All I wanna say is you've literally saved my life and made everything so much easy to understand. What I couldn't understand in lectures (lectures that were 1/2 hours long) I could understand it in all of your videos in just under/around 20 min.... You can separate smaller DNA molecules (few hundreds base pairs) by PAGE. The producers of the ladders often show scheme of fragment separation in both, agarose and polyacrylamide gels. For example GeneRuler 100bp plus DNA ladder from Thermo Fisher, which is up to 3000 bp, has the scheme of separation in 5% polyacrylamide gel. So, in some specific cases, polyacrylamide gel is used for DNA separation, especially after the PCR amplification.
