    I'm really glad they decided to sell this as a separate set as well

      Actually wished they just released the batcave version as it's own set, not only would it be a little cheaper than $50 and it would be an incentive for people to buy both.

    I'm so happy they did sell the batmobile on its own, I had no interest in the batcave but really liked the look of the batmobiles, but they were all so expensive to get, so happy we're finally getting it as its own set, hopefully we'll see more stuff like this in the future

    0:51 my theory is the small bat mobile set was originally meant to be a The Flash set but Lego decided not to have any toys related to Ezra Miller after what happened last year, in turn they decided to move the release date to August instead of May, and replace the flash minifigure with the 1989 Joker instead.

    the solo version generally looks better, but the intake on it being so high compared to the GWP and the SB versions throws me off, i'll likely end up modifying the rear so it can sit a stud lower

    I love this Batmobile, but I did a custom build where someone shows how to expand the front so it’s just as wide as the back end. This set is a great start, but made perfect with customizing. 👍

    This is pretty cool to see. I was sad I didn't pick up the $50 Batmobile when I saw it. I just don't have a lot of real estate left in my man-cave for stuff. I have shelves and shelves of Batman stuff, and my wife bought me the Lego Batwing (I've wanted it since I was a kid) and it's particularly large. I thought maybe I'd build a cabinet to hold the Batwing with the Batmobile on top possibly (honestly never thought I'd own it).

    ALSO... The air intake above the cockpit is one stud higher up and further back on the solo model. Additionally, the cockpit roof is one stud longer on the solo model.
    Whilst I think these are both too blocky and rectangular as they lack the curves on the side, neither of these is a perfect model based on the style they went for.
    I like the angled wings on the Batcave model, and its slightly shorter roof with the lower air intake. The top air intake on the solo model sits up too high imo. However, the air intakes on the side of the solo model are better than those on the batcave model.
    Overall, I'm glad I made my own 1989 batmobile moc so I don't have to pick up either of these sets :)

    If you are going to label the Batcave Batmobile at $400 for the comparison to $50 one then you have to include the actual Batcave build as a part of it and not just the car otherwise it doesn’t make any sense and is a completely unfair comparison.

    Lego is actually so stupid for making the $50 Batmobile set. It’s overpriced and it replaced the flash set only for it to be almost identical to the one in a d2c

    • @Lanosrep
      @Lanosrep Год назад +3

      Lego is actually very smart for doing that. The Flash flopped, so instead of having it tied in branding to that, it's now tied to the timeless 1989 film instead, which is a film which has had sets that have sold well for the last 4 years now. And it being almost identical to the d2c is good in that people don't have to get a set 8x the price just for the car. The only downside here is the price, but within a year sales will bring that down

    • @rodrign007
      @rodrign007 Год назад

      @@Lanosrep lego has only done batman sets since 2020 and the once amazing theme of “dc superheroes” no longer exists. Putting the flash in this set would’ve been the perfect way for lego to acknowledge that there’s more to dc than just Batman and because of this change I don’t think they’ll ever get a chance to do it. I’m also a huge flash fan and this would’ve been the perfect way to get a new minifigure of him. Unfortunately we have an almost identical build of the other set, which I understand why you think that’s good, but I personally think that’s useless, also this set is overpriced (which we agree on) and throwing in another minifigure in there, especially another dc superhero other than Batman, may have justified it

    • @Lanosrep
      @Lanosrep Год назад

      @@rodrign007 The Batmboile was only in the film for a matter of seconds and was never driven, it would have been false advertising for the Flash to be there. This is probably the reason that set was cancelled, because they saw how little it appeared in the finished film.
      And while I agree, I miss Lego DC, it was one of my favorite themes. But the comic sets sold poorly, and the film related sets were tied to bombing films. It's been 4 years since a PG-13 DCEU film has actually broken even at the box office. If people aren't going to see the films, they definiely aren't buying merchendise

    • @rodrign007
      @rodrign007 Год назад

      @@Lanosrep I completely understand what you’re saying about movie accuracy and not wanting lego to have anything to do with that the flash. I just personally wish it was a comic based batman set with a flash minifigure tie in this way people could get a that figure
