I’m so glad I watched this...my baby isn’t the only one that eats like you never feed them 🤣 and she made up her own sign for food, she slaps whatever surface and makes direct eye contact...it’s very intimidating 🙈
Thank you! I’m a ftm and it’s so difficult trying to figure all this out especially timing with baby! I’ve been scared of my baby choking but I’m sick of the store bought purees and after the whole Similac recall(we had cans from the bad lot) I’ve been more on edge with what I’m getting from the store
So glad I came across this!!! I have an 8 month old and I’m ready to start LED weaning :) he’s tried several foods but I’m so scared he will choke so I give it to him in teeny bites
@@joanbond9990 it’s good to cut certain things a special way to preventing choking risks. So smashing or quartering berries is common, and cutting foods into finger length thin pieces is good practice too- but as she said his pincher grasp is really good so she cuts them into small pieces
Love your video and the healthy foods you give to your baby. I wish I found your channel sooner. My baby is 15 months and very picky. I regret that I didn’t give him healthy solid foods earlier, I was too scared that he would choke, now it’s so hard to make him eat fruit and vegetables and other food, I still hope and pray that I can make him eat healthy like your baby. Keep healthy food ideas coming. God bless your channel. ❤️
I’m so relieved to hear that your son was breastfeeding 6-8 times per day even on solids. I always thought my almost 8 month old daughter hasn’t eaten enough for solid (just few bites each time), and my milk does not flow much for her. Thanks for the video!
Thanks so much for the video! Your family is so cute. Blessed to have come across this video and thanks for sharing the verse at the end. So sweet ❤️ prayers for my family and in laws to be saved
Best BLW video I've seen. I have an 8 month old boy too. Baby is adorable. Food is healthy and delicious and you and daddy are so cute together. Such a beautiful family
A little tip for cutting zucchini: Cut in half lengthwise then cut normally. All your pieces will already be cut in half so you won’t have to go back and cut all the pieces again. Saves time and it’s just easier.
Hey there, I’m so jealous of how well your little one eats! I can’t seem to get my 8 month old to be interested in food. She will look at it, touch it, but she acts like she hates her fingers getting messy! Do you have any tips? Thanks for sharing! I know I’m delayed on commenting as this was posted awhile ago.
My daughter is the same! She loves when I spoon feed her but hates when I put food infront of her. She will pick it up but she won't put it in her mouth.
He really goes for it! So cute! My daughter is ten months & we've been doing baby led weaning but she still isn't super interested in solids. She's still pretty into mama's milk. Haha That's okay, though. I'll just let her lead the way. We're not to far from you, we live in Connell, WA. ❤
I actually don’t know why 90 people have put their thumbs down to this video 😕. I think this is a fab video!!!! I love the bit where he throws his spoon 🤣🤣 erm I don’t need this!! I have my fingers mommy! 😝
I agree with the oat meal. Both my kids love it and you really can jam whatever! Well do apples, blue berries, banana, whatever we have. I blitz some walnuts in my coffee grinder, and add hemp n chia, cinnamon, etc The possibilities are endless and it keeps them full long
Wow i enjoyed watching him eat the food. My baby makes a mess with food and rarely puts it in his mouth . He'd just squash it with his hands and start to play with it. He's 8months old too
I love this video so so much ...I took a pen and paper and write down all the food you gave him and pray my baby also loves them I love the way your son eats its so adorable.
Seriously the cutest video ever! The baby eating and the dog always there for the droppings. Too cute! I have a 8 month old and am doing some led weaning but im trying to do better. Great video
I started baby led weaning with my baby at 6.5 months. The first few weeks were rough. She did not ever choke, but she would often gag until she threw up. (It's important to learn to recognize the difference.) The pediatrician recommended giving her peanut butter so she learns how to manipulate food in her mouth, and swallow efficiently. Within a week or so, she was eating solids without gagging as much, and no throwing up at all. At 7.5 months, she is eating like the baby in this video.
Wow! My boy just turned 8 months old and what he does is just picks up chunks of food, bites them or chews on them and then spits out bigger pieces, I have no idea how much of what I give him actually ends up eaten 😂 I love how your son actually puts a handful of food into his mouth. Mine never puts his hands into his mouth, i think he treats food like a different type of teethers and wants milk afterwards anyway 🙄
I'm glad I watched this video as my baby just turned 8months today, am excited at the idea I just got on what to do. However, if you don't mind me asking, am interested in the "Baby-led weaning" stuff, I'd love to attend the class also if you don't mind sharing the link with me. Thank you and God bless 🙏
Mine and my babies favorite food rice and avocados ❤️ just found your channel my baby boy is 8 months and been wanting to incorporate more solids thank you 😊
Seeing your baby eat was amazing thank you for the video just one question do you use salt , pepper seating on the food that you give him ? Cuz I try some food with my baby but she doesn’t like it cuz there is no flavour on it , and I was recommended not to use much seasing specially salt
Him just eating and enjoying every bit of it is making me smile and laugh. So adorable. I'm excited to make baby food for my son. Ahhhhh & im a ftm. This video was awesome. Thank you!!
I heard to prevent allergies you should be giving baby all foods during the first year except of course added sugar, salt and honey. How did you start peanut butter? My son is 6 months almost 7 and so far he has only had veggies, fruits and meat. I'm so scared introducing high allergenic foods.
Hi I just saw your comment, hope you don’t mind me hopping on. But I just smeared some peanut butter on toast! You could also pop some on a pancake or even a little in to porridge xx
Hi. I totally loved the video. Watches with my eight months old and he loved it too. Do you use footrest? Also when do you give milk feeds? Is it before the food or after and how much gap do you keep between? Please let me know, right now I am struggling to feed solids to my baby.
Yes my girls drink 1 hour after waking up and then its recommended to eat solid after 1 hour of milk about 5 oz and by the time they will eat solids its time for their nap and they scream to their lungs for milk to fill themselves (later 3-4oz). That comes down to about 8-9 oz of milk every 3-4 hours, no room for solids!! Its so hard for me to figure this schedule too. Please let us know!
Any suggestions on the messy aftermath? Do you clean him there or in the bath? My daughter is nine months and hates being wiped down! Thank you for sharing.
I would love to try your coconut curry to my soon to be 8 months old baby. Please share the recipe. Love your videos and seeing him eat is sooo darn cute soo adorable. I am still feeding pure to 7 and half months old, so nervous and scared to try solid cause of chock!
oatmeal seems so fun, my daughter is allergic to it!!!! it’s in so many blw recipes too. anyone have a suggestion for an alternative? we tried rice cereal but the solid starts app says that’s not the healthiest for babies
i’m curious to know about the pancake mix with the salt and sugar content? I really want to give my baby pancake mix instead of from scratch cause it never turns out good !!!
😭how are you not scareddd? I still feed my 8 month old purée only because 1. I’m scared he’ll choke. And 2. When he feels any solid texture he gags so I don’t really know what to do lol
So cute .my baby is 9 month ..i am also following BLW,however he is not showing interest in food for the past few days(believe due to teething). Any suggestions ?
Did he have teeth yet in this video? My daughter is 7 months and Im alil hesitant for bigger pieces. Like im cutting every thing up so tiny she can barely pick it up. Lol it almost defeats the purpose
Nope. Kids don’t get their back/chewing molars until 3 years old! If we fed them based off of their teeth, kids wouldn’t have solids until 3. Crazy thing I learned during BLW courses.
I’m so glad I watched this...my baby isn’t the only one that eats like you never feed them 🤣 and she made up her own sign for food, she slaps whatever surface and makes direct eye contact...it’s very intimidating 🙈

Thank you for being so honest about the meals In a day. I have watched videos that made me feel bad. I appreciate the safe space! Beautiful!
Honestly, he is so adorable. ❤ I'm going to try to incorporate some of these ideas for my 8 month old. Thank you!
So glad I came across this!!! I have an 8 month old and I’m ready to start LED weaning :) he’s tried several foods but I’m so scared he will choke so I give it to him in teeny bites
Seeing him eat is the cutest thing ever he went right for it !!!!!!!🍓✨🌟
Right?! I good sit here all day and watch home eat!
Royal cuteness. Wow
I love to see how well he eats and he truly enjoys it........good healthy food from mom an dad. Yeah!! 🍓🥑🥄🥧😋
It would be easier to leave berries whole
Why not leave carrots whole the he can hold them to eat

Super cute and great ideas on foods thanks, I can’t deal with the dog licking though. 🥴

He’s still so tiny, only 14 pounds so not quite yet!!

I loved the dog cleaning baby’s legs
Omg I love watching him eating 😍 i am about to do this to my picky baby boy
He is sooooo cute! 🥰 I swear I heard him say “mmm”! after he put the food in his mouth haha

So cute! Drop that curry recipe 😂💗✨
@Aidan and Kurin
Seriously please drop the recipe
Was there shredded chicken on it or was it coconut?

The dogs are waiting for the baby to drop some food haha
Omg I love watching him eat . My baby is turning 8 months tomorrow so I'm trying to get ideas for to get her off the purées

Grind chia seeds and use in powdered form bcoz they digest easily when grinded

The face he made when he had curry was so cute! Made me want some. Lol
My 8 month old would have given 98% of that to the dog haha. He throws everything on the floor and none in his mouth
Lol he just stuffs his face😍 so adorable 🥺🥺

My dog cleans up the ground! Israel hates being wiped down too. If he has red sauce I give him a bath but other than that I just wipe him!
This is awesome!
My baby is 8 months and all i feed him is pure , how do you get over the scary fact they may chock !! So nervous to try solids ! Xx
I took the BLW course by feeding littles. It teaches you everything you need to know!
@@kurinadele that's great ill look into it ! He's so cute also !! 😍

Christina Gray could always try out purées and then gradually make them more textured and work your way up to very soft vegetables.
Mel Middleton. I started my daughter on purées and ver very soft boiled vegetables that were basically mush, small portions and always observe.

the dog eating food from his legs😂 so funny

he's such a good eater
Hai mam.. Please guide me.. How an 8 mnth baby eats by his own.. My baby is 10 month.. He doesn't eat at this consistency.. How did you taught him

Small bites!!
Omg cute baby my baby also 8 month old doesn’t eat food him self alone☹️how can I teach him
My 7mo blw baby is still in the taste and spit phase. Very little swallowing and most of the food ends up in her silicone pouch lol

I always have him play! Sometimes I give a snack!
Hi 👋🏽 can you please tell me what high chair that is and is that a rubber placemat that’s removable on the tray?
What was the curry/broth you pour over his rice and veggies?

You can start with Puree then mash and then move to finger foods
Omg you do aMazing honestly
Idk who liked the curry more the baby or her husband 😂
Does your baby also put food his eyes btw???😄
