All the other videos kill me with them saying diy closets when it's just them buying Ikea closets that's there putting together their selfs this is actually a diy thank u
Yes, and the other side of the spectrum is the “DIY” closet that takes them 3 weeks and $1,000 worth of tools. This is the first real DIY closet build I’ve found.
It’s crazy. This is by far the most helpful video I’ve found. You got straight to the point, no man in sight which makes me feel empowered to do it myself, no complaining, didn’t take more than 1 day and then the editing of this video paired with your voice and calm spirit. The more elaborate closet systems cost a mortgage or make you feel like you’re in an AP math class with all of the dimensions. Can’t thank you enough. But thank you. ❤️
This is fantastic, especially since you're showing a real closet, not a tiny bedroom that gets turned into a boutique. My house has only reach-in closets, but three were customized with shelves. My closet wasn't, so I bought mobile units and I don't like the way they look. This is definitely going to be a saved video. Thank you so much!
Thank you for this! Everyone I’ve watched made it seem like it was so hard to do this but you showed that it’s not! I have a much bigger space to work on but this video gave me hope! The materials you used are the best part! I’m going to start planning out my new closet!
Honey! Let me tell you that you save me! I am dealing with this closet dilemma and your idea it come like the perfect answer. Thank you and blessings for you!❤❤
Omg i think i have found the best DIY closet organizer video. This is what i needed as a beginner that has to go to Home Depot to get the wood cut. I really appreciate you. Clicked on the website bcuz i needed to actually read the list n u made it as simple as possible. Thank You So Much ❤️🥰
This is such an easy to follow video for a non builder like myself, Thank you! In so many other videos they have all these gadgets and full workshops and I don’t even know where to begin.
nice job! not only does it look way nicer but also more functional. and the identical hangers and baskets add to the clean look. also, the price point is amazing.
Turning the Stupid Sliding Doors into proper Doors: *Absolutely Brilliant* Using Painter's Tape like a "ChalkLine": *EVEN MORE BRILLIANT* You Lady DIY'ers are worth your weight in gold. Most Men (Myself 1000% included) just cannot think "outside the box" the way y'all do. BIG BIG Thank you for taking the time to do this video!
Great job and everyone is so right. You empowered me as a women to know i too can build what i want and saves hundreds of dollars. Thank so much for sharing your time and efforts. Great job.
I just love you… You did such a great job and you’re starting so young. You remind me of myself keep up the good work and always work smarter not harder. I sure wish I had. GREAT VIDEO ❤️
I don't have a closet but a wall in my laundry rm I'm wanting to create a closet space along the wall if that makes sense. Thank u sm for the wood idea I didn't know it existed! 🤪 I'm on a small budget so any way I can cut cost w/o making it look cheap I'm all 4 it. Thanks again cheers to DIY ladies
This has really helped me! I have about the same size space in my bedroom and i want to have a built in wardrobe there but having seen how expensive bespoke ones are (really don't understand as the materials aren't that expensive and it would take a day to fit so i can't understand someone charging more than £500 for the labour) i want to try making it myself. This is simple enough to understand and thats exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much ❤
This was great! My wife wants an "Oasis" in her closet space, but I nearly choked on pricing when we shopped it around. Your approach keeps things reasonable, modular and I love the Blue Tape outline so we can adjust our organization. Nice work, Lady, and thanks!
Yes! Finally found what I didn’t know I needed. I bought a closetmaid system that works well but doesn’t look anything like this amazing DIY. I’m building the next closet instead. I found you searching closet doors diy and I love it too. Thank you for uploading these diys! 🎉
Love the tip of using painters tape to visualize and get a feel for where everything will be! I was kinda paralyzed in the planning phase worried my drawings wouldn't feel right when built
I was able to reuse the closet rod that was already in my closet and cut it into two smaller pieces. But if you need to buy a closet rod, a 1.25″ round dowel works perfectly. Here is my affiliate link for home depot www.homedepot.com/p/6420U-1-1-4-in-x-1-1-4-in-x-48-in-Hardwood-Round-Dowel-10001811/203334072?irgwc=1&cm_mmc=afl-ir-116548-456723-&clickid=TCbxM9Q9QxyNR-1wVWxS3SzcUkF2l8wxyXJGQo0
Saw a similar design of this in a new built house when delivering cabinets and they had built some hallway storage wall shelves with the ladder style open closet. These are awesome. Plus, nothing more badass than a woman that can not only read a tape measure, but can do all of the wood working with finesse.
Hi, great straightforward video, thank you! Just one question, what would be the second best way to attach each piece without the use of pocket holes please? Thank you
Woah! I feel so much better about my upcoming closet reno, you broke that down in a way that makes perfect since to me, unlike how my husband tried to explain the process lol. Thank you!
my closet is much tinier then this but this helped so much on how to start. i really liked the tape on the wall to give you an idea before starting. thank you for this
Thank you for the inspiration. This may be a stupid question, but how do you secure the MDF to the wall? I'm thinking if a kid tugs on it, it'll come down? Maybe I'm missing something.
At 3:50 she adds end boards that are secured to the wall. You can secure the top board to these from the top down. For more support you can add L brackets to the top board and wall. Make sure to find a stud.
I might actually do this one! It seems like it’s actually doable! Everything else I’ve seen was pricey or just seem too involved. I’m saving this video, thanks so much for sharing your process. Can’t like this enough.
After looking for something easy to follow up the directions you are awesome . Not everyone can afford a fancy closet you made it possible to do something very nice thx 🙏🏼 🥰🥰🥰

The taping really just made everything so simple

Thank you - my goal was to make this video actually useful! And yes, you 100% don't need a man's help - anyone can do this!
Get it girl!! Did you actually try it though? How did it come out for you?
Couldn't agree more @slaylord focker!
I knew you were a black woman as soon as you said no man in sight... as if a woman can't build anything, for the record she said OUR closet catlady...
