A palmar nodule is the first sign of Dupuytren's disease. Nodules appear in the early stage of the disease and can be painful.
Palmar cord - is a string that pulls the affected finger towards the palm. This develops later, when the condition is in a more advanced stage.
The disease can affect a single finger or several at the same time. It can occur in one hand or bilaterally.
