I’m sure the American filter is heavier because it’s still has old
oil soaked in it. My new filter is also from China

Excellent video with such great care taken. I've learned enough from you to now service my own 2015 VFR800F. Much obliged. And yes... ACT weather does impact engine oil more so than the milder climates, although it seems you keep your bike under cover which is the best protection. 👍

The reason you could not get the fairing off is because there are a half dozen bolts and plastic clips holding it on. I had to buy replacement clips because they all broke when removing them. Makes changing the oil filter much easier though and give you a chance to properly clean the fairing both sides. ✌️

Isnt it better to put moto on side stand to take all oil out?

Not really, the drain plug is in the middle of the sump.

I'm guessing the old filter is heavier because it is soaked in oil 😅

If you realised how much stuff is made in China you wouldn’t get in your car and drive to the shops.
China has incredible manufacturing as of late. It’s the future. You can’t really escape it. Only our dads go on about China.
