I got the paradox last year and I love it. Very accurate consistently and very solid back wall with a real smooth draw cycle, does have the hand vibration but it's sort of a budget bow so I'm not dissatisfied. I would highly recommend it although I'm sure most of the bows they make are very nice as well.
I just got a Bear Adapt and I absolutely love that bow. I think I’m going to get the Legend xr next….tried the execute 30 and it was very nice but I’m done paying high priced for the flagship bows. High end and mid price bows, they all kill deer
Have always wanted to learn Archery , this may be the year 😊 I’m a 58 year old , have never shot a bow , any practical advice on how , and where to start .
man if your just getting into it the low end offerings by bear are a great option. you get a hell of a bow for the money your gonna pay and they are great models to still experience high performance with. its very difficult to find a bow with all you need to start out already one it for less then 800 bucks. most of bears ready to hunt packages sit at like 500 bucks I harvested 3 elk with my "budget" bow and it performed amazingly well for me all the way out to 60 and 70 yards IF 500 bucks is still too much for you Id suggest sanlidas dragon x8. its about 220 bucks and also comes with everything you need to start shooting the day it arrives. I got one for my girlfriend originally and it shot very well for being as cheap as it was. personally id suggest a bear RTH package though over sanlida if you actually intend to get out into the woods to hunt. not everyone hunts but its always good to have that option out the gate if you wanted too.
I have a species and I love my bow. had it for about a year now. I think I'm going to get the XR and just throw my sight and stabilizer from the species on it for now. Or just save up and do the same with the Execute tbh. idk yet lol. feel like bear is slept on in general btw.... ppl just like/want what's popular but hey, to each their own.
I bought a mathews phase 4 29 this time around and I almost feel like i betrayed bear. I wish my pro shop had carried bears flagship though I shot a bear legit for 3 years and it was a fabulous bow for its price. I would be very eager to see what there flagship felt like. I passed my bear down to my girlfriend due to how adjustable it is and im sure shes gonna love it as much as i did.
I don’t know why Bear wouldn’t have a bushing on the lowest back bar tap. They have one above and in front. Bear has been impressing the hell out of me last couple years. They are catching up scary fast , Bear has always been a legend company but imo they always had grip punch. The only thing they could fix is hand vibe. They are certainly mastering it
@@axxionman69 Hand shock. My grip hand from my old bear cruzer after shooting a few dozen shots or so my hand felt slightly sore along with my elbow . Felt like I held my hand up and let someone hit it.
Superb, just wondering about the XR, Btw what is the model of the counter weight?(front stabiliser) Looks great and should feel like it! Thanks for knowledge 😊
Realy like the legend xr. I am a new shooter from the netherlands. Will this be a good bow for target en 3d shooting. I like the 32 inch axel to axel. Think need to upgrade the sight and stabeliser. But overall i think this is a great first bow for the money
Im still with my bear leagin 2012 looking for new bow think im better with the 500buck bow. Have everything else blackgold hunter 3 pin carbon stabilizer and still like my biscuit
Yeah but how heavy are they? Seems to be a key point that reviews rarely cover. Most of these new bows are 4.5 plus lbs bare with most manufacturers. So that leaves me a 5.5lb plus bow at least pending accessories. I maybe I need to start doing heavier shoulder raises lol but I think I’ll stick with my Bear Motive 6.
@@LancasterArcherySupply thanks for the reply! My concern is that I can't draw 55 pounds. I started not long ago with recurve and right now I'm at 25 pounds. I am sure that I can draw 30 or a bit more pounds but the question is, can I reach that poundage with my draw length on a compound bow like the Bear Legend XR?
@@LancasterArcherySupply ah, that's great! I thought with this bow it's dependent on your draw length how low you can get. When I can start with eg 30 pounds at any draw length, I'm very intrigued to get this bow. Thank you for your explanations!
Weird how the Legend XR is an economy-priced bow with wide adjustment range for the entire family is a hard to find, non-mail order, non-big box store, pro shop only bow. Terrible marketing. Yet the more upscale and much more expensive Bear Escalate is NOT a pro shop bow and can be conveniently ordered online with good availability and color options. Makes no sense to me. People are buying stuff online. Get with the times Bear Archery!
As a shorter archer, I find it pretty disappointing that hardly anyone other than PSE releases a flagship with a long cam and a short cam. Paying premium to get the worst performance of the cam is a bitter pill.
One of the greatest bow techs I ever met , jay James is working for bear now , hey jay and bear , how about hooking me up with a target bow at least 38 ATA ??? I been shooting over 50 , my first 3 bows were bears, remember the one with suction cup arrows , I took em off and sharpened them in my pencil sharpener, my next was that famous red bow , eventually I strung it backwards to make it a recurve lol , that shows the quality of the bow , it lasted years , then I moved up to a 35 pounder hunter , Oh My GOD ! ! ! 😄 that’s when I knew for sure I was an archer for life lol, 30 plus years later I’m still at it . I got many inventions for bows, arrows , broadheads , equipment, accessories, etc. , 90% still remains a secret to me , some a few has come out , just a few , if I had backers , we stand to make billions !!!
I got the execute 30 bow and I love it. Much smoother draw than any Hoyt I’ve ever owned. I’m keeping this bow for life.. Try it, you won’t regret it.
Great Video Discussion, on two great choices from Bear, I was liking the Legend, may have to look at the Execute as well. Thx for makin the video!💯
My 1st bow was a Bear 25 years ago. I just might be going back to them this year.
Mine as well I'm also thinking of going back to bear as well
Thinking of the adapt.

Nice bows and great review PJ

I will be giving both these bows serious thought. My Halon 32 is great, but it’s almost that time for something new😁
Bear needs thicker axles a better riser finish and a straight limb design other than that bear is coming along quite nice

What is "grip punch" ?

Wish it was a 31.5 draw length I’d definitely scoop one

The adjustable let off is super nice. I just wonder how do you tune the bow?
Com on bear we need 80# range!

Penn dutch represent
Are either available in a left handed version?
Yes
Does the Legend XR have 1/2" draw length adjustments? Or is it full inch adjustments?
Is there much difference between 3030 XOXO and 3232 axle to axle? Is there really much difference for someone like me at 5’6” tall
Not much difference...but noticeable. At 5'6", I'm pretty sure either would work for you.
🎉
Are these single cams or double cams
Both dual cams
How much can you drop the draw weight when you have a draw length of 29 or 30 but keeping it effective for 3d archery?
If you change arrows, you can get to max speed for 3D at that draw length shooting 55-60 pounds. You just have to have light arrows.....

Are the limb pockets metal or polymer?
All of bears bows have metal limb pockets
I have also hear they are machined and not cast
Can you shoot competition with both bows ?
Yes, but the longer bows will feel more stable.
ArcheryGB don't allow camo on the line, and 60lbs max draw but there is nothing stopping you shooting a short axle to axle.

I agree brother
I don’t like how the limbs taper down to a small square shape into the pocket. Doesn’t seem super stable to me.
