Working my way through more 40k characters and I had a few requests for the sneaky and stealthy Kayvaan Skrike so here you go! On the day of painting this guy the new Jump Pack Intercessors were revealed so it's a good time to be painting a jump pack character! Let me know who else you'd like to see in this series, and check who I've already done on the channel as well!

Before he became Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike was Captain of the 3rd company of the Raven Guard. I'm not sure if the red trim is a mistake by a painter or a deliberate refrence to his previous company but his previous model had the red trim on the right sholder pad and no trim on the left.
Hmmmm it is strange.
This model is so beautiful, makes me want to buy one and paint my leviathan space marines like this

when you highlight the whole armour, first with grey and later edge highlight over it with white it makes the model make look a lot cooler. Also, for the weathering u can use little grey sharp thingies and later make a smaller white inside of it. But a very cool model, and the base looks sick
I never bother with edge highlighting but it does add another layer of coolness, very true!
Lovely paint job. Glad the assault jump Marines were revealed the day you chose to paint your miniature. The new Mark III Marines would be a nice project for a future video. Thanks again for sharing.

I love this mini. I've spent ages trying to work out I'd convert it to fit in a Celestial Lions force but I'm still not quite there... yet 😁. Great job as always with your paint job though.

Yeah, Raven Guard are odd when it comes to company markings. Only their right trim is picked out.
Strangely though, Shrike is a Chapter Master but still displays the red of 3rd company which he used to command.
I'd love to do a full Raven Guard force, keep planning to do a combined army featuring Raven Guard and Brazen Minotaurs after the Labyrinth of Sorrows audiodrama and the complete story collection, Sons of Corax.

What green did you use on that bunker wall I need to get some of that perfect color for quick guard! Great video glad to see some of the unused marine characters getting some love!

Very nice job done on him Andy. Have you got any of the aeldari characters left in your pile of shame? Would be interesting to see you tackle one of them, not that I’m an aeldari player but they have a lot of different interesting textures on most of them.
