    Warren, I'm gobsmacked. ( some would be happy about that ! ) it's almost like these lessons you do are personal to 95% of us. I think your greatest gift is understanding us club golfers who care about our golf and what we go though. Your guidance is spot on with the best delivery. Unlocking my speed the last 10 years has been a challenge to say the least. Appreciate this drill, many thanks.

      Thanks Chris, I really appreciate you taking the time out to message me with your feedback with this drill. I’m really hope it can be of some use to you going forward. I’m sure it will.
      Active shoulders is something that I used to suffer with so I know how tricky it can be, sticking with it and persevering with it is the key, And keeping continuity in your practice and your thoughts to your swing is so important.
      Sending you my best

    All going to plan I’ll be at the range tonight. I’ll be sure to try this out!
    On a side note, my driver is 10.5 degrees. I’m nearly certain it’s to much loft, as I get a lot of height with my drives. I’m going to upgrade my driver soon anyway, so I’ll probably get a custom fit and see if that’s the issue. Thanks for your great advice Warren, I’ve recommended your channel a few times now!

    One added bonus for this drill for those of us here in Texas where it’s 40 degrees Celsius outside 🥵 - this is easy to do inside where there’s air conditioning! 😆 Provided of course you’re a safe distance from the TV or certain family members. 😉 For a guy who has a big shoulder turn, love the idea of using this to build that muscle memory of my hands dropping rather than going outside in. Will add this to my list of at-home (in-home) drills!
    Thanks for the long distance coaching!

    Hello Warren, I was amazed of how much this drill helped me drive the ball. The driver is the most difficult club for me, I'm a very bad driver. I did this drill for ten times and then shot a ball with my driver and the ball went long a quite straight. Now I do the drill a couple of times before I drive the ball. Thank you very much.is for me

    Great video, my fear for avoiding dropping like this has been out of fear of hitting the ground however this drill encourages you to face that fear head on and gain confidence when integrating the feeling into your swing at the same time teaching you to avoid hitting the ground in transition.

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  4 месяца назад

      Hi Phil,
      I understand what you’re saying, but in reality this is only for a split second in transition together with lateral forces it shouldn’t be something that you should worry about.
      Wishing you all the best and any questions please let me know.
      Regards

    I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of this drill because it seems so simple, but I tried this today and my drives were so much better. My course was busy today so I had plenty of time to do this while waiting to tee off. Thanks for the tip!

    Could you do this with all clubs? I imagine an arc around to the back…. if you could figure out the “drop spot” for each club. I’m excited to try this! You could use these drop spots as “targets” in your real swing

    Leaving the back to the target is great for all clubs I have found. It stops me coming over the top. I try to tell myself I'm not trying to hit the ball, I'm trying to execute a swing.

      You can add an element of this to an iron that’s for sure, Put an iron does require less spine tilt than a driver, but no question you can add an element of this.
      Many thanks once again and all the best.
      Warren

    One thing that you seem to do well with the driver is your consistent head position - surely this needs emphasising?

  • @Cajani11
    @Cajani11 4 месяца назад

    I hit 75 gross today at Ealing Golf club using this drill. It’s the best driver drill I’ve ever heard of. Drives were long and straight and flew off the driver face like a bullet. Question: why is this not so good for irons?

    • @warrenbennettgolfacademy
      @warrenbennettgolfacademy  4 месяца назад +1

      Great score that well done, I’m sure the Greens at Ealing are running very quick and smooth, so makes that score even better.
      You can definitely add an element of this to an iron shot, but generally for an iron that needs to be less spin tilt and more covering the ball with your body. But no question you can add an element of this to an iron.
      Thanks for the message and all the best.
      Warren
