the slightest movement with the mouse/trackpad or even a keyboard will cause the system to open 20+ different apps, change setting and just go nuts. If you can't do this you will probably need to open the system in safe mode to make this changes. Lookup your computer and find out how to set it to safe mode.
I had a Dell and a HP with erratic mouse movement, it would move a little and stop then you could move a little again and it would stop, even a wireless mouse done the same, It took me days to figure out this problem. I found it to be the graphics driver, if you disable it in device manger the mouse would work ok, however the cure is to go to the brand of the computer and install the brand of computer correct driver, go to support of dell or HP and any other brand possible . the problem I had was on windows 10 OS and windows puts in a generic driver and this causes erratic mouse. hope this helps some one from spending hours as it did me as nobody that I found had the cure
It depend on a lot more thing also, but anyway, thanks for helping me a bit since my mouse keep going like crazy even click i can missclick it and even dont touch the mouse it keep going around my screen rn
FINALLY!! I almost THREW the stupid computer OUT THE 3rd floor window!! Was going to buy a new one, this was a LAST DITCH EFFORT though other than the mouse it's a great computer. TY TY TY TY!!
My situation is I have another pointer in my case its a drawing tablet. So I found out that the tablet usb interrupts my mouse so I separate both of them apart from the usb extension and plug them on both ends. It solve for me.
I had the same problem with my wireless mouse. I solved the problem by inserting the wireless keyboard/mouse receiver into a different USB port. Perhaps the issue is an motherboard IR mismatch.

I had no configuration problem and I found out later that the problem is caused by the bad power supply generated by my adapter since I plugged my charger in a bad power source
I guess my problem has no solution. My laptop screen just shakes and shakes everything goes blury, but if I put it at sleep for a few seconds the shaking stops. But as soon after a few minutes or seconds everything shakes again, it is really frustrating. I usually don't enjoy playing games or watching no when it is constantly shaking. Ahhh... No. It doesn't work. I've tried 5 different mice. Driver is up to date. Tried using a KVM switch and plugging directly into the laptop's USB port. Tried every conceivable mouse setting in the Control Panel. Moved the speed and then moved it back, just as you suggested. Mouse point still skakes and jitters. My mouse also vibrates when connected to my mobile via an adapter. So the issue is not of settings, rather the hardware.
