A year ago, my skin was at its worst.. then I came across your channel, and it has educated me about skin more than all courses I took in dermatology(I'm an oral surgeon), and now I have come to perfectly manage most of my skin problems with really basic products and simple routines.
From the bottom of my heart: THANK YOU.

And because she is a wonderful person to know as well brings Joy. Don't you find that you can't wait to see her weekend Adventures out with her mom and and with Tybee? Even if it's just down to the local Walgreens, it's more fun when I'm with her then when I'm just shopping around by myself or even with a friend. Never thought something could be more exciting than the State Fair when it comes to town! She just makes it that way. I'm not walking around aimlessly picking up products based on what they say that they do on the front of the bottle oh, I'm actually making some sense now I feel happy when I can help another person select a product although they probably wish I'd go away because I keep saying no, that has fragrance in it! This generally happens at a TJ Maxx or Marshalls where another lady might ask if I've ever used a product or what I think about it and I can see it never occurred to them to look at the ingredients.

My tip for preventing crow's feet is try not to laugh and smile too often.
Jokes aside, one thing that I've been doing is to wear sunglasses and a hat whenever I go out during the day. I find it's hard to put enough sunscreen around your eyes and sometimes it smears. The double protection of the hat + sunglasses also makes me squint less.
I'm 28 and recently talked to a 27-year-old guy who loves being outdoors and clearly does not use sun protection. He has very noticeable crow's feet and other lines and looks a good 10 years older than me.
So thanks Dr for inspiring me to be more vigilant about my sun protection. I'm already seeing a difference 🌞

I wear a Cowboy hat and catch a lot of trash about it. Even being in Houston Texas area. UNREAL. Mostly WOMEN! UNBELIEVABLY THREATENED I DON'T GIVE BULLCRAP ABOUT LOOKING LIKE A "SOCCER MOM" OR SPORTY SPOILED RICH GIRL. I think "some" are very, very intimidated by a person who follows freedom...p.s. I AM 62PLUS AND EVEN MUCH YOUNGER WOMEN ACT THREATENED.. I am open-hearted, and only dye my hair and usually only wear lipstick, even as my blusher, skin oil and perfume and facial oils, sunscreens when I remember...

At 47 I'm comfortable with having a few lines - I smiled, laughed and had fun causing the crows feet. Wrinkles are normal as we age, so for me having happy healthy skin is more important. I just don't like the idea of botox - injecting poison into my face - no thanks. Obviously each to their own. Texture of skin is more troublesome than wrinkles for me. Stretched pores in the centre of my face (I always had dry skin so few visible pores) and gravity taking a toll. I'm menopausal so my skin feels like the bounce is fading. I've been using retin a recently (previously used retinols) and otherwise I focus on hydration/moisture/sunscreen. I plan to grow older somewhat disgracefully, but aging is better than the alternative. I worked as a RN/RGN for many years mostly with cancer patients, so I'm very aware not everyone gets the opportunity to grow old. Best wishes.

Laugh lines!😄 Good skincare habits will help you feel your best.👊 Sunscreen use is critical to prevent cancer and reduce the cost of skin products/procedures down the road. So, slather on the sunscreen, put on a wide brimmed hat and sunglasses, and GO TRAVEL, girl! I think travelling will make you far more beautiful than botox.❤❤

Wow my skin looks better! Just sayin, might be worth the investment. The Ordinary is pretty cheap. ❤✌

She does have a tinted SPF video. I've been on a hunt for the last 2 years for the perfect tinted sunscreen. I LOVE sunbum tinted 30 spf and elta md physical 41spf tinted. Getting sunbum on sale at Ulta helps with the cost. Also Elta MD is sold on dermstore.com and they have 20% off sales regularly. Both are absolutely great! Not greasy or drying. A lot of people love Australian gold tinted SPF 50 but for me and my sister it was soooo dying. Like I couldn't wait to wash it off. For reference I've tried the 6 different tinted sunscreens - definitely try the sun bum or Elta Md- you won't be disappointed.

A handful of videos and three months of a new skin care routine is all it took to undo the damage four dermatologists did to me in the 80's and the 90's and their legacy into the 2020's. You are the first dermatologist that didn't tell me my cystic acne is from "being dirty," you are the first dermatologist who told me to use an oil-based cleanser or makeup remover to remove sunscreen (I have never worn sunscreen because I could never find a single one that never made me break out simply because I was never washing it off properly), and you are the first dermatologist who emphasized moisturizing my skin. I now use Albolene, Neutrogena ultra hydrating cleanser (creamy formula), and CeraVe moisturizing cream on my face ONLY, and for the first time since I was 8 years old I do not have blackheads or pimples and my face isn't red or peeling. I am 42. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU!!!
Oh, and sunscreen... I use gobs of it all day long! And I can use whatever fragrance free chemical or mineral sunscreen that's on sale that week. I've "downgraded" from LRP to our beloved Texas' HEB brand spf 50 with no oxybenzone. My wallet is in heaven.

Try putting pillows the long way a tiny bit under each side from your lower ribs to your hips. When you go to roll on your side you'll roll on the pillow and that uncomfortableness it gives you should wake you up enough for you to roll onto your back again. They also make pregnancy pillows that are velcro adjustable and flat in the middle with two smaller pillow like lumps on each end that would work the same way. Kept me on my left side as I slept throughout my pregnancy.

@Cindy Lou LOL! Tell me about it. What I have learned is that I can start out on my side but then turn my head so that the back of my head is on the pillow and I'm hopeful that no parts of my face touches the pillow during the night but when I wake up and I find that it is I rode the pillow so that my face is hanging over the side but it's not flat against the pillow. I hope that helps me some because if you were looking at me and analyze my face you could probably tell what side I like to sleep on.

YES! I use the Walmart Equate Brand Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50 for Babies! It's only $4.98 for 3 ounces, and it also works VERY WELL as a makeup primer!
I also use Aveeno's Day Cream with SPF 30, after my mineral sunscreen is absorbed. This is another great product to consider or to use in conjunction with the mineral sunscreen!
I am in my mid 40's and was a heavy 🚬 smoker until a year ago! I also did asphalt/ road construction for over 5 years in my 20's, even though I wore 50 SPF sunscreen, I got way too tan! So alk things considered, my skin still looks pretty good for a woman my age!

I really like the cerave eye repair cream, it's basically the same formulation of the cerave mosturizing cream but with a higher concentration of niacinamide (it's the second ingredient on the list, so good!) than the cream for the face and body, which I personally enjoy because it helps brighten up the eyes. But it's like she said, if you look at the formulation (ingredient list) of an eye cream is usally the same as the face cream of the same line but without fragance, so they're just selling you less product in a different package for marketing and sales pruposes, and for a higher price per onz because they market it as more "luxurious" and "concentrated", but usually it's not the case, so if you switch to a fragance free cream -which you should for your skin health- you really don't need to buy another cream for the eye area, you can just use the same one for the face and the eyes.
