Those clear plastic heels are cute until you wear them and your feet start to sweat 🤪. I wore them for New Year’s eve 2019 and everyone made fun of me when my shoes started to fog up. NEVER AGAIN!
Angella Walker Ditto! These days anything goes. Personally, i’m not into Silk Shirts, whether in style or not. Specially that style with the front bow that she had on. I think all silk shirts look great on seniors, but that’s about it. Nonetheless, in style or not... I’ll wear what I feel good in!
I love the point you made about sizing. I'm subscribed to this London based RUclipsr and instead of saying "I'm a size [blank]" she says "I took a size [blank]". I feel like it makes so much more sense!
I agree with everything except for the clear shoes: plastic keep your feet freezing in winter and super sweaty in Summer, it's a non perspiring material and makes the skin yellowish.
The "No white after labour day" has never been a rule in France, thank goodness (I'm French)! Plastic shoes have always looked cheap to me, no matter how expensive they are, and they do not flatter the feet (skin and toes flattened against the plastic are not really esthetic). I like mixing navy and black, brown and black, also brown and navy (navy jeans with a brown leather jacket or tan shoes, a navy dress with tan accessories etc).
I think the “don’t wear navy and black together” rule was geared towards those super dark blues that almost look black. And then when you step outside you can tell they’re different colors and then it just looks like you have a faded black item (when it’s really navy).
So you like petroleum products, instead? Not me. I'm no vegan, and a lot of leather products are a byproduct of the meat industry. If the hides weren't used, then they would just go to waste. What, do think they kill a whole cow just for the hide? That would be seriously cost inefficient. Give me natural products.
E Dennis It’s not quite like that. Cows are raised separately for their leather, it’s not a byproduct of the milk/dairy industry. There is a great movie called “earthlings” that explains that.
High waisted pants/jeans totally depends on your body type. If you have a long waist and short legs, then high waisted makes sense to lengthen your legs. I have a short waist and long legs and high waisted pants don’t suit me...mid-rise is a happy medium. It’s all about proportions. 😊
Same! Low rise jeans actually looked GREAT on me. NOW, that was before I had a baby so today I wouldn't want so much tummy exposed. But, it really depends on individual bodies.
#4 is my favorite on the list...I just was talking to my husband about this, this morning. I normally wear a large but my favorite shirt is xxl because it was cheap and I wanted it to be baggy and wanted to be able to dry it in the dryer and not care if it’s shrinks. Wear what looks good on you, not only size. Look in the mirror people.
I prefer the rule of the French women: never mix your metals 😉 Instead stick to what suits the undertone of your skin best. If the undertone is warm (greenish looking vains) go for gold, if your have a cool undertone (vains look more blueish) opt for silver. Of course some lucky girls are neutral (not clearly one or the other) and indeed can mix their metals.
The reason why people can’t tell faux leather from real leather is because most people have never had any quality leather in the first place. Even expensive brands tend to use crappy leather. When you compare faux leather with top quality real leather the difference is obvious. Faux leather also doesn’t age well at all. Real leather develops a love.y patina over time. Faux leather doesn’t. Over time it starts cracking, peeling, gets discoloured, and just turns to sh*t. It’s fine if you want it for one season or two, but it’s not gonna last. There are leather jackets from the 80’s and 90’s or even earlier that can be refurbished and still worn today.
I think even lower quality leather tops fake leather all day. Fake leather never doesn’t feel like you’re wearing a vinyl diner booth seat. It isn’t as warm as real leather either. And the real leather vintage patina is so killer. I love vintage leather.
Also, can we talk about how PVC is being greenwashed and advertised as "vegan leather" in recent times, even though it has been around for years and isn't the slightest bit biodegradable? Just get a vintage/thrifted real leather jacket, that doesn't increase the demand for killing more animals either and there are thousands of worn real leather jackets being sold online. It's better for the environment on all accounts.
So true! The goes for silk too! People can't tell the difference between silk and satin because they have never seen true silk. Anyway, faux leather is ugly especially in shoes.
Amanda VandeWalle some silk shirts go into the thousands, I think what she is trying to say is that you don’t have to pay that for fantastic silk quality...

we talk fair trade silk. Would you prefer children work and 30,00 bucks silk blouse? If this is your way of saving...also not everybody wants to put on their body clothes somebody else wore

My problem with high waisted jeans is that when you have a large bust and tuck in your shirt then you look all chest. It really depends on your body type
Yes, I am also short waisted (with big boobs) so I really have to be careful. However, I do like some high waisted pants. I think it depends on the brand and just how high they are!

I have a question regarding jewellery colour. I'm a Spring and have been told that gold should be my jewellery choice. I loved your comment regarding black and brown together. It reminded me of a comment Joan Rivers said on The Shopping Channel: " Doberman and Rottweiler do it and look good". Ha ha only Joan can say that.
I have a pair of black patene leather high heel schools for 10 years now and they're still in style. Nothing feels better on your feet then a good broken in shoe..
Very interesting to hear your opinion on mixing metals. I have a white gold engagement ring but a yellow gold wedding ring. I wear them on different hands but I was always unsure.
People who think high waisted jeans or bottoms in general look bad, what do you wear? It's not leaving my mind since the video came out. And I don't understand.
I always tell the shoppers I work with that the size listed on the article of clothing is just a label the manufacturer put there to define *it* - that label/number/size does not define *you.*

Ahhh that makes more sense. If I have a blue on blue option I'll go for that, but if I only have black jeans for example I won't stress over it

First like! Even before watching the video 😁
You're the best!
Omg thank you so much! I’ve been needing most of these items, especially a blouse, pillow case, and #1 Silk night gown!!
I love Miranda Frye's jewelry! I own about 7 pieces including the Love charm you wore in this video.
Very interesting to hear your opinion on mixing metals. I have a white gold engagement ring but a yellow gold wedding ring. I wear them on different hands but I was always unsure.
Every time you show a blazer in your videos, I’m in love. What are some brands you get your blazers from?
As always I. Totally agree with everything. Especially mixing colours... I mean everything can look great together if we'll thought
I'm so glad!! Thank you so much Sara!
I spent the whole video waiting for mixing brown and black😂 I was afraid she wouldn’t mention it
Hahaha I saved the best for last!!
We should follow these rules.. even I Wear whatever I like.. but sometimes it might help us...
People who think high waisted jeans or bottoms in general look bad, what do you wear? It's not leaving my mind since the video came out. And I don't understand.
Yasmin low rise or mid rise. I have a short torso
I love you and your videos! I've been watching you non stop! ❤️❤️❤️
Shea! Could you please do a Vova haul? Or Shein? I've already had a few from Shein, it is soooo good and cheap! But I dont know about Vova yet❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ahh got to comment early!
Love breaking the fashion rules!
Yes they're the best rules to break!
Love your content 😍
Glad you enjoy it! Much love to you!!
I think the navy shirt you’re wearing in this video would look great with black high waisted jeans or black dress pants!
I always tell the shoppers I work with that the size listed on the article of clothing is just a label the manufacturer put there to define *it* - that label/number/size does not define *you.*
