- It's been a crazy week of fishing. Bluefin tuna foamers were seen as close as 2 miles off the Palos Verdes coastline and yellowtail, bluefin, yellowfin adn marlin are biting at the Coronado Islands. Labor Day weekend is going to be wild! Check out this week's report to get all the details! #bloodydecks #SoCalBightReports #BightFishingReport
I went out yesterday and hit the 279, the 209, the 277, and the slide. Saw a little bit of life on a couple of the high spots but nothing would hit lures or lives sardines. Unfortunately the sun didn't come out until about 2:00. So basically I went on a 120 mi boat ride lol
I forgot to mention, the water temps at the 279 and 209 we're almost 70°. They dropped down to about 67°at the 277 and the slide
You should congratulate yourself for a great effort. I’ve spent many suck 120-180 mile trips convincing myself that nothing is biting lol. Keep up the good work and you’ll be rewarded in the long run!
Yeah I know that too well!
Heck yeah Jack….True legend… He helped me land my first marlin the week before
Hell yeah, I've been waiting all day for this!
that foamer stuff just gets me fired up!!
That kid that hooked that foamer bluefin on 1000 size spinning gear had zero chance of landing that fish lol
That’s my buddy Jonathon and that reel is a little bigger than that. He’s actually caught fish to 200 on the same gear. He’s a hell of a fisherman.
Ill spend weekend at Avalon and head out early monday morning, planning on trolling madmacs for tuna. Which way would you go from Avalon?
I went to high school with Jack Rainwater.
I'm going out of san diego I was told we're going out for bluefin
