I was just about to say that. I spent some time in rural africa where people walk around barefoot like this. Their calluses are literally like the sole of a shoe on the bottom of their feet.
1:20 Jeremy figures it out. 1:25 James and Hammond looked at the scene of the disaster, and questioned how. 2 seconds when they noticed the log and the shattered window* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ROFL!!!
1:45 I have so much respect for Hammond for picking up the broken glass pieces to save bare feet people of hurting themselves. Well done mate. True gentleman.

They have them on the grand tour. They did a beach buggy 2 part special on the first season. We have yet to see another one but I'm sure there will be.
God i remember watching the Christmas special early mornings on tv, before everyone else got up and they were the funniest episodes of english television. Top gear was in its prime then
@Seegh Hyle oh yes it's the people looking at the interesting foreigners that are brainless and not the dude that decided to tow a log within sticking range of his window :)
They were looking at the "handbrake", bumper, rear suspension and other things they would have expected to have gone wrong. It wasn't until Jeremy pointed that they looked up ;)
+Evi1M4chine I felt the first season of GT was a little forced but the trio does have a realistic chemistry. If you look at the interviews of James when Jeremy got fired they quit because they didn't want to work without him. They have a bond and it's very visible. Yes there was a lot of scripted BS in the first season of GT but the new one feels relaxed and real. They listened to their audience and made changes to the show. They even did an unscripted episode just because of people like you.
That's only right, isn't it?! Jeremy technically put it there due to his 'shtupidest idea in history'. Props to little Richard though, for noticing the shards on the ground in the first place. He's so tiny, his eyes are closer to the ground! 😂
I Iove how Hammond is generally the first one to ERUPT in laughter, at the nonsense. Yet also he's genuinely so wonderful and considerate and caring Tbh. He's lovely. :3
What would have been staged was when the three of them all stole each other’s parts after this, May stole Hammond’s bonnet scoop to replace the bit that Clarkson cut out to repair the hole that May had made to make his front bumper guard. Hammond stole Jeremy’s car lavatory to replace his bonnet scoop and Jeremy stole Hammond’s back window.
1:27 I love how they’re looking down, not realizing what the Hell they’re supposed to be looking up, until they both look up and Hammond just loses it 😂💀
CosmicSword I replay it for it happening and Jezza's reaction. What is with Jeremy and breaking windows in cars. He broke this one and the one in his Volvo estate with his anarchy flag.
You know, that's what made that show lovely. Those three (ok, with a lot of resource) have fun like we've all had with our friends, our truly ones. It's with cars yes, but look at the laughs... You cannot simply choose some hosts and simulate that kind of bonding. That's friendship.
When I read “brake fail” I didnt expect that to mean a log flying through the back window
Its a next level
Something did brake but not in that way 😂😂
Same haha
I think it serves better as a breaker rather than a braker.
Well, they ARE special, aren't they :')
"Jeremy, people walk around here barefoot" Here is one of the reasons I love Hammond.
There feet are probably like rock because they never wear shoes
I was just about to say that. I spent some time in rural africa where people walk around barefoot like this. Their calluses are literally like the sole of a shoe on the bottom of their feet.
The producer told him to say that.

I miss top gear so much, Jeremy James and Richard, wish you guys could make this show again just the way it was.
They make it on amazon. It`s called "The Grand Tour"
This accident surely wasn't staged. Too small chances to happen in order to try staging it
Only way they could was simply filming him while waiting for something like that to happen.
