Love the content! A review on Loras of the Weaver's Mask: he is a hig mage within the Circle of Gold (the gang is the Ring of Brass) and an underling-apprentice of Eldamir the Wise. Early on, he and Patia have had beef and showed animosity towards each other. (Also: Loras also requested Patia to "deliver information directly to him" about the collected artifacts of Vespin Chloras in Vasselheim, the ones that Cerrit (Travis) was privy to. Basically, Loras is a "higher ranking mage" in status as being the apprentice of one of the Septarion, and uses his status to do shit.)
slowly catching up! 😄 the one thing i haven't seen anyone mention yet is that lacrytia wasn't trying to disguise the poison - i think you might have gotten confused by the name of the medicine check, but those are more about things affecting the body in general (i.e. diagnosing someone, figuring out the best way to heal (or hurt) someone, etc). the note is basically telling patia "the age of arcanum is going to end soon, drink this for a painless death once it starts" 😬
11:25 Telepathic bond is is a 5th level spell, which some spellcasters can access around 10th character level. But the spell has a "ritual tag" which allows certain spell classes to cast the spell for free over the course of ten minutes. Now ur one step closer to learning enough to play d&d urself lol 😂🎉❤
Love the content! You may have fallen prey to one of Sam's jokes, he flippantly said "Arboreal Cortex" just to annoy Abria (sorry if misspelling) it is called the "Arboreal Caelix" just wanted to be sure you weren't confused later. Love the reaction!
Joe, I just wanted to say how much I’m enjoying your watch along! EXU Calamity is my favorite and none of my friends would watch it. Sharing this mysterious journey with reactors like you brings me joy! Thanks for all your thoughts and theories - it’s so fun watching you engage and unravel the mystery with us along for the ride.
insane and also extremely bold of a necromancer (Lacrytia Hollow) to try to assassinate the Matron of Raven's champion after inviting him JUST TO MOCK HIM. reminder that the Matron as her godly domain is Death and Fate HATES necromancy, Necromancy revives a soul in a unnatural way. "everything has an end" necromancy ignores death and some times when a Necromancer like Lacrytia is too bold as the mages of the age of arcanum often were, they can prolong their life in a way that defies fate and the natural life cycle that leads to death.
I love watching your reactions to this. I wanted to re-watch calamity but had so many new things to watch I have not done so yet. Watching it again along with you is so much fun! Your excitement and theories are truly additive and it is great to listen to. Keep it up!
telepathic bond isn't a cantrip. It's like 4th or 5th level. Some spells have a ritual cast property. Some spells take an action (usable in combat) some take a minute, 10 minutes or even an hour to cast. If it is a ritual spell, you can spend 10 extra minutes to cast it for free by performing a ritual.
@DiggityBippityTV Most casting classes get to cast ritual spells that they know, but you can also take the ritual caster feat if you want to cast ritual spells outside of your class' spell list. Or, in general. A fighter can take the ritual caster feat to get some basic low-level utility spells, but it's just generally more useful on characters that can already cast.
Oh my gosh! Thanks for the shout out on my comment! To be fair to Zerxes out of everyone he is not very pompous or arrogant. BUT some fascinating cracks pop up when you are paying close attention to his opinions and beliefs. Especially when you watch how he behaves based on those opinions and beliefs. Major facets of his character sneak up on you real quick- blink and you'll miss it!
"Not very arrogant"? Zerxus tried to redeem a Betrayer God _after_ the Dawnfather specifically told him dude was beyond redemption. He's just as full of hubris as the rest and he got punished for it, some might say worse than the others in the Ring of Brass.
Normally, invisibility fades whenever a cloaked person takes an action. This can include casting a spell, or making an attack. Greater invisibility, which is a higher level spell, lets you do whatever you want while invisible. But the 2nd level invisibility spell fades pretty easily.
Vespin was an Archmage, reminder all Wizards attend a literal school and learn like students do irl, there are students, mages, and ARCHMAGES. Wizards and other spellcasters (bards, sorcerers, artificers) are more akin to the real world counterpart of Philosophers, Mathematicians, Engineers, Researchers, and Scientists of the past and even now. I'll name a few famous names that could impose a point of comparison on why Archmage Vespin Chloras was so renown to point of being given an interview by the Herald's Tome on the topic of the Matron of Raven's ascension: Albert Einstein, Plato, Aristotle, Galileo Galilei. Being an ArchMage is a BIG THING to a Society of Arcane Magic Wielders that values Power and achieving the impossible.
@@DiggityBippityDnD also thank you for the shout out to my comment in your history of exandria vid, i tried to post a comment on that vid and they just didnt post no matter how many attempts i made unless it was response to another comment :(

To the thing about pronunciation, yeah you’ve been pronouncing exandria wrong 😅. It’s a short a not a long one.
