Great review! I run these tires on my RX-8 . I just finished my first season on them with scca autox and nasa HPDE. I just rotated them for the first time. They didnt show any wear to speak of, but I figured I would anyway. Your analysis is spot on! I see at least two full seasons with these tires with mixed use. They were exceptional in the cold rain when I participated in the pro solo scca event in march 2019, Grenada MS. I do my first run as a warm up then put my right pedal down. On a circuit, for time trial purposes, I know exactly where the limit is with these. I feel that the confidence these tires give easily make up time over the re71. A side bonus is that that last forever! I will continue to buy these tires! Thank you for taking your time to post this video!
And people say that the michealins are the only way to go I say they are waaay to expensive just to get toasted in like 20 or 15 hard laps I’d rather lose a little grip and save a couple bucks and have more durability
Thanks for watching today's video! I have many more coming, so post up in the comments what you're looking forward to seeing most: More Prelude content, more Subie build, Type R come back, S2000 build, ZR2 build or 335d ownership updates. I have it all!
Thanks for the video, great commentary! Love your real world feedback on these tires. I have a 2018 Mustang GT and have been looking for a good summer tire that I can daily, yet run on SCCA track days. Its a huge investment since I plan to go with a set of 305/30ZR19 so it means new wheels as well. The stock all season Pirellis were fun for the first time out, but greasy after a couple laps and coat my fenders in rubber globs. Lol Was considering a lot of different brands from the Toyo R888R to the Nitto 555 G2, and I believe these will be the best all around tire.
Honestly, I think these are the best bang for your buck performance tire out there. Grip very well, communicate well and they don't wear out as quickly as other tires.
Would you recommend these hankook rs4’s for my prelude or continental ecs?(extreme contact sport), for touge! I do touge pretty hard but live in the Bay Area so it does tend to get a little cold at night.
I have a fwd focus st with 383 ft/lbs of torque I have trouble putting that power to the ground without spinning. Anything below 30mph I break loose. You think these tires will do me any justice? If not what do you recommend

I would love to see these tires being compared to Nankang NS2R

Would you recommend these for daily useage on a stock Prelude? I love the wide tire look with no stretch.
Hankook's are great tires!
You manifested all this. Kudos.

The RS4 would be my go to choice for sure
@@FlyinGato forsure yea I was agreeing on those as well!
Great content man!
Hi, good video thanks. How long did the RS4's last before they dropped off in grip?
It's been 6 events and they are still doing quite well, I'm very happy with them
Sorry I meant how many minutes or laps before the grip drops off at race pace?
About 4-5 minutes of hard lapping
You turn steering wheel a lot, any upgrade to make more sensitive/less input?
I’d have to change the steering rack for that

These in at least 255 width will definitely help you put the power down. The wider you can go up front the better
Funny thing is I can actually fit a 255 set on these thanks man
What tyre pressure were you using
26psi cold
👀 Type R content 👀😋👌
That's coming soon 👌
