This video was so very helpful! I’m sure it saved me hours. The vinegar Windex works great.

This video was extremely helpful to me as I had finished putting on primer, 2 coats of latex white on a new wooden door with glass panes, and was wondering how I was going to remove the plastic. Good job!

So we have a door like this and we mostly peeled it off but around the edges there’s plastic that’s very hard to pull off. Any recommendations?

Looks easy. However, I have a sliding glass door facing west that have had the film on for maybe 15 years. I have used a hair dryer to help remove the film and some Windex with ammonia, but it has been a challenge!

I build a house last year, I forgot to peel off the protective film and now it has hardened and really stuck to the fiberglass. It’s not a plastic protective film like in your demo video here. It’s a paper sticky ones. Can I use the same recommended product here, windex with vinegar?
I got frustrated and left it because oil or water was not working. Now it’s a little over a year and it looks ugly. Please help.

Do you think the vinegar windex would work with a door that has been sprayed with house paint and not primer

we've had our house for about 6 years now and we forgot to take off the protective film on our door. Now its hard and stuck to the glass. Can I use what you did or do I do something else? Please help.

@@normapajares7995 Yes, try the vinegar based Windex solution. You may need to leave it on for a few minutes to let it soften the film before peeling. IMO this is still the best method we can find.

Mercy, just tell me how to get the film off. It shouldn't take 14 minutes to do that.

Protecta film is quite possibly the worst invention in history. It’s quicker and easier to tape the window yourself. 1/10 product and that’s being generous
