She has long hair” I countered with “Faith has short hair & she’s a girl” I could see the brain cogs working, then they said “oh, ok” and never mentioned it again. I thank the mother of that little girl with the pixie cut every time I tell this story. (Names are not even close to the children’s real names for their privacy).
