    Thanks for this helpful video. Is it possible to do this with a box and whisker chart? There aren't any PowerBI default Box and Whisker visualisations which may make this a bit more tricky.

    Hi Alex. Very useful trick, Thanks. When I use you trick some of the dots are hidden behind other un-highlighted dots due to the density. Is there a way to bring these selected to the front or something?

      Hello Lars,
      Thank you for posting your query onto our channel. We really appreciate you taking your valuable time to post it and we're glad that you liked our content.
      Well, you can highlight the dominant dot with the very bright color and other dots with the very light color or you can only fill the dominant dot with the color and leave other dots with no fills but only outline.

      @@EnterpriseDNA To solve this I made the unfiltered dots transparent so the dots I wanted highlighted shone through. Its easy to do, use the rgba(x,y,z,a) in place of the colour code. rgba stands for Red, Green, Blue, Alpha. Alpha is the transparency, I have mine set to 0.15. Red, Green and Blue are integers which make up the colour code you originally input from this video.

    Could this be achieved with just one slicer (and amending the DAX)? I follow the DAX, but not what the second slicer is there for.

    • @EnterpriseDNA
      @EnterpriseDNA  4 года назад

      Hello Richard Oliver,
      thank you for posting your query onto our channel.
      Well no, this is not possible using one slicer and by modifying the DAX. The logic behind the use of two slicers is that, if selected value in the first slicer matches with the value of the newly created slicer than the color in the chart should be different for that selected value and the values which are not selected into the first slicer should portray the normal color into the chart.
      For furthermore queries, you can also reach out to our Community Forum where our members as well as experts team will be able to assist you in a better and efficient manner. Below is the link of the forum provided for the reference.
      Hoping this explanation helps you to clear the doubt that you've pertaining to the technique showcased into the video.
      Happy Learning!!!

    but this does not apply to category labels. when i am selecting a value from first slicer then chart is showing me labels for all values instead of showing label for only selected value. can you help?

    • @EnterpriseDNA
      @EnterpriseDNA  3 года назад

      Hello Sanket,
      Thank You for posting your query onto our channel.
      Well as showcased into the video that if you don't want the slicer affecting your visuals then in that case one can turn off the "Edit Interactions" option. In your case, you can activate the edit interactions option and once it's activated you'll observe that slicer will have an effect on the category labels as well and it'll show only those values that are selected into the slicer.

      Example 1:
      Item 0001 - Received
      Item 0002 - Received
      Item 0002 - Problem found after Received (LINE above)
      FPY = 50%
      On Google are Some examples like that, but I don't know how to do It. On RUclips there is no video explain FPY.
