A pure clinic. Karriem one of the masters of jazz drumming at this point.. All the tricks in his bag! Channels Tony Williams, Louis Hayes and Joe Jones without sounding like any of em.
Not only is Karriem's performance legendary, the rest of the quartet has one of the best grasps of No. 3 I've heard. Marcus elliot has such personality on the sax. I am ruined
dude, they need to make a show for music lovers called 'good music' where professional musicians/artists can just come on and jam. Karriem Riggins, Thundercat, Corey Henry...damn, that shit would be amazing
Sorry, no. Karriem just sat in on this one song anyway. This is a document of that band (without Karriem) to check out : marcuselliot.bandcamp.com/album/sonic-refuge
I feel you but Chris Dave is doing his own thing.....the way he uses polyrhythms is nuts!!! And what makes it even more insane is that is fits whatever he playing (he never seems to be overplaying). Karriem Riggins is my favorite living drummer. Seen him play live once at a Common concert in NYC......Karriem is a beast in his own right!!!
Never delete this plz. This is a karriem gem!
every time I watch this video my jazz feel levels up 5%
