what causes this?
I have the 2016 Aurion Sportivo and I am impressed with it's smoothness. Very economical too and best figures I have had are 7.2 /100kms.
Using air bags to fix a weak suspension can lead to bigger problems down the track in the middle of no where !
No way those have a limiter
typical made in australia quality.

I believe the sound comes from the pair valve air mixer.

Hold it halfway between drive and neutral and it will let you rev higher

Not really a noticeable amount, however fully loaded is much better.

Hey, this particular video was actually a 2019 Kluger. However yes I still have the 2016 Aurion! I will do a update soon. 👍🏼

My have the same model Aurion presara 2013 mines has none of these problems but maybe it’s because it’s from different years mines has 2 pouches though.
Yeah nice, yours is the pre-facelift. Mines the facelifted 2016. The face lift was mid 2015. They added standard LEDs to the front, different gauge cluster, rear lip spoiler, rear cross traffic alert and a update climate control. Also a physical button for traction control. Thats the main differences. I still absolutely love the prefacelift don’t get me wrong.

Oh 😂😂. Just sounded louder than what I anticipated ig. My granny also has a 2010 (I think) Toyota aurion atx. She’s got memory problems now so she doesn’t drive it anymore, my grandpa keeps it running for her

@@mrxss1yeah and my dad who has the very last aurion used to have a 2008 Toyota aurion atx. That one became really problematic as the shock absorbers got replaced and the engine had to have lots of work done to it. He got sick of it and then bought the 2017 Toyota aurion presara which runs extremely well nowadays still

Thanks! This was my old 2007 Presara. I sold it in 2018 and in 2019 purchased the one I have now.

How do you do the airbox mod ?
Basically you just switch the Vacuum line’s going into the intake flapper with the vacuum diaphragm.
Aurions are known for good BHP and better fuel economy than the camrys

Their batteries are bigger so they’re great. Especially my dad’s one. Usually he drives it most days for work, 20min trip from home, sometimes to go see clients. Once it sat for 3 weeks due to holiday and when we got home, it still started right up. Very surprising for a 6 year old battery
I think there is no need for 98 petrol. These things are designed for 91.

I've just fitted a black widow exhaust on mine. Immediately took the baffles out but the novelty wore off after my 1st ride. I fitted a new pipercross air filter and did the flapper mod at the same time. I dont know if doing those made it 10x worse but Holy sh1t it's too loud. Think I'm going to put the baffles back in as well, like you said tractorish sometimes and sometimes sounds sweet. But need to do something cos it's deafing!
Yeah it’s pretty full on with the noise! I ended up putting the baffles back in, now I’m happy with it!
@mrxss1 just put them back in today. Sooo much better. There was a certain drone in the rpm with the baffles out that just went right through me. Just takes that edge off with them back in, still pops and bangs on deceleration. Just doesn't have that deep burble on tick over with them back in but miles better.

It’s really annoying not having a proper rev-counter on this car! They could have given us the option for a little digital one, in the display between the two analogue dials!? 🤷🏻♂️ I’d really like to know what my engine revs are doing at the ‘mid eco’ and ‘top eco’ point, and also the 3/4 point on the dial where it says ‘power’…(?)
Yeah I totally agree! It wouldn’t have been hard to add it from factory!
Or like toyota did with the Scion xD, put the rev needle under the unused area of the MPH!!!

25NM I believe for the filter housing and a solid yank with my right arm for the oil nut on the sump! I will check the exact specs when I grab a chance👍🏼

It was a work car so it stayed stock unfortunately!
She's a beauty.... I couldn't find a white and black model and ended up with a Candy Cherry Red version 2006. Love it.
