- Join us for a special road trip edition of Mondays with Mike! We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to hand deliver Tony Grey's new Signature Monarch 6 Elite Headless to him personally at his home studio! In Mike Bendy's Tesla of course!
He has an amazing setup and his Aguilar rig along with Auralex treatment has the bass sounding so tasty!
Stay tuned for the journey, conversations about bass, and his reaction!
For more information about this new model, click here: www.fodera.com...
Born in Newcastle England in 1975, Tony Grey has one of the most singular and dynamic voices on the bass guitar today. Having played bass with an incredibly varied and talented group of people including the pop group Bliss, John Mclaughlin, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Mike Stern, Wayne Krantz and Hiromi (to name just a few), Tony is also a talented composer and multi-instrumentalist that has recorded three solo albums since 2004.
Mike Bendy is a Fodera artist and the director of sales at Fodera. He is an incredibly talented bassist whose technique and feel are both mesmerizing and imaginative. Check out his bands Hipster Assassins and Dear Moon.

Congrats to Tony for his new signature! I don't know what I like more, the bass or that amazing studio setup. BEAUTIFUL!
Facts!!!
I played this bass earlier. What and amazing instrument! The wood, the neck. You can just feel the notes vibrate into the body. Just a work of art!
That is absolutely beautiful 😍 !!! Want!!!!!!
I’m glad I’m not the only one that talks to my basses and tells them not to be jealous when I bring a new one home
Wawo congs to tony grey indeed and great thanks to fodero
Brilliant Customer service by Fodera, much like Status Graphite. Very hands on 👌🏿
Love the license plate.
Love the bass but not the 16.5mm. To each their own but I do like 18mm STS spacing. Either way I stil hope someday to own a Jackson signature 6.
You can get that 18mm in a headless with Fodera. All you have to do is specify.
All this time i thought Tony was Canadian....This is AWESOME! Gorgeous Signature Bass. Tony is AMAZING.
Great video! I did the same to Les Paul in the 1980s. My company did the New York metro-area distribution for Fender Guitars ex: Brea, CA. I personally delivered his guitar to his Mahwah, NJ home, high on a hill in a private community off Route 202. I got to see his recording studio and all his gadgets.
Now that is service with a smile. Is the hand delivery going to be an option for all custom made basses :)
Come for the bass, stay for the tesla
same, bro ;D But both are amazing
An incredible bass. Love my Fodera bass. The tone and versatility is unmatched.........I would love to get my hands on one of these
TONY GREY IS AMAZING! Love that guy’s music!! c:
Wow that is an incredible instrument! It sounds so HUGE. This is making me want my next 6 string Fodera I've been thinking about even more! Great video and update from you guys as always!
Great sound as always! Tony Grey is the one of the most spiritual bassists in the world. Not only bassists but musicians ofcourse.
Simply awesome....😍
Congrats Tony. Thanks for showing it to me at Artlore.
Awesome story, so happy for you Tony!
Great and classy video. Beautiful bass🥂
Beautiful bass! Congrats, Tony!
I dig it! But, let’s please give Ned Steinberger his props! We might not have the headless bass without Ned! 🙏
Beautifull instruments! I wonder where the truss rod adjustment is located on these mini basses.
Beautiful bass
Congrats Tony! Amazing looking and sounding bass!
Nice Tesla and even better license plates😉
Congretulation,Tony!!!
10k plus for a bass and not even a hardshell case lol
Just under 14k on this if I’m not mistaken. Hardshell cases are vastly overrated; they’re bulky and heavy. I think the point in this case was extreme ease in carrying.
Tony, great to hear of all the things you're up to. Can't wait to hear about academy updates and books. Hope to see you in concert with Bob James someday soon. Awesome bass, play it in great health. TS
Love the bass especially headless stuff
Awww I bet that is such a happy feeling!!!!
He’s releasing an album with Mike Stern?! Oof, I’m hype.
11:39 high quality Demo.
Congrats 🎉
Yes! ❤️❤️❤️
That was fun to watch. Looks like a great bass. Enjoy!
I totally forgot the Tesla drives itself lmao now that’s cool!!!
Mono cases are amazing !! And the straps!! I have a double bass mono and best purchase I could have got for me basses
Tony you deserve it!! Way to go!!
I love that mini. I want it, I need it.
Fodera Mini is the most beautiful bass in the world.
Love this, you, + your Chi Flo jacket!! So awesome.
awesome bass
love the americanised geordie accent
I love Tony’s playing and the new Fodera it’s 😻 amazing. Congrats Tony. I wonder what kind of cool sunglasses is wearing Mike, that came with the Tesla? Jajaja cheers guys!
Fantastic! Love mike and dk ftw 🙌!!!!
Dude I’m loving the shirt Mike is wearing, are those still available?
Beautiful instrument. But I'm scared of playing that in Portugal (name means something funny)
Where can buy this bass strap please??
Studio looks amazing
Beautiful👏🎸🇯🇵
I wish he was still playing with Hiromi. They sounded so good together.
Amazing bass guitar and amazing bass player.
Congrats I’m enjoying my new Fodera Imperial Elite 6 string
How does a Brit, who went to Berklee (one of my class mates), started his career in NYC, end up in western PA in the woods? Inquiring minds want to know.
😂you would have to ask him!
I live a great life in the woods out here in beautiful western PA. It's stunning out here
We are so glad he ended up here.
@@tonygrey7557 Tony.. you don't remember me, but we were at Berklee together. We used to pass each other coming in and out of Bruce Gertz's office for lessons, among other places. Great to see you've had such fantastic success in music. I still play quite a bit, in Rochester NY, but my life took a radically different path after Berklee (wife, family/kids, houses, day gig), etc. I wish you continued success! PS I play Fodera basses too... :), the best!
@@davidpinto2197 oh bro yes. Rochester isn't too far. Let's jam some day man
whats the string spacing at bridge for that bass ?

Tesla and Fodera make bass player more elegant thank Mike!
🔥🔥🔥🔥💕💕💕💕
Should I even ask what a bass like that costs?
Woow 🥰
Amazing
Oof! Lovely
For that much money you better hand deliver it....
☯️ W O W ☯️
😵😵😵😵😵😵😵
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Bel nome per un brand ... sicuramente strumenti che mancano di contenuto :-)
Come fatta una custodia per una Fodera ? :-)
Love this but that constant noodling in the back ground is so annoying and distracting

Guys, when I watch is a celebrity playing Fodera bass, I feel so bad in my stomach. And when I look at my Ibanez SR 605 I feel not wanting to play again ... this is me mutwkil Ahmed bass player from Sudan. Africa
Brother, it's just wood and metal. The essence of everything comes from within you ✌🏽
Interview guy, try to be a little less of a dweeb. Cool bass.
Tesla meh….Rimac would be cooler.🤙
dislike for gay tesla
Question. Did this guy pay full $ for the bass? Or is this just another artist bullshit endorsement?
All Fodera customers (artists included) pay for their instruments
@@bassfunkypenguin Are you the owner or CEO of Fodera?
@@jazzman1954 No :) the partners that DO own Fodera have gone on record about this multiple times.
@@bassfunkypenguin If that’s true then good for them. It would be nice if they confirmed that on this video. I’m a cynic. Deals are done behind closed doors. Business is business.
