Peter, you have the best-looking swing on RUclips. I fully enjoy your instructional videos, and I am trying to copy your swing at the present time. I hope I get the hang of it soon.
Mick, you need to get your boy on his bicycle because that vest is fitting REAL tight. Now that's out of the way, I'm going to go read some of THE Peter Finch's book: SwingQuest. Love you guys. #questfortheopen
Great video! As a new golfer, I was a victim of the too quick hip spin problem a lot due to hearing the idea of leading with the hips. This is a great framework for striking the ball better.
Love the swing quest videos Pete, great stuff. I was wondering if you could make a video explaining the differences/similarities between the swing you make when using different clubs (i.e. irons vs. Fairways vs. Driver). Obviously setup is different for each, and low point slightly changes, but for some reason when I switch between clubs, I feel like my swing totally changes. Maybe I'm not the only one with that issue. Anyway, thought that would be a good idea for a video maybe 😂. Awesome content, keep it up, thanks!
Thanks Pete, Love these short videos that are easy to understand and follow. I tend to lose concentration on the longer instruction videos, but these are perfect 👍
Peter - I love this video. You have the best explanations for complex motions to make it understandable to the regular golfer. I appreciate your hard work!
This video is perfect timing for me - I have an issue of firing my hips and my right hip gets in front of my hand path and I flip the hands and stand up out of it as I’m stuck. I need to get the hands down and rotate after so my right hip stays back and out of my hands way until they’ve come down first, no flip and can get that compression!!
Peter - nice playing last night in the Good Good Desert Open and also a pleasure meeting you on the range at The Farms this past weekend. My dad was the pro out there for 25+ years and recently retired. I was in the group in front of you and saw somebody very tight on # 14 (Par 3 with waterfall)… I hope that was you!
So when you start the downswing the head will drop 2-3 inches at the start of the downswing and thru impact the head will rise back to the address position.. ? Or not?
Thanks Pete.i struggle when I focus on the shoulder turn. I tend to get a little too quick on the downswing and come over the top. I've seen considerable improvements by concentrating on my hip turn in the back swing to get me in the best position at the top. My miss from there tends to be the result of firing those hips too soon. Any thoughts on how to best get to that "cover" position at contact?
For me what helped most was keeping my head as perfectly still through the swing as possible. Imagine those videos of people holding a bird and moving the body around while the head remains completely stationary. That (and keeping my head there after impact) is my current swing thought and it has helped immensely.
I think if you keep swinging with such great tempo this season, you're bound to win a few comps, my friend! Looking so good! 👌

Great tip, Peter! Can't wait to try out this tip + drill. When I happen to come over the top, it's almost always because of firing my hips to soon.
Love the instruction videos you break it down so anyone can understand and improve their swing keep them coming

Love the Dondonald gear, great course. Excellent video Peter!

Very useful breakdown of the swing , thanks !
Fantastic video. Don’t give up on this channel!
Loving the tips Pete but what’s happened to the longer form videos for the swingquest channel you previously discussed in the podcast?
Thanks Peter, you are a legend.
Thanks Pete,

You're a legend Pete! 🙏
Great stuff, I've been working on this and will be using that drill. Thanks Pete!

You make it look so easy Pete 👍.
Well done Pete 👏 😊

He ain't gonna shag you mate
Great explanation!
Thank you for explaining the sequence behind the downswing, like even potato can understand this.
Thanks Pete
Squash the fruit I love that 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Very helpful video.

I need this setup at home

Our course is under water at the moment so hunting for other courses to play
Need a direct follow up to this, Peter. Probably one of the best explanations I've seen on YT.
For me the most important thing is like you said squash the peach, getting to my left side. Once I do that, everything else falls into place.
@1:01 That back crack heh
How does this translate to the driver swing? Same idea or is it different because you want to be hitting up on the ball?
Still have a buttery swing. Need a in person lesson or two lol
Anybody knows what Kind of Putting Green that is surrounding the hitting mat? Thanks!
Are your arms active? My teaching pro has me turning my arms off at P2, then just turn the body, I learn to use my hands
You make it look so damn easy haha
Magic
ELLO PEETAH FUNCH
If i do this drill. Its a promise that i have your smooth swing? 😂
Nah, I prefer monte scheinblums cast the club to 8 o clock from top of backswing, much easier and less to think about
