too much about their lives but I have no doubt that things were difficult for all of them both before and after arriving here. I know they didn't quit and I'm certain didn't have a bunch of handouts since they didn't exist back then. Its popular these days to look for scapegoats to blame for life's troubles, but that is a trap. We're all in this together and playing the blame game never helped anyone.

It is not someone’s opinion. It is an overall look at what happened to cause a law to come into being and why it was needed going forward. CRT does target any racism or racist thought that was prominent at the time. For example, when Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence, the phrase, “all men are created equal” did not include what we see as all people today. This is evident in the letters and memos he wrote back and forth with the rest of the founding fathers.

Growing up I learned from my parents that hard work, education, being a good neighbor and a responsible citizen would allow me to emulate their success. So this is what kids of my generation, 50 now, did. I felt going to church, raising children as my parents raised me and giving to the community would give me peace when it's time to meet my maker. But I was wrong. For decades now, to avoid conflict, I capitulated, leaving decisions that really didn't affect me, to others, to remedy. Who wants to get into politics? Who cares what idiot is on the school board? Who cares about the District Attorney election? I watched this train wreck coming content that being a good citizen would keep my world on the tracks. But none of us can be silent anymore or the US will go the way of Cambodia after Pol Pot enforced the same ideology we hear in America now. You're right back in the 70's when I was in high school, I had friends of mixed race, neither side wanted them or accepted them. They had no idea what culture they fit into but they over came this and went on to college. I was raised in integrated schools and churches.

I literally thought I was black or at least partially until I was around eight because I had black hair. After all, "black" skin color isn't something I ever saw but I saw plenty of people who had black hair and brown eyes like I did and if the skin was lighter it just because I was the same color as Denise Cosby and they said she was black. Point is people aren't born racist. Some might even completely misunderstand what race is, like I did. It's a psychological phenomenon that's taught, when historical narratives interferes with two people communicating because of race. Just my opinion.
