Even if his voice has changed you cannot deny the happiness all his songs have made us feel as far as I'm concerned he can still sing and make us all feel better
his voice sounds perfect in my head... like in early 70s. time no past for this leyend, none of US could sing even like nowadays paul , what a piece of genious
Yes Sir Paul McCartney's voice is not that strong anymore but please remember he is 82 years old the singing voice does change over the years, plus Sir Paul McCartney knows nothing more to in his life to entertain people all over the world with his wonderful music which has been doing since he was a teenager. People should need to more thankful Sir Paul McCartney is still with us God bless him.
It doesn't matter because it's The Paul McCartney, we all get old! I am just glad to see him Performing and he is doing great for his Age Cheers to you Paul 👍
Thanks for the run through of the concert. Will have to see if I can track down some of it to watch. I'm not catching the tour this time. Have not seen him live for a while now. Partly because I want to remember him in his prime but also because buying tickets these days is generally a bit of a nightmare and very expensive! Nice to see him doing Now and Then. I'm sure that will be a very emotional moment, so look forward to your review when you get to see him in December (on my wedding anniversary incidentally!) I'm with you on a few of his recent song choices. In the main I can understand him majoring on the Beatles. He is entitled, and I am sure that the audience will not be complaining. Come On To Me is not one of his triumphs in my opinion. I would have left that one in the vault. Mind you, he did manage to sink lower than that with Fuh You! Anyway, minor moans aside, I hope that you have a really good time at the gig. As you rightly say, it is very special to be there. Nothing else matters. Good news about the Bangladesh update. I am sure Peter Jackson will not be leaving huge amounts on the cutting room floor. Let's hope for a nice extended version or at least a lot of extras on the dvd/blu-ray. Rumour has it that there is more Mind Games coming on his birthday. Fingers crossed for something really nice. Looking forward to your review of the Meditation mixes. I would have gone for this on CD. The vinyl does look very nice but it is very expensive and not my format choice these days. If you get chance could you advise what the total music time of the set is. I think that some of the tracks are quite lengthy. Cheers again for the updates. You are doing a splendid job.
This is one of Paul McCartney's best song and a tough one to sing. His voice is going but at 81 what do you expect? that Gemini is going to keep going because Gemini's never get old. If you compare Paul to Mick Jagger, Jaggers voice is perfect for the blues, the older and rougher the better. Paul alwyas had a beautiful big range tenor. Love you Paul.
Thanks for sharing. Would you have the entire performance to upload? Thus far about 1/3 of the show is available on video. Thanks again for your kindness.
I went back in forth in my head for a few minutes. No, his voice isn't the same. Yes you can hear the age pretty clearly. Ultimately though, I'm glad he's still doing it and that he's not lipsyncing.
@@hollybeat6901 it's understandable his in his 80s and this is a very hard song to sing. No shame in tailoring your set list to your age and capabilities.
This song is extremely hard to sing. Some of todays most popular singers in their prime wouldn't be able to sing it. So yes, it wouldn't be a shame for Paul to drop it from the setlist.
The sad truth is, he can't sing at all anymore. Any songs, really. It's painful to see what age does to people. Even so, until the day he dies, he's going to get all the attention and accolades he deserves. He's a Beatle, the most successful pop band to ever exist, on multiple levels. Getting old just sucks.
@@craig162 Lol junior, no...truth does not offend me at all. What does bother me is why you are making a big deal about it. It's a concert lead by an 82 year old legend, it's to be expected. But that's not enough for a petty person like yourself, who can only harp on the negative. Why not focus instead on the fact that it's amazing McCartney is even still doing this at this point in his life? Nah, that wouldn't get you enough attention...right?
I suppose the punters are there to see a legend and the vocal wibbles are a mere trifle. Must be a bit galling that Jagger seems undiminished after all these years. The song will always be one of the greatest ever though
Jagger's catalogue was never adventurous vocally. McCartney has pulled off thousands of gigs in very good shape for over 40 years and only in the last 10 his voice caught up with his actual age. I love Mick to death but there's no comparison at all. Ringo sounds "the same" too. Pretty easy when you never go above your bridges. McCartney's voice was one of the most chamaleonic and prolifics instruments in popular music for decades.
I would imagine that he still kind of hopes that he can do it. That's gotta be tough to face. What's odd is that the higher, screamier parts sound pretty good. He doesn't miss any of those notes. It's the lower parts where his voice has a hard time. Damn aging anyway.
@@brywool Aging, overuse of his voice, too much smoking of both tobacco and cannabis over too many years-I love Paul's voice and perhaps if he did bring it down a bit his voice wouldn't break so much. Paul still hits the higher notes! Though not the lower ones! But its not a problem!
He can do the main chorus perfect but the start his voice was cracking. Still sounds good though
Amazing😢
AY AY AY!
this song is one of his bests no doubt

Jagger's had the same three note range since '65, he's just very lucky.

why not just drop the key? i dont get it
Stubborn I guess. He can still sing, just at a lower range now. Don’t really get it either
Alot of chord changes over playing it in the same key for 50 years. Too much work for Paul at his age I guess.
