Great video! I appreciate the encouragement to keep trying to find ways to use the products we've already bought. I have super oily skin and never thought that I would like cream blushes. But in the winter time when my skin is dryer, I'm appreciating their value. I understand now what all the hype is about because they're more long-wearing especially if you apply powder blush over top. I get all day cheek color now. I felt the same way about the elf putty blushes when I bought them in the summer that it was a mistake because I was too oily. Now I'm loving them.
I love the poreless putty primer! But I strategically place it only in my T-zone and I do more of a patting or press and roll w/my fingers, and it does great. I’ve never noticed my base makeup sliding or separating. Great video as usual Kelly, you’re beautiful every time you come on here 💋💄👏🏻❤️
I love this video. I experienced something similar recently where I was trying to finish my Westman Atelier stick foundation. I haven’t been using it because I find it really hard to blend out but I used a brush today to pick up the product and it definitely looked way better. And now I feel like I might actually be able to finish it, instead of letting it go to waste. Thanks, Kelly!
I just did this with the Elf cream bronzer. It really didn't last long on my skin. I was going to declutter it after it sat unused for months. I decided to try it again and it's as if it dried out a bit and now it lasts all day on me! I couldn't believe it! Such a great idea for a video!
I did that with the L’Oreal Age Perfect 4 in 1 Tinted Balm. The first time I used it I used it with a sponge and I didn’t like it all. It had barely any coverage and the coverage I did get looked splotchy and it felt oily to me. I was just like “I don’t get the hype”. I put it away and was going to give it to my daughter who has dry skin and likes the clean girl look. Well, a couple of months later I was looking through my makeup (just wanting to experiment with an eye look I had seen on RUclips) and I saw the balm. I had already forgotten why I didn’t like it 😂. But this time I put it on with a brush and oh man!! I fell in love with it!! I got the coverage I wanted and it was beautiful!! Plus I had started using retin A so now my skin was dryer. It’s my favorite foundation right now!! The way you apply it can really make all the difference. I just wanted to add that I use the putty primer under my eyes to help smooth out creases and wrinkles. It works great for that under the eyes.
This may be an unpopular opinion but I've never thought Luminoso had much pigment to begin with. For reference, I'm a medium to medium tan skin tone. Maybe it's a personal preference but Luminoso is a product that mostly just gives me glow but no pigment. I actually love it as more of a blush topper as opposed to an actual blush. So I'm not really surprised the liquid version is so sheer because that's what the baked version has always felt like to me.
I'm light-plus, and on me the Luminoso liquid (as a highlight) looks like the powder on you! The pigment completely blends out and I only get sparkles (not my desired look at 46). I was so disappointed! I do love the powder blush, but even that is definitely a lit-from-within look on me rather than a strong color.
I love that liquid blush mixed in with a liquid blush that is more pigmented, I used Rare Beauty. Could also do it with a liquid lipstick even. Creates a CT Pinkgasm-esque effect. X
I do something similar to the K-beauty spatula with the NYX silicone sponge. I will use that to spread foundation out into a thin layer, then use a brush/sponge to blend out. It helps me use less product.
Similarly i have the colourpop hyaluronic tinted moisturizer... and never loved it, didnt hate it either just felt meh, then I tried it over a really hydrating primer like the glow recipe dew drops etc, and now im like omg beautiful!!! It is fun to play around with things that arent just right and find combos that make them transform into the best thing ever.
A lot of influencers do first impression and we never see the product again. Thank you for doing this type of video. Some of my favorite products I wasn’t impressed on first try
Excellent video, Kelly! So glad you did this. I, too, have spent good money on a product and then it didn't work as I expected. Reframing our thinking about how to use a product makes sense. Now I can go back to some of my products that I have tucked away and will try them again using the mindset that you suggested. Thanks.
I have rediscovered so many products when I use them in various project pan projects. It forces me to get to know a product I may have had in a graveyard.
For those fellow ph-changing lovers on a budget, the LA Colors Pout Potions at Dollar Tree have the softest pink results, and because the 3 scents, 🍋 🍉 🍇, all form different depths of pink, you can actually contour with the 3 soft pinks.
@@EnvyBlu I just find it causes my foundations (oil, water , silicone or emulsion) to separate tried it with high end and drugstore its a shame but here in the uk we have a brand called collection it has one similar which is cheaper and better formula
I don't know if I have ever applied cream products directly to my face. I thought that was just a thing for click bait lol. I always apply the product to the back of my hand then pick up the product with a sponge or brush from there.
I would always recommend a separate sunscreen with the Saie. It would be almost impossible to get proper sun protection otherwise because you would have to wear SO much of it.
Unpopular opinion, nearly every foundation I use needs to be applied with my fingers or it either looks too sheer, too heavy or those dreaded brush strokes. Perhaps I’m doing something wrong when I use a sponge/brush?
I appreciate this approach to explaining how little changes can make a difference in the completed look.

Thanks for clearly explaining how to apply the putty primer. I need to take mine back out and use it the way you explained!
Let me know what you think!!

Great suggestion for the eyes, I'll try it! And I've been looking for that L'Oreal foundation everywhere, can't find it😕
I love this foundation! 😀 Glad to see someone else loving it too!
I love this idea! thanks Kelly, you always make my morning a bit brighter :)
I would love to see a hair styling video where you show how to conceal wispy bangs. Your hair is super cute either way!

I have the old version gross yeah yeah, I am light but it shows up really well on me. Now I’m wondering if the new formula is not as good?

I do like the elf putty primer now. I didn’t at first but like you said once you figure out how it works the best it is a good product.

so happy to hear you're been loving Kiss + Bubble so much lately 💗🥰
Omg I agree with the putty primer technique - I put too much today and it separated but last week I used so little and it looked amazing

I love my it cosmetics gloss that pH changes!
I love this video idea! Thanks for the tips. 💛🌻💛🌻
💖Love your channel! Your videos are always informative, with great details.
I love these videos 😄I absolutely have products that I've changed mind about.
The piccasso spatula is on sale at Olive Young rn ! I’d love to see you try some kbeauty products!
Haha I definitely still think pH changing products turn into the ugliest shade of pink 😂
Me too!!
Right? Why not just get a pink gloss 😩😂 there are so many.
I'm not a fan of ph products too. I just don't think it's a lot of people's style
They were ugly in the 90s and I'm not any more of a fan now
What I find funny is that there's no change to perfect shade science. It's 1 color, anything below a certain pH will cause the color to change.
Thanks Kelly
I used to hate the elf luminous putty primer but I like it now , found a way to apply it lol.
I have rediscovered so many products when I use them in various project pan projects. It forces me to get to know a product I may have had in a graveyard.

No use on spending any more because all the ph items turn the same shade of pink
I cant lie the elf halo glow liquid filter, I really do not like found it caused my foundations to separate or look strange no matter the formula
@@EnvyBlu I just find it causes my foundations (oil, water , silicone or emulsion) to separate tried it with high end and drugstore its a shame but here in the uk we have a brand called collection it has one similar which is cheaper and better formula
tbh I've never seen the smile shaped brush to buy or anyone else useing one xx
With Saei, do you get enough product to get adequate sunscreen with your method?
No. I always apply a regular sunscreen first :)
I don't know if I have ever applied cream products directly to my face. I thought that was just a thing for click bait lol. I always apply the product to the back of my hand then pick up the product with a sponge or brush from there.
this is definitely ur color!!
Thank you!

If you use a tiny bit of the Sale you need a separate sunscreen.
I would always recommend a separate sunscreen with the Saie. It would be almost impossible to get proper sun protection otherwise because you would have to wear SO much of it.

@@EnvyBlu lol, right!!!
Less is definitely more with the putty primers! :)
I don't like the powder Luminoso. It's too glittery and makes my skin look textured.
Cream products just don't stay on my skin. Always move around.
