The wrappers will vary in weight. Sometimes the code cardes will too. So if you get a pack from a different batch, it'll read as read as light when it's normal for the batch.

Try this method. Try and feel the width of the pack with your index finger and thumb. I tried this with around 12 packs. Put the three I thought were thicker by touch last and had two hits out of the three. My mind might of been playing tricks on me but I swear I can even feel a thickness different in some cards. Even if it’s the same card. Lol
Also some packs glow in the dark under a black light or blue light. Maybe the glow in the dark packs also effect weight. And to add to the theories about it. I’ve noticed PokeRev pull charizard ex’s that look different and it happened a lot so I’m curious if they intentionally had faded looking cards so throw off weights.
