That's bc you're not teaching your 5 year old to throw things away.

@@kaedre1211Exactly, many parents I see often complain “he doesn’t do what i ask.. it’s impossible” when really they just don’t want to put in the long term effort.
You as an adult can barely change your habits in one day - so why do we expect a child to be able to? It requires a consistent repetition of this behavior or change to make any difference. The child may complain, cry, beg or even throw tantrums when asked to change a behavior - but this doesn’t mean you give into their demands. You are the parent, you are responsible for teaching them the skills they will need to not just survive- but to thrive as an adult. Don’t confuse “hard” with “impossible”.

If you don’t make it a big deal and incorporate it into their lives (for me anyways) it makes it much easier to “get them to do things” (I tried for 5 minutes to make that sentence sound better but I give up at this point 😂)

And just like you said, word to word, he isn't like any other documenter/youtuber, he always delivers appropriateness while being so humble, understanding and knowledgeable. You could see that in the way he talks and expresses himself, he explains everything so smartly, he's just something else 😅 ig, we could say it's the love and dedication that he has for these wild adventures, he just loves what he's doing and nothing could make him happier than going on these journeys and showing the outside world what it's like living out there, far from our usual cruel world where money is King and where love and honesty is pretty much non existent. That's why this channel, all of Mike's contents, will never cease to amaze me, not to mention that it's very educational as well and Mike himself, being such a pro at what he does, the way he elaborates everything, always using clever wordings, some good life lessons here and there, which many times may leave us contemplating life, showing us that money doesn't always bring happiness, one can live off as happy as anyone out there without it. Anywho, Mike is such a gentleman, continue watching his vids and you won't get enough of it i assure you and just like me, he'll be one of your fav, if not thee favorite youtuber of yours amidst all the rest which you'd wait so patiently as to when he finna post his next vid, his nexr adventure 🤗 Delivering appropriateness, mind-blowing contents which gonna definitely get you addicted to watching and following his journeys where you'd get to see such amazing stuffs, stuffs which you might have not even heard of, through him which he never fails to deliver at all times 😎❤️ Kudos to Mike and the Fearless & Far team. @@qokandavalanches6077 I suspect that many traditional societies had this. My guess is that it is a remnant of earlier times when the human population was much, much smaller and hunter gatherer groups could go weeks without seeing other people. Since the tribal groups would become all interrelated within just a generation or two (they usually numbered less than a hundred each and probably less than fifty) they would need new genes to prevent inbreeding. This custom would help to prevent, or minimize, inbreeding while maintaining the group.

@@aaronws9561 no, a guest would not leave a woman pregnant, this is just a sign of respect - after all, not every guest could be awarded such a "gift". + marriage is very important in kazakh and is not that simple. We also still have the " 7 ancestors " thing - The principle of "Seven Ancestors" implied the obligatory knowledge of the names of their ancestors in the male line up to the seventh generation. Relatives up to the seventh generation were considered close and were collectively responsible for each other, marriages between them were prohibited in order to avoid incest. Also its no problem for nomads to meet other tribe's, since each tribe had its own territory for grazing

    • @aaronws9561
      @aaronws9561 3 года назад +28

@@qokandavalanches6077 first of all, I am referring to a period tens of thousands of years ago. Nomadism (such as the pastoral nomads) came along with sedentary civilization, which was at most 8-10k years ago.
Second, hunter gatherers are not nomads. You are applying social standards from literally thousands of years after what I am talking about and claiming this disproves my point. You might as well point out that modern pastoral nomads routinely use cars as well....
Third, how in the world would passing hunter gatherers know if a woman was pregnant when those passing by may stay only for a day? A week? Even a few weeks? We don’t even have the technology to do this today.
Fourth, your example in ONE group. In the South Pacific many tribal groups operate exactly as I described and did so until as little as a century ago. Clearly the Himba do this as well and there are versions of this in other societies.
Fifth, there are also many socities that have matrilineal descent. The Lenape of the Delaware Valley in the United States was one of a bunch in that region. Men from other tribes would “marry” a woman and visit her occasionally. When she became pregnant the child stayed with HER tribe and took HER identity. If she had a brother he became the father figure more than the biological father.
I am guessing you are from Kazakh and maybe you know a great deal about its recent history. That’s great and I am sure you could teach me a lot about the recent history there. However, we are talking about two totally different things: different time period, different types of people, etc. not to mention that thousands of years ago the human population was often in the tens of thousands.... worldwide. How do you figure they had “no problem meeting” in regions where the total human population may only be 1,000 spread over 200,000 sq miles!? Methinks you’ve taken a bit of local knowledge and tried to apply it universally. This usually doesn’t work.
However, the whole “7 ancestors” thing you’re referring to clear means that inbreeding was a concern. Remember something: no one creates rules to solve problems that don’t exist. In other words, if they create a rule to ensure no inbreeding, it is because inbreeding was a problem! Which is to say that what I was talking about was happening in Kazakh at some point in history (I can’t say when, maybe you can find out... it is either prehistoric or maybe the Scythian or Bactrian periods? It won’t be later is my guess.) so the local customs changed to cope with this problem.

You could've said in my culture marriage is a serious commitment and is not a decision than can be done within a few days. Also if it was just for the sex and they didn't actually want to marry, then you could've also told them that you have no intention of offending them but it is not something you want to do for several reasons. These women are gorgeous and so at ease. I love their energy! For any other traveling men out there being propositioned, perhaps say "Our cultures are very different. My culture has a very different approach to marriage and my practice does not allow me to." I also wonder if any of the woman had left with you, how quickly they would realize HOW weird and strange the world is outside of their tribe. Would they quickly try to come back to the comfort of knowing their way of life or would they embrace the bizarre strangeness of a foreign world

During colonisation of North America there have been such stories. Including white settlers who joined native tribes, sometimes as kids (orphans, or lost ones) and then were kidnapped back, or tried returning on their own to live with white people again. Almost each time they wanted to get back to living with native Americans.

I thought about this too. I'd bet she would be absolutely amazed, blown away buy some of the technology like fancy cars, airplanes, luxury buildings, appliances, lighting, HVAC, computers. I also imagine the crowds, pace, noise, and most of all general indifference and lack of community would make her want to go home after some time.... maybe with a Frigidaire and big screen TV 🤣

They aren't *that* ignorant. They would be overwhelmed changing their lifestyle to something so drastically different, but they are aware of technology enough that one of their tribesmen can wear earbuds without them being confused or worshipping it. They've no doubt visited nearby cities and seen smartphones, computers, and stuff like that. Probably have some more modernly dressed DJs within a hundred km or so.

I love how you do these. It’s not like some of these channels giving colonizer disrespectful vibes, rummaging thru these people’s lives like they are entitled to it, and treat it as tho these human beings are spectacles and entertainment because they’re different and “uncivilized”. You really immerse yourself and become one with the people. And really understand their perspective and way of doing things and interpreting reality. And it leads to them treating you like friends. Purest form of humanity. One does not need alot of things to be happy but only embrace the little you have and get contented with. The children appear healthy, happy, bright and sharp. Women are so warm that you can feel like staying there just to watch how they go about their lives. I havent seen anything like any form of discrimination amongst the tribe members as compared with the civilized tribes where there is enemity amongs members of same community. I love your shows Big up.

They are so free about they're sexuality, yet also still get a little insecure just like us when they're rejected. Even if they cant understand the reason. People in America at least are the same way in that regard and I just think its kind of sweet to find such a universal similarity amongst the differences.
