I suddenly feel like Miatas are getting overrated (IN MY OPINION), but id say they are underrated-fairly rated (the jetta is underrated)
They absolutely are because of tiktok. And they overpriced sh*tboxes now

All JDM cars are overrated and some are overpriced
I wouldn’t say “overrated” but I would definitely say becoming more popular instead. Popularity = Car prices going higher. There really isn’t anything much to “overly-rate” the Miata besides its some tuning possibilities. It’s not the fastest car, nor the most comfortable. The handling is not great either as in its stock form.
Any japanese car meet i go to, at least 1/3 of the cars there are mx5. Because they are cheap, the market for parts is big, and thats all because alot where made. Also they are reliable and i can litterly go outside and see a hundred parked and driving.

Honestly, I love how you always start your videos in a weird place that reminds me of that one friends house 7 years ago. Other than that, the Nissan 300 ZX is calling my name, yet I'm having a lot of issues with the price. I wonder if I could ever find one under 6-7k? My first car is an e46 325i, it’s not super fast by any means but its really peppy especially in low rpms, it’s a lot of fun on corners and has a ton of aftermarket support. The biggest pro is probably how easy it is to work on

Glad you included the Lexus gs. The gs400s are underrated and pretty fast for a 90s Luxury boat. Think they have a 5.7sec zero to sixty

@@eightbll1017 unfortunately true with a lot of the old 90s lexus. People finally starting to recognize their potential. Definitely can still find some good deals tho. Crazy how much the ls400 has risen in price tho

Depends on the year yes the Ranger can come with the 4.0 cologne V6, but it can also come with the 3.0 Duratec V6 a 2.8 L V6 2.3 4 cylinder or a 5 L V8 and I think they got rid of the 2.8 in 1985

Hey Mark! if im looking to buy a first car, whether its one on your helpful lists or not, what mileage should I be looking for? at this price range im finding vehicles between 200-400 thousand kilometres on them. whats too much?
personally the closer to 100k the better, I was able to scoop up a 05 g35 auto for 2900 with 138k miles and a clean title
I dig your content, but the only issue I have is when you consider car under 500 plus horse power fast,that's my only issue.

Top pick is Acura TL. Called it! I expect you could find a decent Toyota Solara under 4k too, but it would have to be the base model coupe or a really leaky convertible. All the cars under 4k will have lots of problems. As far as I know, given it retailed for 30k and is a Toyota, the SLE V6 2nd gen convertible is probably worth between 6k with more than 150,000 mi to 10k with less than 75,000 miles, or am I overestimating it's value?

Stand up? Good idea! Mark, you have converted me to liking a couple BMWs over a year and a half, and I hope you take pride in this, as I used to be prejudice against all of them. I now realize there are much worse cars on the road, like Audis, Land Rovers, Mazaraties, Mercedes, Fiats, Minis, and Jaguars. It may take a couple more years of conversion for me to like these, but I don't think it will work because aside from the Land Rovers these things look kinda lame or even ugly unless they're, like, fully built.
BMWs can look pretty ugly or plain too in base spec, but at least a fair number of them still look ok.

Miatas are not overrated, i think people just found out they exist because of Instagram, tiktok etc. They are still amazing cars, very unique and fun to drive. BUT I have to say that because of all this hype from social media, their price has gone up so much its stupid. :(

For a first time driver it can lead to oversteer and they won’t know how to correct it very well. It’s why we see all the Mustang crowd videos. Young ppl+power to the rear wheels= never a good combo
