- With so many new players constantly joining what is still a growing game (Crazy as that may be for @everyone to believe!) it's important to go over some of the basics. Even veterans to Star Trek Fleet Command can forget where things are or how things work! In this video we cover the game's UI, where everything is, and even throw in some helpful tips. I wish I would have this when I first started
I originally downloaded it a few years but I have absolutely no idea on getting started on recruiting and getting that first mission and I re-download and still have no idea hope you're a good teacher I did subscribe hope you can teach me .
When I was first starting playing I hit lvl 16 and was promptly raided. I was so pissed that I deleted the game and didn't play for 6 months. Saw my brother playing and he laughed at me and called me a pansy ass. Now I'm lvl 46, great information.
Agreed 100% on the help button opening a new screen. This game could run so much faster and better if they cut down on the number of screens we jump through. It's crazy
I have posted this on Rev videos for the past two years. Seems like something that would be an easy fix but its Scopely... Stay classy San Diego and don't forget to pull your Syndicate chest!

One basic tip I feel needs mentioned is to Disable 'Mission Reminders on Login' from the Player Profile > Settings > General section

the one button i needed to know and didn't as a new player, was how to get to the RESEARCH button via the R&D building.
it took me MONTHS to learn it, up until then i couldnt get there if i had a research going .

The only thing I can really share is at lvl 15 and up shield. And keep watch on your shield time. Or you will loose your stuff. Shield or share.

I frequently get better rewards from 10 minute chests than 4 hour chests. There is no reason that as ops 39 I should be getting 1 hour speed ups from the 10 minute chest, then open the 4 hour chest and receive either two 5 min speed ups or 100 officer xp. Those kinds of rewards are insulting

I’ve been surprised by how often the 10 min chest has been better than a random 4 hour chest. I’ve also been surprised how often a 4 hour chest has been better than a random 24 hour chest. I don’t set a reminder, but worth the click.
For context, been playing for only 2 months and currently camping 19 after missing the camp at 14 advice.
Yea, in that range they can feel useful, bbut that feel will quickly fade!

Hello. New player here. With out spending money how to a gain Latinum. I dont have a refinery at the moment.. I am stuck at the moment not being able to do anything.
The generators server a very important purpose, they are things to spend rss on. Both for no reason, and for events...but that's about it.
Trying to easily setup multiple accounts on one device so that more people in the household can enjoy their own individual game play on multiple devices. Creating separate Scopely accounts doesn't do it because each Scopely account tries to link to the session already in play on that device whether it is phone app or PC. I can't believe Scopely forgot something so basic or so simple
Time Saving Tip for All New Players!
1.) Prepare to open your wallets. Max out your credit cards. Open several new accounts and max them out.
1a.) Apply for a 2nd... possibly 3rd mortgage on your family home.
1b.) Forget to appear in court for your divorce proceedings due to needing to grind resources to level up your very expensive digital pixels of a starship. Lose everything to the spouse.
2.) File Chapter 13 Bankruptcy promising to attend Gamers Anon to deal with your game spending habits. Fail to make your 1st month's agreed upon payment. File Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
3.) Wash... Rinse... Sit around the Whale Pods virtual campfire comparing how many ex-wives you have... But hey guys! Doesn't my fully loaded digital pixelated Enterprise look awesome!

Can you explain where one can go to do faction missions? Is there specific areas one needs to go?
Faction missions will be scattered in faction space, with one independent system usually having 1-2 "starter" faction missions. For locations of these missions encourage you to check out discord or places like stfc.space. The tricky thing is that the game has TONs of missions (over 2,400 total now) so its truly a long proces to work through them all.
It is like the game of thrones game, and many others. Only with a different gfx template. Supersmart those creators. One engine and several different templates. And ofcourse, makes them super rich.

What about these Tips for new users.
first 30 days to earn as you play with swag bucks.
for example:
claim gifts.
Recruit officers. Upgrade ship before Choosing building and research.
Do tasks.
Use peace shield.
After 8 days collect 7 day gift.
Help alliance after upgrades.
Decide on strategy like dilithium to get dry dock c for third ship. Get to operations level 18. I might try to sing the above words.
I have undiagnosed autism.
Any thoughts?

Love your videos!! Great job Rev! Quick question. Scopely updated today. Before the update, if my Kvort was docked, it showed 1.97M for cargo capacity~ now it says 1M. Some things Scopely shouldn't touch. Where would I go to tell Scopely my opinion about this?

Hey rev! I was told about your channel recently by an alliance member and so far it has been a great help. Now I have a question about playing on my Mac. In the new players gift section that you happen to mention, there is a new player chest that I need to redeem but when I click on it I need a promo code it says, have you encountered that? Now do I need to be a certain lvl and is there a level it disappears if I don't open it?
Promo codes are something they have for brand new players at low levels. A lot of content creators doing sponsored streams have them. WARPSPEED was one, for awhile, but there aren't really any for other players
So does grinding mean anytime you add it all up, or what does the positive do? Versus hostiles, or missions (exocomp)
Armadas have a glitch that drops the last player on the Armada list, and is replaced by the first queued player. Other people have noticed this glitch!
Rev, is there somewhere a list and location for all faction missions. Is there any nonfacrion missions located in lower space? I feel like I have skipped or overlooked missions. Thank you for all you do to help us progress!
You should do an exhaustive list of everything that latinum can do and how the latinum spend option is accessed. There are many gates to new player power advancement that can be skipped with modest latinum spends. There also traps where you can waste a ton of latinum, where the spend option is purchasing stuff you don't need to buy, like basic materials on instant research.

Nice basic coverage. Seems a lot to take in at once. I'm curious, what are the symbols in the upper right of the ships, and what do they mean? Any adivce for wanting to keep this as F2P as possible (i.e. grinding in some fashion to get the premium officers/items without paying real money)?
Tip #1 DON’T SPEND!!!!
Yup….gonna do it and cross scifi shows, once you spend it becomes like a Sarlacc Pit and you’ll be stuck for ages spending over and over again, while Scopely dines out on your dime.

Starting at level 23, there's a mission on Mondays you get. Do that for 3 monday's and you'll get a D'vor
Do new players still get the teasing of those 3 empty platforms that they'll make useful buildings?
I'm trying to figure out how to increase warp range on my ships. One of them is still warp 16 and i heard about hyperdrive modules. How do i equip them?

Move to a level 1-19 system and put up a shield.

Hi man nice video :) do you happen to know why i can't upgrade a level 20 Phindra's photonic torpedoes? i maxed it out on the other three components, but the kinetic photon torpedoes upgrade button is still grayed out... i can't move to the next tier if i don't upgrade those... is there any required research i am missing? there is no trace on what to do..

We need more ways to get alliance credits you don't even get enough each day to buy a 1 day shield
Agreed! YOu have to be in a top alliance to get consistent credits, and even then the payouts are way too low!

Whats the beginners guide to getting back into the game after 2022 April 5th new reset? I try to follow goto Google app store now my id is gone and im a new player. Will scopley send me my id? Lvl 31 and yes ive spent money 💰 am I done?
Trying to find out how to reset my account so I can restart and every time I find a so-called link I get nowhere and the usual advice about going on to settings doesn't even show anything remotely resembling "switch account", "reset account!" If anyone can help I would appreciate it because I uninstalled and reinstalled but I was back to where I last left it.
There is not a reset account option. You can request your account be deleted, or use a new email (example: Gmail or new player profile) to create a new account.
@@RevDeuce Thanks Rev and once I use another email account to create a new account on Scopely how do I then start the game with the new account because I have gone back into the game but there's no clear method for doing this?
So you'd create a new account, attach it to a new scopelyid, and then on your device you'd go into yoru settings and switch which ID you were using, and log into your other one.
@@RevDeuce Ok Rev, I've switched it to the other account but it's still loading up with my original one with the old ID at the top of the screen. So would I have to uninstall and reinstall the game for it to recognise the new one?
the 10 minutes gift is the only way in the game to get 1 minute repair speedups. found out since i stopped clicking the annoying thing for few months. result - 0 one minute repair speedups. which you realise how much you really need after they run out.
also the 4 hours chest gift is pathetic rewards too.
Those 1 minutes don't matter after awhile. One of the benefits to the dual faction grinding + swarms is you'll end up with an abundance of speedups. Example: I have 26,000 30 minute speedups.
they do if you accidently use them (i guess its what i did) AND stopped clicking the 10m gift box out of spite.
and yeah i had lots. dual fac since op 19 thanks to your vid, and dual lock now, working on 3d, klingon. swarms ok, franklin t7.
i may be wrong, but i think 1minutes repair speedups only come through that 10min gift box.
can you play this game using a controller? or do you have to use the keyboard? very upset that i watched the whole video and you didn't even mention this most basic thing for the game
Controller? Why would you be able to use a controller? It's not a console game. I'm sure you could set s omething up with bluestacks.

@Eleanor Holmes here's the short version :
1. Save all of them until you get to Ops23, just like Rev said, pull them for D'Vor blueprints, then when you do have the ship,
2. Save them again and just "forget"you have them until you get to Ops40+, because then you start getting much needed *4 materials, including rare and epics.

I'm still making my way through videos, playlists, comments, etc., but you use the terms "grinding" a lot. Just what is grinding?
Grinding is "grinding" through your red hostiles (NPCs) for rep, loot boxes, or just your dailies.

Fact. Continuously creating servers for new players is purely a money grab tactic. As players are more subject to spend cash in a server where the sense of reaching top seem more easily obtainable.

There is nothing new for players under lvl20. The same bs content since the game started, dont count away teams. The same ships, missions, events, rewards... Every day the same thing to do. Never ending loop of boring stuff.
Improve the content for lower levels not only adding stuff for lvl30+ players.
Rather waste your time on other games. 🖖

@@RevDeuce ok lets say the last 2 years then (away teams, exocomp and syndicate are not really exciting content for the lower levels).
My point is from lvl1 to lvl20 its allways the same missions, the same ships talla, turas, envoy, jelly, ns, bb, franklin; events and rewards. Its boring... even the new content with ferengi got me hyped but then dissapointed, another shiny dvor lol the officers that you can get are mostly "cadets"
I could go on and on but i dont wanna spam your comment section with that.
Its just frustration, i used to love this game but these times are over. Now i just watch your videos and im kind of glad not playing anymore.
How is it not exciting? My low level accounts GREATLY benefit from having Away Teams just by themselves. It significantly speeds up the procurement and leveling process.
So I'm on server 137, one of the oldest ones. I have a friend who's Ops19 now, he has a North Star at T6 and about 145M trit and over 500M steel from raiding. So once you get past your dailies and the very few events that show at
