      You’re welcome! I never used the wood or wheel chock before this video but I figured I’d show how you can use it. Before having a wireless remote I would use a snatch block or a vehicle.

    I was taught to tape the end. Then add grease or silicone to the end with the tape. For that smooth glide inside.

      I’ve always used tape. Never tried the lube for it though.

    Nicely wrapped winch line 👌🏼 those positive lock hooks are way nicer than the normal clasp hook. We have them on all our wreckers and flatbeds. We get B/A products lines too, but our mechanics do the hook replacements for us operators.

      Yeah those self locking hooks are awesome! I’m definitely going to change mine.

      Yeah we have shifts. I would never work around the clock unless I worked for myself.

    Hi you ever change the clutch on them how difficult is it?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  Год назад +1

      I haven’t changed a clutch on one but they don’t seem to hard to work on. You would have to removed the winch so you can work on it easier and have full access to everything.

    Only other thing id suggest after using the tape, is to grease the set screw and hole with PB or WD40. Reason being is those screws sometimes seized up and it's hell after that to get them out. Unless you go through a lot of winch lines per year, ijs😂😅

      😂 it was smooth but I know what you mean. I’ve dealt with some that were stuck and wouldn’t want to unscrew.

    Where do you buy your winch cables my brother ?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  2 года назад +1

      There’s a few places you can order them from. Amazon has the one I had prior to the new one. amzn.to/3LfY4i7
      This one has a fiber core but they also have a steel core as well.

    looks like ya got a small short cable there. not pulling much out that's far away with that 50 foot China cable there. should of gotten a 150 USA made cable to fill up the drum to max capacity 25% there bud. you should be able to fit 3 maybe 4 row on that spool for 3/8" cable.

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  Месяц назад

      @@jeromyw385xp no need for all of that cable for the work I was doing. If I needed more I could’ve used the extension ropes or chains.

      @TowMan127 well someday you'll need that extra cable for a job and you'll be kicking yourself when it happens because you can't do the work because you didn't upgrade to a longer cable. glad I got a full spool on my winch.

    • @TowMan127

      @ not an issue if you carry extra cable or rope
