    🌎 Unfortunately this stencil does not seem to be available anymore. I haven't used this one but it looks similar (there are others as well): amzn.to/3IDVT8A

    This stencil is 14 Gauge Steel Union Stencil that is designed for 3’ flag builds. It comes with instructions on how to use it and the dimensions for the flag. The build quality is excellent. I definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to build a flag like this for themselves.

    This is a great product and I've been very happy with it. I've used it several times now. I did notice a couple small rust spots appearing so I applied a light coat of oil before I put it back in storage. I linked the exact stencil I purchased off Amazon in the description above. Thanks for watching.

    I love these stencils. I have made 3 unions and the results were awesome. I make my unions on a single piece of wood and them combine the union with the strips using backers. These stencils allowed me to make the unions without wearing my 73 year old eyes out.
    I plan on using all three sizes using these stencils.

    Looking for an 81/2x81/2 star for a Texas flag. I’ve used the 50 star template and it works great!

    Thank you for the video. I am happy that I bought one last year before That Flag Company stopped selling them. The steel ones still found on Amazon are made in China. 😞

    Great thinking on the person that made the stencil they identified the fact everyone is making flags and capitalized off it.
    That’s how it’s done.

      I almost didn’t make this video. Wasn’t sure anyone would care. Glad I did. I really like this stencil. I done five flags with it.

    Hi. Thanks for the video. It appears at 1:20 that the Dremel tool is eating away at the stencil. Like with each pass the star actually gets larger. Have you found a way to keep this from happening?

    • @Ryder_In_Motion
      @Ryder_In_Motion  2 года назад

      I found it particularly challenging to find the right depth with my Dremel. If the bit is too high, it grinds the metal a little. If it’s too low it doesn’t cut the surface fiber of the wood and leaves a bunch of wood strings. The depth on my Dremel is adjusted by loosening the thumb screw and sliding the router frame up or down manually. It’s very imprecise. Perhaps a different Dremel attachment would make this easier. The good new is that the picture in the video is zoomed in. You can’t really see those grind marks. In fact, I didn’t even notice them until I zoomed that picture.

      Why not outline each star w a chisel and hammer then remove stencil and go back w a small disc bit on a dremel and take the top layer out or chisel each star to the original chiseled outline……put the effort in and use your noodle.

    i wonder if it is possible to use a trim router and a bushing in this stencil

      I’m not 100% sure. The star points are pretty small. I don’t think you’d be able to find a router bit with bushing small enough for that to work. I haven’t looked for one, but never seen anything that small for a router before.
