It comes down to flip, if he plays like a 7 footer and is agressive, duke wins. If flip comes out shooting threes and passive downlow not matching their bigs, duke loses. Only thing that impacts otherwise is our guards continuing to play at their ceiling, they havent been able to consistently play at a high level together all season. So defense needs to stay at a high level, flip must dominate on offense and not get into foul trouble.
Seriously, you're going to compare Houston's defense to James Madison and Vermont? Go back and listen to what the Big 12 coaches have to say about Houston. BYU shot a lot of 3 ptrs in both match ups. How'd that worked out? This game will be decided by the refs. If they call 45 fouls like A&M Houston will lose. 4 starters fouled out. If they let them play Houston has a chance.
Brother I was comparing narratives of JMU being the more physical team compared to Duke and Duke having to now step up and play the most physical team in CBB. And if Duke can beat Houston then Duke’s narrative will change that they are indeed tough. I wasn’t saying JMU and Houston are similar. Houston is the standard
@@majiick8ballno, the whistle happy refs forced Houston to severely lower the intensity on defense. Also Houston had 4 starters foul out and the 5 one had 4 fouls.
@@snuklens the ncaa tourney has been the same for years, best refs from all conferences, each conference play a diff type of ball, they try to get everyone on same page but you can't change how refs see the game. Some are use to higher caliber competition some are not, either way it don't matter good teams adjust... period. Houston did and won.

Not to mention alot of that a&m comeback was because they lacked focus on defense.

well the refs let them play. so houston fans can't blame the refs. but they will always blame something.
