You have such a great eye for getting the right cards to add to your collection. A few of these are just beyond stunning to look at. That Red back Ty Cobb is gorgeous as well
I love the Bob Bescher they called him The London Flash. He was from London Ohio close to where I live. This card was my first ever t206 and just happened to be a Polar Bear. I had no idea of the Polar Bear history before I bought it. After doing some research I found out that Polar Bear factory No. 6 1st district Ohio is in Middletown Ohio right down the road from me. Now my goal is to get all the Cincinnati Reds cards from the Polar Bear set. And this led me to your channel. Keep up the good work.
Glad you found my channel and I love your goal around all of the Cincinnati T206 Polar Bear cards. Feel free to reach out if you ever have any questions as well or need help finding one of those cards! -Chris
I snagged my Ty Cobb Red Polar Bear PSA 3 in 2019 for $850. Purchased a PSA 2 Green Ty Cobb that same year for $900. Definitely good purchases in hindsight.
Thank you for sharing your SGC cards. I myself am about to start collecting T206 cards. Been reading and I have the check list of all 500 cards. I know it won't be easy and very expensive down the road. Now my question is you talk about buying raw cards. If you dont mind me asking where did you buy them ? I check ebay but see a lot of re-prints. I do see a lot of graded cards but wondering should I go that route for now until I find real raw cards and not the fake ones? Just wondering for a newbie like myself. Thanks,
eBay is a really good resource for raw cards. As you are newer to T206, I would stick to common players and lower dollar raw cards so that you can get a feel for the cards and understand what to look for as you build out your collection. The one tell in any reprint or someone trying to pass off a fake card as real, is the font on the name. It's always the first thing I look at due to being nearly impossible to replicate today. Feel free to email me at chris@crtsportscards.com if you have any questions about a particular card or just a general question as well.
@@CRTSportscards Thank you very much for replying back so quick. I do have a question on the common cards comment . I will send you an email regarding that. Thank you once again for your help.
@@CRTSportscards I've been collecting SGC/PSA graded T206 Hof'ers for 14 years now. Still have them all. About 15 years ago there was a You Tube Video put out called The Doc and Mr. Mint or visa versa. It's still up. I haven't watched it in a while but, I'm glad I did. Have you ever seen it? It's a must watch. Talks alot about T206 and gives other valuable information that I use today.
I’m looking to start collecting from this set as well. Starting with the Cleveland players. Any recommendations on whether to go with PSA or SGC? They would be for my own personal collection, but I’d like to keep it uniform. Thanks!
Welcome to the pre-war club! At the end of the day, it's just personal preference but I much prefer SGC over PSA as I feel the cards just display and look a lot better in that black slab.
@@CRTSportscardsI was thinking the same thing! I prefer the way they display. What a great mix of cards and history. Excited to start the journey and thank you for your videos, very helpful for newbies lol

Those are great purchases. When I started collecting T206, Cobbs were right at $1k. I should have bought them then!
Nice return man, they look great!
Thanks! Was definitely pleased with the results.
Problem w them narrow cards is putting a showdown chart on them is a pain in the ass.
Overall has Raible total baller.

We need more vintage.
Agreed! Vintage and pre-war are the best IMO!
