Thank you for this. Can you consider using commas to separate contents? In that way, you don't have to create separate firewall rules for different content names. You can put all of them in one firewall rule and separate them with commas.
maher hadad why did you close your previous youtube channel? i was watching your vids in your previous channel. please upload those playlists in this channel too.
Hello! Great tutorial! Do you have video about how to block sharing between VLAN's ? Or about how to allow only reach the different VLAN's printer etc. ?
i think it's possible make a address list for the printers and use the exclamation symbol in destination address list, and drop, you tell anything outside this address list are dropped coming from your diferents vlans
Ok, I went and did a test on this. What happens is when the operating system network stack is not able to lookup those entries through the firewall, something will pull the DNS servers (let's say you have configured 6 DNS servers for your O.S., just so that you are covered enough if one or more servers go down) - all the DNS servers will be pulled up to the "WhatsApp Black List" List. I've seen that, yes, some of the servers that are pulled are indeed from WhatsApp, *BUT*, somehow, things like 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.8.4 or OpenDNS from Cisco or your ISP DNS'es get all pulled into this list. So when this happens, then your network cannot get through the Internet, because it blocks all DNS'es. Perhaps we could think of a rule that will free these DNS servers from being pulled into the list. The "Facebook Black List" from the video "How to block Facebook", based on the rule of collecting the IP addresses first, is working full on and hands down. But here, it happens that WhatsApp is a bit more tricky.
Okay, so what I did was this: I created a list called "Free the DNS servers", in them I added the Google's DNS, Cisco's OpenDNS and my ISP's DNS (a total of 6 IPs). Then I created a filter rule "Accept the DNS servers" and in forward chain I added the created list and chose rule to accept the packets. One catch: this filter rule needs to come BEFORE the WhatsApp Blocking Rule. Even if the DNS comes up in the WhatsApp Block List, it won't get blocked, because there is this filter before allowing it. It needs several days to make a WhatsApp consistent list. I have 16 IPs on WhatsApp Block List. Still experimenting, but I can see that I am degrading and causing issues to the people using WhatsApp over the phone, even though ocasionally they manage to send messages or receive calls (I suppose that WhatsApp manages here or there to go through another new server or a server not bound to the domain names - I also added mmx-ds.cdn.whatsapp.net). WhatsApp Desktop completely stopped, though - no sign of life. However, in phone, it is managing to come up with something.
In simple que, when i set up 30 mbps as parent bandwidth and set up 4 mbps for WhatsApp, in speedtest i have 60 mbps, so bandwidth limit not working for me after that, so i set Up WhatsApp packets in que tree and now i dont know does it works, but i have 30 mbps on parent que.
I just got one issue with this video maybe you can comment on your thoughts.. We only seem to be prioritising traffic to Whatsapp from the Lan addresses to Whatsapp Servers.. Shouldnt we also priritise the traffic originating from Whatsapp Servers to the LAN ? The return traffic in other words??? Maybe a mangle rule to mark the connection source Address = Whatsapp Servers and destination LAN ip range ?? Also mark the parkets as Whatsapp Pckt for that traffic ? Let me know your thoughts on this ???
Not sure what you think about the WhatsApp Up and Down Mangle in this video link specifically ? Appreciate your thoughts... ruclips.net/video/esbpW5jbQt4/видео.html

Hi, I hope you can help me. I am using a Mikrotik HAP AC2. I was looking at the logs and I have a lot of 7E:07:XX:XX:70:XX@wlan1: disconnected, extensive data loss, signal strength -47 then about 30 seconds later, it reconnects. What would cause this?
