I was third girl of five and one boy. I was Daddy’s little Tomboy riding in his truck with my bib jeans and plaid shirt, standing next to him on the seat. I just knew I could be a boy! Five years later along came my brother and two sisters.
Daddy taught us so much…changing a tire and the oil in our vehicles, etc. So many life lessons. Thinking a boy would never come, I was named after him.

Watching this episode brought tears to my eyes. I lost my dad 15 yrs ago. He didn't have any sons, so I filled that role as best I could for him growing up because he was always working on projects around the homestead. And when he needed needed help, he would say, "Get your boots on, grab your gloves, and meet me outside. " I would give anything to have that time with him again. Chad, you don't know how precious these moments you're making are, and will be in the future. But your pop looks so good that it's hard to believe he's a grandpa. So I'm sure you'll have a long lifetime of memories to make. Just cherish them all. And the potbellied is cute as ever. ❤

I swear I have never heard a goat make the noise Bruce does. He sounds like he needs a cough drop or something. Watching your dad walk around your land & showing the views, I finally see how there are the higher places & lower places. The views were absolutely gorgeous. I know how you enjoy sitting outside at night, as we used to sit on our back deck & listen to all of the sounds & looking at the stars. I was so surprised to see how many stars are in the sky at night! You surely have a beautiful place.
