The whiting king back in his natural habitat. Thank god
Yeah, those huge Cape Cod stripers were kinda overstimulating, don't you think!
What happened to ClickBaiterz guys?
Brant his cape cod episode was epic man
Hahaha trolling king 😄 🤣 😂
Ala. people knows 2 things cousin and roll tide.
Who else likes Matt's videos before they even start?
I would love to take your beach fishing mastery course, but I'm not likely to get to visit my beloved forgotten coast again, due to new health and monetary concerns. I'm watching you, Brant, Bearded Brad, and Cameraman Ron as a substitute for getting to fish the Gulf in person. Keep up the great work and I'll keep watching!
Four horse men make an amazing popping cork. I’ve used them for 5-6 years now. They cast great, sit upright in the water, and you get a good audible “pop”. They’re a little more pricey than other ones but definitely worth the extra dollars in catching more fish.
I’m going through the Salt Strong course and enjoying it! Been a meme er with them for a few years now. So glad when they partnered with you for this course! Was begging them for more surf-fishing content since I joined. Thank you!
I love cork fishing. Yup it's the way I started, but watching a cork is a magical thing. There is a certain kind of thrill you get when you see your bait get excited, maybe coming to the top and getting smashed, and then you see the cork go under. Very special.
Love the beach videos. It looked like so much fun catching all those fish. The popping cork was pretty cool. Really glad you're back on the Beach.
A number of years ago I lived in Truth or Consequences, NM. I fished at Elephant Butte Lake. A gentleman in the church I pastored taught me a technique to catch catfish using a bobber. I had numerous trips where we brought home and cleaned 15 to 20 good sized catfish! I would be honored to show you that technique sometime.
Great video Beach Bum you were really putting them on the sand today nice to see you back in your element and feeding the family you can't ask for any more than that I know you had a blast at Cape Cod but can tell you're happy to have the sand between your toes again👍
Just purchased the Salt Strong Beach Fishing Mastery class. SUPER EXCITED!
I got stoked watching you getting stoked! Great job being super aware and making adjustments on the fly. Love it!💪
I can't begin to tell you how awesome it is to someone who gets excited about kingfish (whiting) like I do! I guide folks on the beach in NJ and during the summer kingies are the main target. They keep the kids hooked up and excited. Best little, tasty fish out there. Thanks for the great videos!
Great video! Any morning on the water is a great morning, especially with the views and then catching some fish just makes it better. I will have to try using a popping cork next time, iv never thought about it. Iv picked up so many new ideas and techniques watching you.
Another great video Matt! I love your videos! Tight lines!🤙🎣
Your excitement is contageous... people are blessed to fish with you... Great Video...
Dude great video once again. Thanks. Can't wait to get back out there.
I'm really happy with your videos and fishing style, especially since you provided information about the fishing rods, lines, and hooks you are using in that video!!! THANKS, A LOT!!!
Great video glad you posted keep them coming thanks
Cajon Thunder is my go-to popping cork. I cut the metal rod through the middle off and replace it with some stiff 100-150 lb mono. There is a little give in the mono so when the live bait get jumpy and leader crosses over the main line it won’t snap it. The 2 haywire twists on the metal pin have sharp edges that will cut your line especially with an aggressive fish.
I'm so glad you finally posted a video using 7ft rods and lighter line , Carolina rig for fun fishing....this is my favorite way to fish, yeah I do the anchor weight 2 drop as well.... but sometimes, the Carolina, with fresh shrimp, is the only rod that gets bites, in my opinion, the best way for beginners, and all fisherman...., great job
I am Glad that you have hooked up with SaltStrong. I fill that they are going to be better for it. your dialogue has gotten better in explaining your equipment and just your all around conversation is better. Congratulation!!!
Live shrimp! Looks like fun! Tight lines from FishHooked 🎣
Love these style videos. Great vid
Finally got the beach fishing mastery course brother! I usually only get to surf fish in OBX Salvo, NC so I am sure it will be very helpful! Thanks so much for what you do! Keep livin the dream brother! Cheers 🍻

Whiting have saved more than one fishing day for me. I've yet to ever eat one but I'm going to have to try next time. They can seriously hit much harder than you would ever expect. I've heard they are delicious. Thanks for another great video!
Matthew really enjoy your excitement! Some really nice Fish, Going back Old school!
Those were some stud whiting! I'm sure they were delicious. Another great video Beach bum. I use a popping cork quite often in the sound at the outer Banks but I've never tried one in the ocean
This was so informative. I'm so glad to see you successful.

I love your story and your videos. Congratulations on your success and wish you all the best!
Thank you!
By far my favorite video. This is more relatable to the gear I have
Awesome video as always Matt. I have not used a popping cork I do primarily my fishing on the East Coast of Florida not very many calm enough days at least in my experience to use that but I definitely plan on shifting over to the West Coast and trying that method. You got me wanting to go right now whiting are definitely a fun fish to fight I agree with you 100%. Thank you again for sharing and keep it up
Yeah man I use a popping cork where I’m at in VA and it works perfectly. With shrimp the speckled bite on it almost every cast when they’re running. Very fun way to fish
That was awesome Bam..love me some whiting..Great video
Hey man Idk when the next time you’re going to be beach fishing with a float but throw an arrow in there so we can see the bobber! One of my favorite things to see is a bobber down!
What is up beach bum man Great vid iam coming down there soon July 2nd what could I look to catch off the piers ive been out of the game with the pier stuff for awhile.😂
Very good video that looks like fun.
THANKS FOR SHARING SUCH AN INTERESTING VIDEO, MY FRIEND. TIGHT LINES... "GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS AND YOUR NEW BUSINESS!
Awesome video man!!!!! Can I put a request in for more Kayak fishing videos lol Love the yak vids. I come to the area every year to fish and we are bringing the kayaks this year.
Live shrimp always work. Fun day for sure. Popping corks do work well. Try it with a gulp shrimp bait also.
Dinner in the cooler.
Always enjoy your videos
never thought of using a poppingcork in the surf will have to try it when I back down South in August
Great video. Those are some big whiting! My personal biggest one was around 14/15. Can’t wait till the next one.
This video reminds me of growing up on the beach in Florida. Cool.
Great video Matt! This might be really fun to try with finger mullet or LYs.
Enjoying your videos, Matthew! I'm a buzz bait bass and rooster tail croppie pond fisherman but would like to do some shore and deep sea one day!! God bless you, brother!
Congrats on your new ventures >---
My husband idolizes you!!! We watch you all the time! Thank you as I have learned so much also. My husband has subscribed to you salt strong classes. He was incapacitated this past May and couldn't fish from April 14 until this week, June 13. Our 30 year anniversary was may 2nd and we couldn't do anything or go anywhere. I suggested we go to Gulf Shores AL. MAY 2023. I would like us to stay on the beach. Do you have any recommendations? We would love to stay over memorial day weekend
Hey Brother! where you fishing down at Fort Morgan in this video? I know the sargassum has been real bad and I headed that way Saturday. Just wondering if it has cleared up.
Can you tell me what format does this course come in. Is it CD, RUclips a flash drive, etc.
Happy we got RUclipsrs in gulf shores fun to watch y’all for real I kinda wanna to start a RUclips
I’m in orange beach this week. Surf was a little rough this morning, hopefully you did better than I did!
Using a popping cork in the surf works great I e seen people do this all the time that’s how we fish in the bays in Texas most of the time fun times right there great video
Setting up for the Power Prong -Dr Juice video!
Best day on the Whiting I was using a Carolina rig. Throw out and let it roll with the current. Caught a 19" 17" 2-16" and a couple 14 to 15" and a 24 inch red.
I was about to ask where Fred was and up he flew! Love your videos Beach Bum!!
Thanks!
Is the Salt strong surf course able to be applied to Texas ? I know our banks and sand bars are very different
I’ve always wondered if I should do this, now I know. Thanks for the video
I don’t know how I haven’t done it myself. Lol
Hey Bama, how long do you fish a spot with no luck before you move onto a different stretch of beach?
I went out for the 1st time surf fishing and I caught maybe 32 or 33 very small whitings. The largest was probably 8" long. Is it because of the time of year that there weren't any larger ones around or or is it because where I was fishing? I was fishing at Chics beach near Virginia Beach.
My god. Haven't even noticed how long your hair has gotten. Looks fire man
Hey Bama, you, Brant, Brad need to come back done to Sanibel and do a vid on a beach erosion and how to fish it. Just want to put that out there cause blind pass is t what it use to be. Major erosion and doest look like it use too.
Just went port Saint joe yesterday..caught bunch hardhead....
Wish I can catch some whiting..nice fish to eat...
need you to try a lemon rig with some live shrimp or bait fish out there on the beach!!
This might be a dumb question but what brand fishing line do you use?
Calling your shot on the trout was 👌
in pensacola right now, only the last 1/3 of the pier doesn’t have seaweed everywhere. and the fish aren’t biting incredibly well
great day with the cork
Nice vidéo bro stay safe from moroco
We fish for whitening like this all time here in central Florida east coast in Melbourne Fl but I never used a float 😀
I’m really surprised that you’ve never used live shrimp in the surf. That has always been probably the most popular method for trout here in Texas. Your water there, is beautiful! 👍🏻👍🏻
Our surf fishing is mostly for whiting and pompano that bite dead shrimp and synthetics (fish bites/fish gum) very well. Most of our other surf fish are pursued with lures. Live shrimp is the most popular bait in the bay though.
Lol I know. It’s just more hassle than lures and other styles of surf fishing. And conditions have to be right for it as well.
I had never used Live shrimp on the beach till a couple weeks ago. Let me tell ya the Big Speckled trout came out to play. My best day yet on Specks. All over 20 inches
I went out yesterday to Bon Secor and tried live shrimp on the Carolina caught only stingrays still had fun as always
Every use slipping Bobbers(OK Same Thing)! Hows the 2' of leader throw off the cast if at all?
I would to see you do a surf fishing on north myrtle Beach. Never have any luck there.
If you don’t mind what beach you fishing we’re going to be in Perdido key at the end of june
