Love your videos Lou! You have such an addictive, dry sense of humour (although thinking about it, I have never heard of a wet one lol!). Yeah you cheer me up. Thats my late mum in my channel photo...shes way prettier than me and deserves some exposure. This stuff may have potential for special occasions if you work out how and where to apply it for best effect. I think I may try with ordinary surgical tape to see where and how to achieve some lift then apply this ...maybe it will work...its encouraging that its invisible under makeup.
@@fropalop dodo label is a Korean company and the maker to this " v라인 메이커" called "얼굴형 메이커". The product isnt as popular in Korea but the original face tape can be traced back as early as the 90s along side double lid tape. So it is indeed Korean, even if the videos she featured isn't.
You are so funny Lou--love your sense of humor. Just goes to show we gotta love ourselves, no matter what. In your case, you're gorgeous and do not need any face augmentation. Your skin is so youthful. Approach this topic again if and when you may need to--maybe when you're 60ish? Thanks for trying these. You're brave! 😘💕
So silly.. my great aunt use to do this. Before they had this thin tape. When aging she pulled her lower jaw separate from her upper jaw. I’ll never forget her pulling the tape off and her face falling. I totally wigged out. 🤯😰😭 I thought she had loosened something and her face was falling off. 💀🤔Melting is more like it. Unreal! My grandmother mom and my other great aunt all just laughed... at the whole situation. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
MzClementine That’s hysterical & must have freaked you out as a kid. I’m 61 & remember as a young teen loving all the crazy back-of-magazine & catalog advertisements for the weirdest beauty products. Good times.
@remi nii people believe Caucasians age more than others. Some truth in that because people with more melanin experience less side effects of the sun but if you wear a sunscreen regularly that protects against UVA as well (sunscreens always protect from UVB which causes skin cancer but UVA causes aging so looking for something that says broad spectrum or PA+++ however many pluses they wanna add will protect your skin from aging) then it won't matter what skin color you have, you shouldn't age any quicker than your genetics decide which is rather slow in comparison to what the sun does to the skin. Edit: for the record just having some or a lot of melanin does not completely protect your skin from the sun, everyone should wear sunscreen
You can get this product, or should I say similar product, here in the US... I am a Nurse and have seen this used widely in in hospitals, and if you ever had an IV inserted for any length of time you have seen it as well. It is essentially Tegaderm strips. They can be found in first aid section at any pharmacy. They are VERY thin, very stretchy. You apply as desired and hold hand over the strip to apply warmth which aids in adhering it to the skin. They are waterproof and are meant to cover a wound or incision or inserted needle to keep out germs and moisture. They are so thin they are almost undetectable. And, although I have never seen or thought of such a thing used in this way, I see its functionality. Leave it to the Chinese people to figure this out they are ingenious in their inventions and uses of things. I have never tried to apply makeup over it but I assume it should be doable. If you are that interested, I say, Experiment. Cheaper and safer than plastic surgery. Although Words of wisdom here. Just be you and love yourself. And this wouldn't be necessary. As people age (Men and women alike) our skin elasticity and features of our face change. Any reasonable human knows this. And if someone doesn't accept you as you, well they just aren't worth it, as you can't wear Tegaderm stuck to you forever.
Try kenesiology tape, Lou, and place the strips about a 1/2" below your earlobe at the jowl spot and draw up (tape stretches) just BEHIND your lobe all the way around the hairline at the nape area to the opposing side a 1/2" below the lobe and stick. Just like using one of those Art Harding facelift gadgets with the stretchy string going around the back of the neck, but more comfortable and effective. Special hack of mine for special occasions
@Lexine Bate It's true that the tape is flesh-toned, but I much prefer that to the shiny reflection that transparent tapes make and it's stretchy - unlike the transparent. With practice, using the kinesiology tape works beautifully for an evening or special occasion.
@ShirleyRed8 You can wear it for multiple days and it'll safely and comfortably hold. I put a strip last night, slept with it and still have it on. I use the Spartan brand in beige. Look for a deal cuz it can go for $39.95/roll and I found some on Amazon for $6.99 (plus free shipping). Good luck & LMK how it goes?
@ShirleyRed8 An update: As I mentioned, I had put a strip on Sat. evening, slept with it that night and wore the tape all Sun. When I removed the strip on Sun night, it left a tiny blister right behind my rt lobe where I first "anchored" it. It was likely caused by extreme, prolonged tension on super delicate skin. It does't hurt, but I would be an @ss if I didn't you. Good luck.
If you really look at the side by side photos it actually did make a slight difference her face was pulled a bit more up creating the V shape that most Asians want but because she had a very structured jawline already, it's hard to tell but it definitely made a difference!
I'm going to do this . I'm considering making a video also. I have a pretty youthful face for my age. I'm 57, but I definitely could use a lift in spots.
Love your sense of humor when you make these videos I think you’re hysterical… I’m disappointed that you didn’t add an affiliate link for these face tapes so I could purchase them myself and do a demo on my channel with my mom?!?! Argh Lol
Saw the video out of curiosity. It was an interesting demonstration and really like that you do this in real time. I did notice however, you are very beautiful and would not need such additional support in any case
Video and comments are hilarious! Having seen some of the Asian makeover videos, they're either EXTREMELY talented or have some amazing special effects.
@H S no, ignorant Only 20% of korean women got that ON THE HIGHEST SURGERIES PER capita CITY ON SOUTH KOREA, you wanna know more? Vast majority of these are double eyelids/eye surgeries for health's purpose, that % drops brutally when it comes to non double eyelids/eyes surgeries for health's purpose, and that ON THE HIGHEST SURGERIES PER CAPITA CITY OF ASIA Database hurts uh?
Why are u fighting over who uses it? Asians use it! Who cares who wears it. There is really no need to fight over something so silly. (Just wanted to put it out there...)
Haha loved when you put the tape on your nose 😂😂😂; Also, your voice reminds me a little bit of Julia Roberts [she's one of my favorite actresses so I mean this as a complement].
I have chipmonk cheeks I would so give it a go!! But I don't think I'd have the patience to figure it out. Your first reaction when the tape fell off you looked at camera and said "oh" was the only reason I finished this video. Your reaction and presence is real. You have taped up a new sub doll. 🤗
Can you imagine sitting at dinner w someone and the tape fell off and started hanging from their face and they have NO idea and just keep on eating and laughing away until they hit up the restroom and the horror of spinach in the teeth has long since been forgotten and replaced w the reflection of the makeup-laden tape flopping off of your face from the bathroom mirror because you still have to go back out their and pretend like it never happened or come up w some fantastical story about why it's there in the first place!!!??? Run-on sentence, but you get my drift.
You don't need tape, your face is great!! I'm going to try the "Art Harding's Instant Face and Neck Lift" I just need a little "tug up" on each side because of my age.
i think the reason why it didn;t work on u is because you already have a really v-shaped face......oh and ...."so thats what the directions in here are for" (fanning her face) LMAO!
Hi Lou! You absolutely do NOT need to tape your face! Are you kidding??? You have beautiful bone structure and no puff or loose skin! Your skin is also luxuriously translucent! Your video was however, HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!!!
I’ve never heard of this and after seeing the clips of them take off bits of their nose had me dying. 🤭😂 but as a rounder face gal , I’m sad to admit this actually peaked my interest 🙈. The things we do to achieve “beauty”.
자차 It happens. I've randomly heard about things I've never used, would never use, and had never heard about before: Usually when someone from another country attributes it to mine. -_- USA... like... butt stuffing exists... why?
It's kind of like breast implants, I've heard of them being done in the USA, I know it is popular on tv, but I don't know a single woman who has them. Nose jobs, liposuction, butt implants, still don't know anyone with them.
I actually just returned a tape-on faux-facelift set. Completely unused. Couldn't bring myself to try it. The Asian cosplayer teen girls use this tape on their already completely youthful jawlines to pull their faces anime-tight. It's unbelievable. They recommend taking off the surgical tape with a remover; otherwise, you can pull off your own skin.
can you tell me about that sculpture clay stuff? what is it? i keep seeing these videos of these women peeling off their noses. i have never heard of anyone using this in a makeup routine. is it durable? like could you wear it out without looking crazy?? or do they just use it in these videos for dramatic effect and using it in public would definitely make you look insane. im just curious. im a makeup fanatic so all the different techniques are very interesting to me. im definitely not knocking it. the girls look fantastic but the difference is just so dramatic!
Greetings from Korea where you can buy these in any beauty store or Daiso and find commercials for it online :) Absolutely they are used, but not for everyday use, it's advertised for photoshoots or special occasions
I remember a few years ago there was these tapes that had bands that went behind your neck to give you a neck and face lift. The bands where hid by your hair (if you had long enough hair anyway lol) and they really did work BUT OMG I thought after wearing it for hours and taking it off whether or not this would be a good thing to keep doing because it seemed like it was actually STRETCHING my skin and so I opted to not do that anymore. Can you imagine that you are at dinner with a date or something and it comes undone LOL Obviously catching up here...one more and I'm caught up LOL xoxo Mary

I am Korean and this is my first time seeing this product. No one around me uses this. I don't want to have a V-line by using this. This is weird. Other Korean women will agree with my opinion. There are many Korean women who don't want makeup themselves because of feminism. Your video make other people misunderstand Korean women as obsessed with looking pretty.
What the heck are you talking about? South Korea is THE place where plastic surgery is most common. Your Pop idols look like Barbie and Ken dolls. I know a few Korean girls and one of them wears circle lenses every day and speaks with a high-pitched SUPA-KAWAII-MOE voice. Your country does have an issue with beauty obsession. A very big issue! Not to mention fashion trends. A new jacket comes out and everyone needs to have it ASAP, even if it goes out of trend next season and ends up in the bin. Or course I'm not saying ALL Korean women are like that. Of course not! And it's not even their fault. But Ulzzang is a thing and your country does have an issue. Don't ignore it. That's not going to help.
@@Hitogata It's funny that you're criticizing Korean. You guys put fillers on your lips to look like Kylie Jenner and get surgery to have hip like Kardashian's. And color eyelashes into black. I think you should not ignore that. Look your own country before criticizing Korean.

When you love something, you gotta be critical of it as well. Ignoring problems won't make them go away.

I am really from Korea and I have never seen a girl who uses this. What Korea are you from? It is definitely not South Korea.
애틀시 there’s only two Koreas and I’m definitely south I’ve never seen someone use it either but people do like small faces
Fluffy Kookie I agree with you on that. Btw, I think it’s funny that we are having this conversation in english ㅋㅋ instead of korean. 굿밤〜
"my finger is brown because...i dyed my eyebrows. and i don't bother with gloves."
i love this lady
Guaranteed someone invented that after playing with Command Strips 😂
Lol!! 😂😂😂
Tye B I laughed so hard but how do you know it wasn't after "the glue trick"?
Love your videos Lou! You have such an addictive, dry sense of humour (although thinking about it, I have never heard of a wet one lol!). Yeah you cheer me up. Thats my late mum in my channel photo...shes way prettier than me and deserves some exposure.
This stuff may have potential for special occasions if you work out how and where to apply it for best effect. I think I may try with ordinary surgical tape to see where and how to achieve some lift then apply this ...maybe it will work...its encouraging that its invisible under makeup.
I am Korean and I've never seen and heard such tape in my whole my life. I've never seen a store selling it as well.
Bcz in Korea they do the V line surgery...
Thegirlnextdior and in america they get butt lifts and boob jobs:)
You must not be looking hard enough, I've seen them many places, including Daiso :D
It’s because this is a Chinese product, she gave out the wrong information. I really hope she would fix the title...
Those are clips of Chinese women as far as I know.
You are very beautiful! Not only your face but your voice, gestures, and hair and make up choices all looks very harmonious. :)
So silly.. my great aunt use to do this. Before they had this thin tape. When aging she pulled her lower jaw separate from her upper jaw. I’ll never forget her pulling the tape off and her face falling. I totally wigged out. 🤯😰😭
I thought she had loosened something and her face was falling off.
Good times.
Her face FELL?! Omg I hope no one has to experience that ever again.
The joys of being Caucasian lol
@remi nii black don't crack. White people's skin ages quicker.
I have the best time watching your videos. You make me laugh and they are a joy to watch.
You are hilarious I love the ongoing commentary
OMG u r soo funny!! I don’t even care what ur testing, ur so funny I just wanna watch! Thank you for making me laugh! Namasté 🙏🏽
I'm more interested in how your dyed your eyebrows(: Enjoy your humor a great deal!
@ShirleyRed8 And to you and yours, darlin'.♡
@ShirleyRed8 An update: As I mentioned, I had put a strip on Sat. evening, slept with it that night and wore the tape all Sun. When I removed the strip on Sun night, it left a tiny blister right behind my rt lobe where I first "anchored" it. It was likely caused by extreme, prolonged tension on super delicate skin. It does't hurt, but I would be an @ss if I didn't you. Good luck.
If you really look at the side by side photos it actually did make a slight difference her face was pulled a bit more up creating the V shape that most Asians want but because she had a very structured jawline already, it's hard to tell but it definitely made a difference!
i would love to see all this being done on someone old , where a difference would be astonishing
I'm going to do this . I'm considering making a video also. I have a pretty youthful face for my age. I'm 57, but I definitely could use a lift in spots.
I hope you can love yourself. You are beautiful
I'm first to post, hi Lou I love you girl, love the video!!!!
Hi Evangeline!
I love your personality. You’re so funny! Very awesome sense of humor very close to my own. Just hilarious. And beautiful!
Love your sense of humor when you make these videos I think you’re hysterical… I’m disappointed that you didn’t add an affiliate link for these face tapes so I could purchase them myself and do a demo on my channel with my mom?!?! Argh Lol
Mathias4Makeup look up v shape tape to order
Saw the video out of curiosity. It was an interesting demonstration and really like that you do this in real time. I did notice however, you are very beautiful and would not need such additional support in any case
Wondering if it would work on one of my chins?!?!!
Tracy Clements or some thicker ones to hold up my tits 🤣😂🤣🤣
Omg I love your personality and humor I’m subscribing 😘
isn't this from chinese? from that one chinese trend?
kumamon you are right. This woman realized they are not Korean thing by a lot of comments but doesnt want to change the title.
Why does she need to change the title, when the title is accurate? The title doesn't say it's a Korean trend.
Video and comments are hilarious! Having seen some of the Asian makeover videos, they're either EXTREMELY talented or have some amazing special effects.
No one use that in Korea.
@H S no, ignorant
Only 20% of korean women got that ON THE HIGHEST SURGERIES PER capita CITY ON SOUTH KOREA, you wanna know more? Vast majority of these are double eyelids/eye surgeries for health's purpose, that % drops brutally when it comes to non double eyelids/eyes surgeries for health's purpose, and that ON THE HIGHEST SURGERIES PER CAPITA CITY OF ASIA
Database hurts uh?
Yeahh korean don’t do this, it was chinese
@ChikaBoom Womp 어 나는 안 써~ 내 친구들도 안 써~ 23년 동안 인생 살면서 이거 쓰는 지인 한 명도 못 봤어~
Who cares who does it where?? Most of the girls be caking their face either way. Some worst than others.
I heard the exact same thing!!
It's Chinese
erdbeerchan it’s a korean product
You’re so beautiful I can’t tell before and after but thanks for showing as I now see how to use them via stretch
To ppl commenting g that this is a Chinese trend. I THINK SHE GETS IT.
😂😂😂
She does!
LOL OMG! you had me in stitches. Loved the video.
It is Tegaderm. The same thing they use in hospitals to hold the IVs in place.
When she said the instructions were there to fan her face, I cracked up lol.
Hi Lou! You absolutely do NOT need to tape your face! Are you kidding???
You have beautiful bone structure and no puff or loose skin! Your skin is also luxuriously translucent!
Your video was however, HIGHLY ENTERTAINING!!!
This is Chinese and it gets popular on tik tok (dou yin), maybe u need to change your title
Who cares?
The product is Korean
jojojoy It's both and the box literally is Korean product written i Korean. Not chinese.
She should have not put Korean on this. As a Korean woman this makes me upset coz korean women hate this kinda unnatural fake makeup.
Between Winters the product is not Korean it's made by Chinese and they put weird make no sense Korean words on it to pretend Korean product.
Thanks for your great video, happy new year!
I’ve never heard of this and after seeing the clips of them take off bits of their nose had me dying. 🤭😂 but as a rounder face gal , I’m sad to admit this actually peaked my interest 🙈. The things we do to achieve “beauty”.
Just fyi the expression is actually 'piqued my interest'. Piqued means to be excited in terms of interest or curiosity.
*piqued
This is Great! I really liked this video!! I got a good chuckle!
3:47 I truly laughed out loud! You make me smile!!!
Gurl...you are beautyful!..no matter what!
I have never seen such a product even though I’m a Korean
자차
It happens. I've randomly heard about things I've never used, would never use, and had never heard about before: Usually when someone from another country attributes it to mine. -_- USA... like... butt stuffing exists... why?
John & Jane Smith still a korean product
It's kind of like breast implants, I've heard of them being done in the USA, I know it is popular on tv, but I don't know a single woman who has them. Nose jobs, liposuction, butt implants, still don't know anyone with them.
@John & Jane Smith i'm chinese and never saw that either 😂
Its there in the viral asian makeup transformation videos.
You have the most beautiful alabaster perfect skin ever btw 🤩
I actually just returned a tape-on faux-facelift set. Completely unused. Couldn't bring myself to try it.
The Asian cosplayer teen girls use this tape on their already completely youthful jawlines to pull their faces anime-tight. It's unbelievable. They recommend taking off the surgical tape with a remover; otherwise, you can pull off your own skin.
Use a Qtip to dye your eyebrows. Works great
Koreans do not use those tape or sculpture clay. The ladies are Chinese.
can you tell me about that sculpture clay stuff? what is it? i keep seeing these videos of these women peeling off their noses. i have never heard of anyone using this in a makeup routine. is it durable? like could you wear it out without looking crazy?? or do they just use it in these videos for dramatic effect and using it in public would definitely make you look insane. im just curious. im a makeup fanatic so all the different techniques are very interesting to me. im definitely not knocking it. the girls look fantastic but the difference is just so dramatic!
Greetings from Korea where you can buy these in any beauty store or Daiso and find commercials for it online :) Absolutely they are used, but not for everyday use, it's advertised for photoshoots or special occasions
@Mary Osegueda Westerners have silicone breasts and hips. And they get lip injections with elephant butt. just like you.
Don't judge other races.
I think I can use them for my stretch marks. But you did a real review and you made me laugh so I am subscribing and sharing you on my social media.
Haha did you say 'godverdomme' while opening the package?
Been dying to see someone older and non Asian try these. Thanks! 😊
Idk how old you are....but you look to be about my age ! Im 31. Glad i found your channel! Luv ya already!
My skin is A) sensitive and B) the tapes don't stick so I put Liquid Bandage on the space where the ends stick and it works great.
My skin did not like the tape either. Left a blister. I will try this!
every damn comment about thing being chinese, not korean. :D people stooop, we understand. :D
Radkarys Vargaryen Yea but she should at least change the tittle
Wow Lou!!! Totes difference!!! That stuff works 💥 the blend was the seller...lol..
Girl u did not just call the Chinese trend a Korean trend💀
They have them in Korean shops to
That's so brilliant when you tried that in clear and transparent way lol
I remember a few years ago there was these tapes that had bands that went behind your neck to give you a neck and face lift. The bands where hid by your hair (if you had long enough hair anyway lol) and they really did work BUT OMG I thought after wearing it for hours and taking it off whether or not this would be a good thing to keep doing because it seemed like it was actually STRETCHING my skin and so I opted to not do that anymore. Can you imagine that you are at dinner with a date or something and it comes undone LOL Obviously catching up here...one more and I'm caught up LOL xoxo Mary
thank you for the vid i was always wondering about them :) but one more thing can you tell me what make up did you use
이것은한국제품은맞으나 우리에게선 흥행하지않습니다.동영상의주인공들은 중국.대만.베트남여자입니다.알겠냐? 죹도모르는죹같이생긴년아알고쳐올려^_^
This is a Korean product, but it does not really show up among Korean people. People in the video are all Chinese, Taiwanese and Vietnamese women.
"That's what the instructions are in there for" proceeds fanning face😂😂 thats soo funny
Eeew that is just insane that they do that. 😩imagine being on a date and the guy sees your face melting like a horror picture once the tape pops off🤣🤣
Lol
Such a casual vid to come accross haha. Kinda funny too haha. Cool as
Dutchies be like did she just say godverdomme 😂
Hahaha precies wat ik wilde posten! "Did she just say godverdomme?" 😂
Oh prachtig!🤣😎
Yess! I was like; did she really just speak Dutch?! 🤣 so cool!🧡
You already look great!
She just tries out something she saw going viral!
@@nanacondabjj9324 I think so too. But she needs to know the effects of her video.
Her video causes misunderstanding about Korean women.
@@Hitogata It's funny that you're criticizing Korean. You guys put fillers on your lips to look like Kylie Jenner and get surgery to have hip like Kardashian's. And color eyelashes into black. I think you should not ignore that. Look your own country before criticizing Korean.
Haha I'm not American, I'm Portuguese. But sure, that is a huge problem as well! I wish everyone would just accept and love themselves as they are. And I understand it's very difficult, with media bombarding us with "perfection" all the time. And I'm the first to criticize my own country. When you love something, you gotta be critical of it as well. Ignoring problems won't make them go away.
Your gorgeous! You don't need face tape of any kind!
I think..It is not korean. I never seen before. the package is in Korean, But the video is Chinese.🤔
John Korean ppl don’t use those, a lot of Chinese ppl do or Vietnamese
I do it from under jaw and under the ear. It doesn't give you effect of the full lift, but it makes jawline more defined. not like you would need it, but maybe some viewers.
I just might be the only person to say this...but I like my plump cheeks lol ...face.....I wish my back bottom was plumper too lol tmi? Oops love you girl 😘
Sweetie you are sooooo funny as you as funny you know what I meant....you make me laugh thank you so much for make my day and by the way you don’t need any of that you so cute just like that more videos like this please thank you so much 😂😂😂
When they take off the tapes, idk why it satrts hurting me.lol
video: Face tape off
me: ouch
video: fake nose off
me: eww
video: eyebrows and eyelashes off
me: lol
I find myself quite pretty through the mirror but when I take pictures...who's this ugly person?
Taekook태국 It DOES look like it hurts tho doesn't it? Like suddenly I feel like that's probably every piece of medical tape ever but worse because it's on the face. And just ouch..Could you imagine if it caught some Angel hairs? Yeeeouch!
You are extremely funny in this, loved the video as I watched 2 funny kuds that saw this and were shocked so this is how O came across your video. Thanks for doing it :)
